Weekend Love Forecast

August 16th, 2012 @ 7:08 pm by Satori

“Never never gonna give you up; I’m never ever gonna stop, not the way I feel about you. Girl I just can’t live without you.”
–Barry White

SunsetFriday night the Moon has moved past its new moon conjunction to the Sun in Leo, but the drama lingers. I know I probably overuse the Barry White references in these posts, but there’s a reason for that. In my mind, all the best weekends lead back to Barry. By the time the Sun goes down the Moon has moved from Leo to Virgo. Virgo is an earth sign, and can be oh so sexy, baby. That sexy Moon opposes Neptune in Pisces, magical, musical, an island lapped by water.

By date time Saturday night that Moon is in full bloom, trining Pluto (sex) and sextiling Venus (desire). Leo Mercury quincunxes Pluto and splits the difference between the Moon and Venus. So now we know we’ve got the setup for a dramatic, sensual weekend, but have we got the motor? Mars conjuncts Saturn in Libra-ruled Venus. All night long, baby, all weekend long…

What are your weekend plans?

If things go according to *plan*, we’ll be redoing the floor system on my friend’s brother’s house. Unfortunately, things rarely go according to plan. Here’s hoping we get something accomplished!! I’d really like to feel productive :-p We hardly got anything done today. :-/

My Scorpio son, who has anleo moon and mars in libra will be in his first football game Saturday morning :) he’s excited! Heck so am I :)

Then him and Taurus sister go to their dads for the weekend and I may just lay around reading, I’ve had no better offers in over a year.

Satori…have you ever thought about writing romance novels? My Virgo venus isn’t really into them, but a ton of other gals are. You could make a mint with your descriptions! :-)

Ready for that date with my exboyfriend of three weeks, Mr. Taurus, hoping I can rekindle the fire. Sure got the miniskirt, set my intention during new moon, now praying to Saint Barry and the Virgo Moon to do the rest. ; ) send me good happy vibes!

All I can say… my week-end plans do not include any clothing. ::smirk::

oh Norah, thank you! I think I’d get embarrassed and stupid if I tried to write like that on purpose. I’ve been known to spout snortingly awful non sequiturs in bed: “I have a deviated septum.”

@CArRiE – LOL. Enjoy. :)

I always love it when you post that Barry White photo – makes me chuckle (in a sexy way of course) every time! Alas my bf had oral surgery yesterday, so the weekend plans are going to be pretty low key. But I just celebrated the New Moon in my first house by buying myself a new top from the consignment shop and a fun necklace from another local shop. Feelin’ that Leo energy! The New Moon is a good 10° from my Ascendant and natal Moon, but close enough for me. :-)

I’m sorry I got stuck on the deviated septum.

*roaring laughter*

Unfortunately, not seeing any of my men this weekend. It’s a spa-time and purge-clean weekend. Which, really, is a good Virgo moon thing too.

tonight i am going to a ritual in the forest entitled: the marriage of the sun and moon. there’s a real wedding cake and tree forts, absinthe and plenty of costumes. just the thing to do after a long, long day of farming.
happy new moon everyone!

A rip roaringly funny romance novel…I think you could pull that off Satori. What fantastic Christmas presents they’d make. :)
I think you’ve got Erma Bombeck genes. Ugh..you’re probably too young to remember her? I have no weekend plans. It’s just me and my Miss Maggie dog. We’ll go for a bike ride. She rides on the front in a basket. And I’ll visit my neighbor who is back now from rehab after a hip operation.

Your weekend love posts are always the opposite of what I experience, and I always wonder why. The reading I bought from you was the opposite of what I experienced, and I wonder about that, too, WTH?

@ Satori…Judith V. and James Thurber..two of my favorites also! I should use the weekend to hit the library to see if any of their books are therein. I haven’t enjoyed either of these authors in years. Time for a reread. Just in case you have not read it yet, I found Bill Bryson’s “A Walk in the Woods” to be LOL well written satire.

I like both James Thurber (was just thinking of him this week and hadn’t seen this thread until just now) and Erma Bombeck. “If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doning in the pits?”

PS. I’m too young to know of them too…I just said that! hahaaa

LOL @hltb…I was intro’d to J. Thurber in high school some 50 years ago. Do they still include him in literature in schools now? I went to parochial schools back then.

@norah – “Do they still include him in literature in schools now?”

I really don’t know but if I’m to answer that based on what I see and hear from that age group at this time, I’d say definitely not! I’m not sure what they include in literature in schools these days if it isn’t on utube or some soical twitter/flitter pointy-clicky.

Satori!!!

I know, you already know. You’re a Pisces. But yeah, good call. I’m just catching up and you were right. :D

Good night, and good morning. I can deal with that. XD

You could totally write romance novels. Especially Sci-fi themed campy ones. There’s a market for that. And they send you a “formula” kit when you write to the publisher–Harlequin does it, I’m sure they all do.

Why not? It would be hilarious.

What a great new moon… for being reunited with a lover after several weeks apart, and getting to spend some totally unexpected alone time with him, siiiiiiiiighhhhh. My natal Pisces moon is swimming today.
