Friday night the Moon in late Libra trines Mercury in Aquarius for pleasant ease in communications and sensations. Perception catches the warm cast of the Venus Moon, providing the glow of beauty to what might otherwise prove unusual. The Moon applies into square with Venus in Capricorn, both cardinal, fighting for the golden apple thrown in the ring. Wants and needs, desires common or deep, square off. That trine to Mercury gives the Moon an edge, but never count Venus out. She’s a scrapper in a clinch.

The Moon also applies into trine with Mars and actions arise in service to what truly satisfies. The best bet for the Moon Venus square is to align the Venus, surface preferences and desires with the Aquarian action and perception for a compromise. Align perception and movement with the greater good and a compromise position is likely to emerge.

By the end of the night Venus slips into Aquarius and you won’t have to work so hard. The Moon picks up a trine to Neptune as Mars swims into Pisces, and the possibility for bliss is present.

Saturday night the Moon in Scorpio starts out in quincunx to both Jupiter and Uranus, at the point of a yod. It’s a deeply serious mood, conjunct Saturn, but at the same time infused with electricity and enthusiasm. There’s a feeling anything might happen!

The Moon sextiles Pluto and squares the Sun. The mood and the overall atmosphere of need deepens and endures, but at odds with the humanitarian mode of the day. Saturn tends to keep a lid on that, but it’s a challenge nonetheless. The Scorpio Moon is still getting used to its Saturnine limitations. It’s a powerful night and some will pop. This is less likely to be a resounding pop with Mars in Pisces and all the drinking going on. More of a watery “shloop.”

Juno and Jupiter are unlinked, though natural partners. Juno conjuncts Pluto while Jupiter aspects the Pluto Moon. They connect via the Moon’s sextile to its ruler. The wisdom here (via Saturn conjunct the Moon)? If petty jealousies arise, don’t let them ruin the mood. Is it really deep or serious enough to take into account? If not, take the opportunity to use it for fuel to passion, not amputation. It’s not that it’s a huge risk; it’s a minor influence. However, it’s worth noting should it happen to you.

It is a great night to get your romance on, though, with such an ardent Moon, and Mars conjunct Neptune. Svengali himself never saw such a great opportunity for hypnotic wooing. It’s a night full of power, and staying power.
