Astrology Today: February 18, 2013 – Juiced

Monday morning the Moon in Gemini conjuncts Jupiter, sextiles Uranus and squares Chiron. Emotional perception zings, and the challenge is to not turn so far inward that in thinking too much you squick yourself out. Use Uranus, take it for what it is, an electric moment. There’s no need to hold on. If it’s the right juice, you stay charged.
The Sun in the first degree of Pisces brings in Pisces season officially, on little cat feet (FOG). It also conjuncts Pisces ruler Neptune. This can be a bit disorienting, but it can also be a bit of magic.
Mars and Mercury conjunct in Pisces as Mercury applies into sextile with Juno in Capricorn. These are the last few days before Mercury retrogrades, and this is a great opportunity to solidify some very active perceptions surrounding where you stand on matters of lasting consequence. Much of what you take in now will shape the ideas that make the future real. Actions you take now lay a foundation for a powerful path as Mars sextiles Pluto and trines Saturn.
Venus is unaspected on the midpoint of the Juno-Mercury sextile. This is one of those times on which you later look back and spot the “foreshadowing”.
Mid-day through evening the Moon opposes the midpoint of the Pluto-Saturn sextile, the point of a yod. It’s a particularly good time to make some sense, come to grips with emotionally, some of the long-term changes in your environment. We’re hitting a point where this transformational energy is feeling more familiar, if not comfortable. Go deep, go strong, and don’t let the sexual innuendos hit you in the butt on the way out.

Pisces fog!Mercury Retro: papers in order! My teenage son embarked on a foreign trip with another family – a dad, and his teens, and a teenage friend of the daughter. After herding all into my minivan, I conveyed them to the airport and bade my son aur revoir at the curb. I left and a few minutes later my son called me. He said, “Mom, you have to come back.A— and B– (teen siblings) have expired passports. We have to go downtown.Their dad knows (influential person) who is making a call.”
At the passport agency you pay an extra fee for expedited service. The politico had procured an on the spot appointment for the family. The mom appeared with birth certificates and her blessing. Within two hours we were under way. I drove them back to the airport. They made another flight to the international flight.
My husband is an attorney as is this dad. Our son saw firsthand – There was no bending the rules.Some limits are absolute: Either your papers are in order or they are not. If they are not you shall not pass.
I was bemused that this highly educated gent did not verify the fine print. Immediately I recognized Mercury slowing at work- and Saturn in Scorpio right behind. The butler at the threshold!
More Mercury / Pisces fog mischief- Internet connection is sketchy at their hotel. I’ve had one email but know that this Gemini Moon/ Virgo Sun kid is in paradise. His Venus and Mars are Scorpio. He has grown up a lot since Saturn hit Scorpio- better grades, work ethic and tutoring for reading problem has slowly succeeded.
On the way home from my second trip, I saw a hawk perched in a tree- almost lounging on the branch. It seemed a good omen.
My daughter is Pisces Sun- she turns twelve this Friday. Chiron and Neptune are tight on her Sun. For her party we are doing vision boards and affirmations.
Pisces should help us commune with our animal friends, angels and our unseen helpers. We currently are caring for two neighbor cats while their people travel.
This fog machine is in my 4th so I’m shedding old stuff- recycling and reusing. I read my mum’s diary from the year I was born. Constant visits and convivial- read boozy -repartée. Even in pregnancy! I congratulated myself on my other Piscean loves- service, meditation, writing, reading- energy work. It’s a wonder we all survived!

There is def some foreshadowing happening. Been seeing hawks for the past month and today I just happened to look out my window as he flew into my yard and perched himself way up high on my 50 year old maple tree.
There is transformation happening in every area of my life and it’s kind of exciting.
