Wednesday morning the Moon moves into Virgo and an opposition with Neptune. Someone’s suffering. Maybe it’s not you, maybe it’s that other guy. Either way, it’s a day to be of service. With three planets in Virgo, it’s a lousy day to get up on a cross and moan. It’s a great day to wash feet, even if you have to drink heavily to keep from throwing up at the thought of feet.
Alternately, it could be a day when one person is elevated over another. Or one part of yourself is elevated while one is overly scrutinized. Try for balance. Nobody’s all saint and nobody’s all whore. Okay, well, me, but I’m a poor example. And I’m not telling you of what.
All this happens in advance of Thursday’s new moon in Virgo. It’s a chance to examine your own heart and feel out where you’ve cast your illusions. Moon at the beginning of Virgo with Sun in the middle and Mercury in later degrees has a mood that blends the heart and mind, opening perception to possibility.
The Moon then moves into sextile with Saturn. Is it right? And later it trines Pluto and quincunxes Uranus. Are you willing to go deep and let in some shocking emotional revelations? Or are you going to stay with your comfortable obsessions and detach from emotional growth?
The new moon takes place early Thursday, so much of the emotional preparation and mulling takes place on Wednesday. Maybe this isn’t a high stakes Moon for you. If not, new moon in Virgo is a great time to make a commitment to forming new healthy habits. You can use this time to work out the best plan for doing that.
Thursday you get a fresh start to go forward in discernment. Wednesday is important in setting that up. Moon sign-ruler Mercury is unaspected; don’t think so hard you step in front of a bus.
