New Moon in Capricorn: January 11, 2013 – Effects Through The Houses

The New Moon in Capricorn has a lot of company! The Sun and Moon meet at 21 degrees Capricorn, joining Venus, Mercury and Pluto in the sign. Mars is in Aquarius, the other Saturn-ruled sign, so the emphasis on Saturn here is off the charts. (see Transit Watch – Stellium in Capricorn)
New Moons are associated with new beginnings. We set our intentions are this time. With all the focus on Saturn, an intention to “sleep more” or “deny more” is not at all appropriate. You want to come up with something that incorporates discipline and commitment. Here are some ideas for each of the houses:
- New Moon in the 1st house pressures you to lead, or perhaps grow up you physical appearance.
- New Moon in the 2nd house asks that you be responsible with money, or earn your self-esteem.
- New Moon in the 3rd house asks that you take responsibility for what you say, making sure your ideas have substance. You may also want to gossip less.
- New Moon in the 4th prompts you to take responsibly for your home and family. Go visit your Grandpa, bring more discipline into the home, even if this means keeping your home in good working order.
- New Moon in the 5th asks that you definite your creative self. How do you shine? Are you fulfilling this?
- New Moon in the 6th house indicates this is a good time to start a health regimen, or a commitment to working harder or helping more.
- New Moon in the 7th asks that you do right by others.
- New Moon in the 8th house is about taking responsibility for your pathology, and perhaps facing your fear of dying. Make a will and such!
- New Moon in the 9th asks that you define your beliefs, and perhaps grow them up. You might also commit to higher education of some kind.
- New Moon in the 10th marks you as an authority figure. You’re to set a good example for others/
- New Moon in the 11th has you take responsibility for manifesting your wishes, hopes and dreams, in reality. If you want it, don’t look at others to get it for you – this is your job!
- New Moon in the 12th asks you to learn about faith and being supported by the ethereal. Also, working with your dreams.

One of my goals for 2013 is to redesign my website (or design an additional one) that reflects me and my work in a more authentic way. The visual concept idea is the easy part, but the wording has my head spinning.
This New Moon will be in my 3rd House, so my intention will be to find the right words that will communicate clearly and authentically this new direction I want my business to go in.
All right! This new moon will be in my 11th house. I’ll have more willpower to make my dreams come true…being able to get a full-time job with benefits where I can use my mind, body and spirit…for the sake of a workplace I am absolutely devoted to.

Using the Equal house house system, this new moon will be in my 1st House. It’s time to focus on wht I eat, how much I eat and get regular exercise. Someone on a post put it well, “manage/lead what I can control”

9 days after this new moon in my 1st house, my natal retro neptune, which is conjunct my midheaven and the apex of a tight t-square- goes direct by progression.
I’m excited, I think.

I just booked my first driving lesson ever on the day of the New Moon. Ha Ha! It either falls in my 7th or 8th. (Not sure on the birth times). If its the 8th, NEW beginnings! 7th? Well, it’s a new partnership with my driving instructor.

This new moon takes place at the exact degree of my IC, a point in the chart that had always eluded me anyway, so not sure what house placement to attribute it to.
Hitting my 10th. I just moved to Colorado a couple months ago and haven’t really nailed down full time work. I have an interview with Aurora Public Schools that day.

It happens on my birthday and lands on my Sun in the 12th house. My intention is to have courage to trust that the Universe will continue to look out for me. In my Solar it takes place in my 5th, with Pluto trining ascendant and Jupiter on Midheaven. That is in San Francisco. I am packing for airport now, ie Mars square Saturn, someone tried to take the chrome off my tailpipe of my bike today, that was kinda mean.
In my 9th house, not sure how it will play for me. My idea is 9th house is the house of education/travel that helps to broaden knowledge.
My parent at my home, very very sick. Fighting with health insurance to get coverage. Fighting to establish there health care. Totally confused to keep them with me or send back home, their home is long way from me. I can’t keep them in my home, that creats problem in my family life. don’t feel comfortable to send them back home.
I’m looking for a direction from my God to remain in correct track with the blessing og God, I’m in such a situation that its only God who can solv my problems, no one else.

I think I might be leading a project but I am hesitating to take such responsibility due to fear of failure. I also just paid for a new pair of red, stylish glasses which I have been thinking about for over a year now since I am not so bold in my appearance for years now and I want a change but don’t want to give the wrong impression at work.
I hope take more leadership at work is a good decision.
Second house…Yep. Both. I am starting to do both right now. I always light an “Abundance” candle during New Moon relating to my job or money situations. Yes I do need to “earn” my self-esteem, but I can always use a “little” help.
This is conjunct my sun in my 7th house and opposed my moon in the 1st. I’d love to hear what you think!

pluto’s right on my venus right now too, squaring natal pluto and transiting uranus. so i guess now would be the right time to make a break from the off on toxic relationship.

Lands in the 5th – I have no planets in my chart there, but I have already set up a new blog site, and my intention? It’s time to start writing again! Life is good, and I need to get back to being ME after four years of trying to be someone I am NOT!

9th house here, conjunct my natal north node and midheaven.
I’m on maternity leave, my career and Ph.D. both on hold. I have no idea if I wish to return to either of them. My whole sense of self was tied up in ambition until I brought home my new lovely son in October, now I am more inclined towards love, nuturing and creating a comfortable domestic scene!
It’s confusing. I set the intent to work towards finding clarity in my life’s purpose.
So weird – I just checked my husband’s chart and the new moon is also conjunct his north node, in the 5th house. He just started parental leave and is looking for creative ways to relieve me from my parenting duties so I can focus on my career again!! Very cool!

It will be in my 9th. I was referred recently to a career/education counselor; the holidays slowed down appointments to talk to her but I should be able to pretty soon. This New Moon looks like a good one to search for feedback and ideas concerning my education and career path.
