Astrology Today: June 26, 2013 – New Perspective

dry waterWednesday morning the Moon in Aquarius conjuncts Juno and trines Mars in Gemini. It’s a thoughtful and reasonably social mood, one concerned with the quick assimilation of ideas into action. It’s a high-minded mood that translates into the physical. Gandhi said, “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do.” It’s a good day to sweep your own doorstep, and if you have time left over, you might sweep your neighbor’s doorstep as well. There’s likely to be plenty of energy for it!

Jupiter moves into Cancer, its exalted position. This means its energy is especially well in tune here; it performs well in Cancer. It joins the Sun, Venus and Mercury in the sign and applies into the grand trine in water. This turns up the intensity of their influence as Jupiter inflates what it touches Home and family and women are on stage. With Saturn trining Neptune in the other water signs, focusing back on the Sun and Jupiter, there’s bound to be some reality bending. It also brings access to serious transcendence, or the ability to make the ethereal permanent.

With Saturn prominent, boundaries and rules are highlighted. In water, these may not be the type of boundaries and rules you’re used to. This is also the day that Mercury goes retrograde, turning insight inward in watery staid. This is the perfect time to take another look, see another perspective. As Mercury rolled through Cancer, recent events imprinted themselves on the mind. As it covers recent ground in retrograde motion, there’s an opportunity to see these from a different vantage point and improve your understanding.

As this happens, the Moon quinunxes that retrograde Mercury. With effort, the mood facilitates this cogitation. It’s also possible to find yourself mentally just pissing off and checking out. It’s an opportunity missed if you do, though, as it’s not likely to be enjoyable if you do so and the rewards are great if you press on.

By evening, the Moon moves into quincunx with Venus. If you’ve done the mental and physical work, you can get a break, relax and enjoy the fruits of your good works, satisfaction.

  1. Mars in Gemini has been difficult lately, especially during the super moon weekend. I have been a big asshole inside my head. :)

I am actively working on shutting up the negative anger chatter in my head.

  2. What a lovely post!

I just realized why I haven’t even noticed Mars in Gemini…it’s been opposing my natal Neptune. Haha.

  3. Oh wow, perfect description of me too! High energy with underlying, what? Anxiety? Comes out as asshole, at least in my mind. Been trying to rein it in.

Thanks! It’s helpful to have you define it :)

  4. Love Marcus Aurelius. Was just thumbing through Meditations yesterday myself… Think it’s the down-to-earthiness of stoicism that helps ground out all this water going on.

  5. I am all for grass roots change. I am still in the process of getting my head right about intersecting with the inhumanity still going on. I know I need to work in the broken world of company entities but am not comfortable in a world of eat or be eaten. Am I strong enough to not fall apart under the constant strain of those desperate for power over others. I just have to work smarter.

  6. Yes… this helps me considerably at the moment. It could be a lovely night indeed if I can heal these old holes today. No more avoiding or escaping…

I laughed about the road rage and negative angry mental chatter…I’m with ya there!

    awesome post.
