Weekend Love Forecast

October 4th, 2012 @ 1:55 pm by Satori

“Enjoy yourself, it’s later you than you think. Enjoy yourself while you’re still in the pink. The years go by as quickly as a wink. Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think!”
–Louis Prima

HugoFriday night the Moon joins Jupiter in Gemini in trining the Libra Sun. That makes for a pleasant environment and a chipper mood overall. When I talk about the transits of the day, they are the general transits. It’s the stage that is set for every play going on in the world. You bring your own play with you, and your play interacts with the plays of others. Each individual play and the interactions of play to play take place on the same stage with the same set. The set brings a tone to the play, but it does not determine the plot!

Life runs the gamut of a set performance all the way to total improv. It’s rarely just one genre either. Even the simplest comedy has tragedy in real life. Even the darkest drama has its moments of truth and light. With the Moon conjunct Jupiter in Gemini, this is a great time to see how you contribute to the writing of your own play, and to philosophize or infuse it with some wit if you find that’s lacking!

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that you’re writing all your own lines and get caught up in the scene. With Venus squaring Mars and opposing Neptune, its easy to get caught up in the moment and forget just who’s in charge of your own actions… you. Saturn and Mercury newly in Scorpio play into this. Slow your mind down and take deep responsibility for your script. Saturn and Mercury sextile Venus and trine Neptune. Follow the script you, yourself are writing, not some pages someone else just threw at you in the last minute before you hit the stage.

All weekend, Venus applies into a trine with Pluto. The overall aesthetic goes deeper and acquires power. It is earthy and ripe for fancy (due the opposition to Neptune). Mars in Scorpio is a great compliment in many ways. I won’t embarrass us all by enumerating the many ways in which it can go deeper.

Saturday night the Moon slips from Gemini into Cancer, its own sign. As this happens it is part of a grand trine with Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio (with Mercury thrown in for good measure). This is prime time to manipulate reality to tune up your mood, to write your own script. You don’t get to write anyone else’s lines, but you sure get to write your own. Make them compelling enough and you may find people jumping ship to join your scene. Or look for someone who’s doing some great “writing” themselves and jump right in. You can very much create your own mood and mood affects how you view reality, if not reality itself. They feed back on each other. Perception of reality is not to be discounted in regard to emotional outlook.

What are your weekend plans?

I like that perspective on those transits! The common set with our unique plots.
I think I may call my mom this weekend. She’s always had tarot readings with her girlfriends over the phone, I could go for one of moms good old fashioned tarot readings. She’s not up on the latest astrological transits (though she knows its my saturn return —at 0 degrees Scorpio). SO it’ll be interesting to gather an unbiased interpretation with regard to the time frame of these transits.
I appreciate this forum very much!
The mercurial aspect is felt! Sat in a cafe writing about these paintings I am uncharacteristically astonished with; i realize how Saturn/Scorpio they are: Well rendered and intense imagery. “Mythos” is the artists name.
I’d like to find a scanner printer to make a ZINE :)

that’s GREAT, Thomas The Twin! I find I’m fighting the urge to see your name as Thomas The Tank Engine… due to my own automatic associations with the name! and that’s a pretty apt expression of the Neptune situation! I’d better watch myself!

making a zine sounds like a fantastic use of this energy!

Oh man, I do love me some Louis Prima. How can yo not?

Plus I have very fond memories of a weekend my ex fiance and I took off out of town. We couldn’t afford to go to Vegas, so we got ourselves a cocktail set (martini glasses, shaker, ice bucket) and a CD sampler of lounge music – Rat Pack, Louis Prima and Keely Smith, you get the idea – and took off in the car for Temecula. We holed up at a mediocre hotel, drank lots of gin, and listened to lounge tunes for a couple days. It was ghetto, sure, but it was FABULOUS.

<3 (BTW? He has TONS of Pisces. I have Gemini/Sadge. Mutable signs, TRANSCEND!)

I'm not totally sure yet of my weekend plans, but I do know they involve my KEB and he will appreciate your Mars in Scorpio reference. ;)

I love that faux-Vegas story!

Saturday we have an early funeral, then taking my kids to work to do hair on people I like. it’s a weird plan, I know, but for some reason I think it will be a good day. after that… who knows!!! anything is possible!

Great take on the weekend’s play writing. I love the angle of attuning to being the playwright in charge of my script alone; and the Scorpio-Mars spotlight is nice!

Honestly it’s one of my favorite memories. We got poker chips and played a few hands, as I recall – but there *was* a lot of booze so you know, I could be mistaken. I do distinctly remember driving out past civilization and stopping at the Ontario outlet mall for supplies, though. xD

I still have the martini set – though the shaker is hiding somewhere right now, I wash those martini glasses from time to time and make myself a tasty beverage in them. I try to keep something warm and positive from each long term relationship I have; from him, I got a deeper appreciation of Louis Prima, good booze, and making good memories.

And a martini set, natch. I could hardly call myself a lush without one of those.

Also: most of my corpses (Venus-Pluto) are friendly ones, at least. I feel pretty lucky about that.

I have an odd weekend. Friday night a Burning Man decompression party. The shenanigans are on, apparently. All night long.

But I shall have to resist some heavy fire to get the hell out at a reasonable time because I have an early morning hot Moksha yoga class (the first in a series) on Saturday morning.

Your description is apt for the shit I am already feeling…

@ CeeCee. Yes. Big days for 12th house people!!! I’m with you on that one. :)

There is nothing in this that explains why my chain saw won’t start. :( Now there, I was expecting something. I was expecting that it would start. Rat bastard machines!

:D I would like to have written that on the repair ticket. But in these parts the debble is taken very seriously. If the repair guy decided to shoot the saw, I would not have a chance of recouping the loss in small claims court.
