Astrology Today: January 17, 2013 – Keep A Lid On

January 16th, 2013 @ 5:00 pm by Satori

“Other people are quite dreadful. The only possible society is oneself.”
― Oscar Wilde, An Ideal Husband

pressure cookerThursday morning the Moon in Aries squares the Pluto-Venus-Juno conjunction. Needs and desires are at odds, with commitment coming down on the side of desire. Juno adds a decidedly sexual theme here (already there with Pluto), as does the sextile from Scorpio Saturn to Venus-Juno. Saturn quincunxing the Moon adds gravity to this challenge, but it also holds the key to stability.

If you’ve got any warring needs and desires, Thursday is a likely boiling point. The Aries Moon is not a sedate mood, it is normally a pot boiler, cardinal and in fire. Uranus in the sign just adds extra pop! Saturn in aspect holds the reins, if you respect them. Do the right thing. Keep a lid on it when appropriate and create boundaries, emotional and in your cravings. That doughnut is not going to leap out of the box and down your gullet.

Later in the day, the Moon sextiles Mars in Aquarius. This is a much better time to act. In fact, if you can hang in there and not blow your steam-head, this influence lends some detachment which aids in a good use of action!

I felt like that pot this afternoon. Holy crap. :/ At least the issues ironed themselves to some satisfaction.

No no. I just didn’t keep my lid on it today.

Though in fairness, even if I had read this in time, I might not have. Egregious wrongs were committed and I decided it was a hill worth dying on.

I’ve got my eye on another hill, too. Haven’t decided that one yet. Gonna hold off and see how I feel about it tomorrow.
