Weekend Love Forecast

August 23rd, 2012 @ 11:00 pm by Satori

“And though you don’t believe that they do, they do come true, for did my dreams come true when I looked at you. And maybe too if you would believe, you too would be overjoyed, over love, over me.”
–Stevie Wonder, “Overjoyed”

Stevie WonderFriday evening the Moon in buoyant Sagittarius starts out in trine to electric Uranus in Aries. That’s a good deal of fire and bound to do much for lightening (lightning?)(sorry, bad astro-pun!) up the mood. The atmosphere should prove fun-loving, adventurous and whatever is the opposite of needy and clingy. By the end of the night the Moon opposes its sign ruler, Jupiter, in Gemini. This makes for a boisterous time! Now add in aspects to Mercury from both the Moon and Jupiter, with Mercury in Leo to boot (more fire), and you’ve one heck of a pot-boiling good time!

That’s a great atmosphere for those who are in the mood for such raucus yahoo-ing, but it could really stick in the craw of someone who’s not in the mood for shenanigans. Jupiter, Sadge and Leo all mixed up with Mercury can make for major “foot in the mouth”. Not you, never you! But perhaps someone else, yeah, someone else.

Venus in Cancer is a bit out there on its own this weekend without any close, major aspects. This could result in not quite hitting the sweet spot at times. Maybe there are things at home that need sorting and they’re just there in the back of your mind. However, it is on the midpoint of Jupiter and Mercury, so it can be a calming factor if things get out of hand!

Saturday night the later degree Sadge Moon sextiles Saturn, and Juno sits on the Moon-Saturn midpoint. Sadge Moon does NOT like to be held back, but that Scorpio Juno can mediate the urge to bolt. If you’re feeling tied down or held back, take the time to remember WHY. Oh yeah, this was what I wanted! That can help you relax. This could also go the other way of someone using the same reasoning to manipulate. It doesn’t have to be a big deal and with a Sagittarius Moon is is entirely possible to rise above and not let it spoil a good time!

All weekend long the Sun in Virgo (grounded earth) opposes Neptune in Pisces and trines Pluto in Capricorn (more earth, just deeper, dirtier earth). This lends the ability to mellow, zone out, endure. The bullshit is detected, but it can also be easily transcended if you choose.

If a gregarious good time with joyful fellows (blowhards) sounds like just what you need, this is your weekend! If you know this is not your scene, you could go check it out and see how you feel, because you just might find you’re able to go with the flow. But don’t put yourself through a whole night of bother if you don’t acclimatize. Move on to something else. The Sadge Moon supports this! If something sounds a little mellower than you’d usually like, give it a chance; it might surprise you. In any case, if it’s not the right evening, get a move on and get on to something else! This is a moon for adventure and optimism. If someone is harshing your mellow, tune it out or hoof it on out of there!

Walk of ShameMars is newly in Scorpio and while it’s still in orb of conjunction to Saturn, Mars in Pluto’s sign is HOT. Mars in water is WET. Mars trines Neptune, so you can fool yourself, be fooled, or fool others, but the Sun will rise the next day and shine on whatever you have dragged back to your lair. Pack morning-after supplies (pants!) if you think there might be a walk of shame. Have a GREAT time; it could be a truly magical weekend if you avoid the beer goggles and beware the undertow!

What are your weekend plans?

Maybe my morning after bag should include a chain saw so I can cut my arm off just to get away.

Perhaps I should stay in and watch Coyote Ugly instead.

Many thanks Satori, I am SO feeling the above, and I’ll be choosing to stay in my lair with supplies. What with the heat and my cat bringing in a flea infestation, I’ll be dealing with that instead….

I have double booked parties all weekend with music galore. It sounds like a good weekend to go let it all out and sing the weekend away. I need the release. Lookout world!

Good weekend to dive off an 80-foot building into the harbor? Or rather, watch some guys do the diving: http://www.icaboston.org/red_bull_cliff_diving/

LOL.. boy am I glad I’m not young, horny, and stupid anymore, for this weekend. My only plans so far include a PINK TEA fundraiser luncheon on Saturday, with guest speakers. Fun for me because I get to dress up and socialize safely. :-)

Thank you for putting this song in my head. It’s been the mental soundtrack for my comings and goings for about five hours. Fortunately, it’s a lovely song and not at all annoying. Wishing good thangs to everyone this weekend.

And tomorrow’s my Mars return, so I am looking forward to launching some plans that have been simmering for some time.

After several days of gogogo, I’m ready to finish work, stop at the store to buy dog food, and then just go home and hide in my room and do absolutely nothing. I’m talkin’ 7pm bedtime. (not my usual thing!) Just feeling emotionally worn out. :(

Sounds like it could be a double edged sword kind of weekend. I’m okay. Some really good times so far, but it can be difficult when there is stress in nearby quarters. I got a weak spot for some people, what can I say? When their stuff is affecting me, I’ve been setting a time limit on how long I mope in concern. Two hours grieve time is the max block of time so far. Oh look time is up, onward with the day! :D
