If you dress and feel the call of the deep, dark and sexy, you are dressing for Scorpio. I write these posts with the pure sign in mind so pick bits and pieces if you dress for Scorpio or Pluto sometimes or a little and take it all the way if you are completely tipping toward the Scorpio when you create yourself. Scorpio dressers are aware at all times of their sexuality and know how to present it the best. They have their ways of subtly bringing their sexuality forward, and at times they will throw it all out there for kill. Fun for all of us, the Pluto dresser or a person with Pluto transiting them full force will bring us beloved styles like “Goth” and the like. It is a classic form of dressing with a few new pieces and cuts coming out each year to update the look and it is going nowhere! Let’s get Scorpio; I love this sign because I respond to Scorpio myself when I dress so this is fun for me!
Bless your hearts, Scorpio dressers, “Goth” has made a comeback in a very creative and rich way! This means new and bold black leather, black separates and black dresses paired with wicked shoes. The new leathers can be full length dresses, loose fitting jackets and pants, little leather jackets that work with black, flouncy skirts and wild, creatively cut coats and jackets! Black pieces that are sheer and layered over red sheer fabric to give it an even spookier, sexier kick paired with loose flouncy black sweaters look new, fun and a bit dangerous. You know who you are who cannot resist black! Your time is now, for black is “in” and so are you. Not that a Scorpio dresser will not keep wearing black no matter what color is “in” but now more is available for you to indulge yourself! Embrace exotic prints this season and there are plenty of faux prints out there.
I like the new sheer-layered dressing in black with a touch of red peeking out. You can achieve this by layering sheer black wool sweaters over sheer cotton sweaters in black or black wool shorter sweaters over a longer sheer sweater in a blood red. Layering is very key this season on the streets so feel free to layer away and use cotton and wool along with whatever fabrics you love. Keep pieces sheer or top sheer pieces with one heavier sweater or coat in black if you live in a colder climate. One nice pair of loose leather, black pants might be a good addition to your wardrobe because leather pants can look smashing and sophisticated when the cut is baggy and edgy. Tight leather leggings and pants can certainly by used this season, but why not choose a new cut that has room and is comfortable all the time? Other leather choices include dresses that are wool or other fabrics with leather parts such as leather sleeves or even wide leather stripes down the middle. These pieced-together leather and wool or mixed-fabric dresses come in every length from butt grazing to maxi. You can find something with leather in it in black in just about every shape, and creative shapes are happening this fall. If you buy one piece this season, go for something in a new shape in black leather or with leather parts to kick up your wardrobe. That is, if you buy something new for your body, shoes should be indulged in every season.
Black dresses and tops with sheer black inlays are popular now on the streets. A street style has a lot of power and designers watch the street as much as any of us for ideas. These dresses, skirts and tops are made of black fabric and have sheer inlays on the side, back or top to give them a very edgy look. You can take any of these pieces and tone it down a bit by wearing it with something more conservative or go all the way with Pluto dressing and knock it out of the park in all black! Wearing nicely cut, somewhat conservative black pieces with one very sexy piece is a great way to dress. If you want to get your message across but want to be more subtle, try the trick of wearing classic clothing in black and, for example, top it with a sharply-cut black jacket! Blood red looks good this season for mixing with your black and I love the look when it is in a skirt. The color has to be blood red and not apple red to make it work right with the new black look.
Low slung skirts and wide-legged pants in prints look great with black this fall so think about this look when you are planning your wardrobe of attack! Even floral in low slung pants with wide legs or long maxi skirts works with a shock of a black sweater in a daring and flowing cut. If you are a Scorpio dresser and need to keep it real for the job, you may think about adding the floral or garden prints to your black to cut it a bit but still look new. Yes, floral in the fall and garden in the fall are great street and real looks that women can carry and look sexy but all business. Not everyone can wear black from head to toe so there are ways to mix and match and get your black on while passing it off at the office no matter how conservative your career. Your pieces and dresses should show a waist of some sort, but it does not have to be a tight waist if that makes you uncomfortable. I don’t like a tight waist myself and avoid belts, so if you don’t want to get caught up in a tight waist, give the look of a waist by having your pieces stop there on the body instead of going to the tunic length. Also, wear your black pants and skirts as loose as you like and in some of the new shapes that are out today. The look is either sharp edged or slouchy with soft lines or razor sharp edges. You have a lot to choose from if you like black so get out and shop a bit if you are a Scorpio dresser.
Lastly, tricks for the Scorpio dresser to help them feel comfortable but not go over the edge to “Goth” or to “Rock and Roll” are out there. Keeping black near your face and mixing with prints of any kind will take the edge off but keep your energy where you like it, controlled. Sheer black sweaters worn over blood red sheer sweaters with a print with black or red in it will also keep your energy safe. Adding a new leather jacket whether it is black sheerling, a long black maxi coat, a black biker jacket or any other great black shape for leather coats this season or black shoes will be a way to keep it real, and you can wear prints in between and under these pieces.
Shoes for the Scorpio dresser are great and out there in abundance. Some of the new looks for you that appeal are black leather or black exotic faux-skin boots that are flat and tight to the leg are great for everyday walking. Blood red and black are a combo you might see a lot of this season in shoes from boots to platforms and sharp-heeled pumps with pointed toes. For evening or if you are the Scorpio dresser who goes all out for day, there are great high heeled black or blood red pumps that have pointed toes and look fab! Wearing a blood red shoe with black clothing is a great look, so think about trying that color on this season as it should be available. If you want to keep it easy on the leg and foot keep the heel of your boot flat but make sure it fits your leg. You can also wear a platform boot which is very popular this season if you choose a platform with a lot of platform but not a lot of lift. Platforms are happening in the fall and little booties are still the rage. The bootie has been out so long I think this should be the last year to invest in them, but yes, they are still very popular this fall. Buy the very best leather you can find in black leather and treat your shoes or boots in a protective covering before you wear them. Take care of them by treating them with leather cleaner or conditioner from time to time and take them to the tailor before the heel is worn too far down and whenever you need a new and fresh sole. Invest in your shoes and boots and they will pay you back in spades, Scorp types!
Big hair is okay this season, Scorpio type! Let your curls curl and let your hair wave if it is long or short! A Scorp dresser can pull off the look of pulling the hair smoothly from the face in a very dramatic way better than any other sign! If you want something edgy, remember that your type slicks their hair back and makes it happen when they do! Braids, dreads and the like are all styles you can sport. Use product to get your hair going with texture, and if you are a Scorpio dresser stay away from those neatly curled ends on hair that others wear so well. You need hair that says “step back out of my energy” and that means letting it do its thing with no in-between! Sharply cut bangs, sharp edges on cuts, spikey hairstyles all work for you. I can’t tell you the number of Scorpio dressers I know who rock the ponytail with the hair slicked back as smooth as it can be and pull it off without a hitch! These intense looks say it all for you and you don’t have to talk. Long hair with ends tinted dark look smashing, and a new look for very curly hair is to cut it shorter and let it curl giving you a halo of curls that looks edgy right now.
So much more to tell, Scorpio types, but so little room. I plan on writing more fashion articles so I will cover some more fun things for you in the future. Please feel free to post questions about everything you wonder about in the world of fashion, and if I can’t answer it I know my friends can! This is a great year for your style, Scorpio dressers, so have a great time shopping for Fall!
