Astrology Today: February 20, 2013 – Water Water Water
“I love scrapes. They are the only things that are never serious.”
“Oh, that’s nonsense, Algy. You never talk anything but nonsense.”
“Nobody ever does.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest
Wednesday morning the Moon in early Cancer trines the Sun-Neptune conjunction in Pisces. With Chiron, Mars and Mercury also in Pisces, that’s a lot of water. It’s well-aspected, but that’s a lot of water. The water has been rising all week and the tide is IN. Emotions are in tune with the energy of the day, but that energy is so diffuse — “How do you pin a wave upon the sand?” — that knowing what to do with them can be a challenge. With Jupiter direct in Gemini, squaring the Piscean energy, this is like lighting a fire under the pot. BUT, as Yoda would say, “There is another…”
There is Saturn in Scorpio. He’s no Leia, but he’ll do. Actually, Leia was kind of the Saturnian one of the young people in Star Wars. Saturn is the anchor. Saturn is the lighthouse in the storm here. In this case, it’s not so much a storm as a fog. Saturn sits on solid ground and calls you back, or warns you away. Saturn trines the middle of the Pisces stellium and touches all of it via the spread out planets in successive conjunction. Pluto sextiles both the stellium and Saturn. The anchor is stuck deep. The foglight is powerful. Look to the structure and the power in your light to anchor or guide you when your feet don’t touch the ground.
The thing that makes folk panic in the fog is that it takes away perspective. There is only the moment, just what you can see close up. But that is not truth. The truth is that everything else in your life is still there and will be there when the fog clears. Keep a hand on that anchor if you get confused.
The Moon is in its own sign in Cancer and that in itself is leveling. Cancer Moon is moody, no doubt, but it’s also at home in the feeling body. Go ahead and have moodiness, just don’t swim too far out to tantrum. Stay tethered. If you can do that, you’ve got it made by evening when the Moon moves into trine with Saturn and a grand trine/kite with Saturn, Pluto and Chiron. The mood is stabilized, powerful, magical and at home in its element.
If you feel yourself twanging, use that Pisces energy, particularly Pisces Mars, to cast some glamor over yourself. We’re talking “jedi wave” here, but we’re also talking “fake it till you make it” and imagination. Scared? Confused? Who’s an archetypal energy you identify with that isn’t? Be that person for the day. That’s what stories are for. They show us the universal roles in many forms and somehow one or more of those will resonate with our personal understanding of our journey. It’s not to show us where to go. It’s to show us we are not alone. Their path is your path only in the fact that we all have one. You will find your own, but some days it helps to give yourself a break and lean on something bigger than yourself.
This may not be the case for you at all, this fog. There are some who will fit right in and feel the bliss. It would be really sweet if they would help shine the way.

“The truth is that everything else in your life is still there and will be there when the fog clears.”
I needed reminding of this. Thank you!
I have an appointment with a health psychologist tomorrow, so this is an appropriate atmosphere, I reckon.
Big pileup o’ planets in my 6th.
I have loved that picture since the first time I saw it, Satori
I’m all a go for all the water works tomorrow
Fits my cancer stellium & 12th house cancer sun just fine,
Angie
I’ve hung on to that image for yeeeeeears! ![]()
thanks all! I think I really needed feedback on this one.
This is so beautiful Satori, and just perfect, thank you.
Been feeling quite lost and frightened in the fog. I love this image too.

Beautiful, Satori. Beautiful story.
I’m in the fog, for sure. Too much Virgo in my chart, and so many things going on that I just don’t know what to make of.
But this article reminded me that as difficult as all these oppositions to those Virgo planets are, each planet in Pisces will at some point form a grand trine with my Cancer ascendant and Scorpio Jupiter. There’s always a bright spot!
Great post, Satori!
We have a print of that painting! It’s wonderful.
I think I will hang it up today.
You have inspired a story of my own, with options about dealing with the under-toe of such Pisces power. http://makuaoo.blogspot.com/2013/02/dressed-in-language-of-story.html.
