Leo, how I love writing about you and your fashion! I have Leo myself that affects my dressing so I relate, but also those with Leo tendencies, that is, Leo dressers, are so much fun! The idea is to show up and to show up in an excellent way, pushing the envelope just as far as you can push it in good taste. Some of you Leo-type dressers can push farther than others, but still you all push it and what fun you have doing it!

Whether it’s your clothing, and by clothing I mean jackets, shoes, etc, or your hair, you will be seen, and seen in a wonderful light that entertains those around you. What is fashion but art and who is more creative than Leo? Bringing drama to the table without spilling over the edge is key. Knowing how far to push it and where to push it is the secret to excellent Leo-type dressing.

This fall, Leo, you will see some fur and animal print like you never saw it before or not for for seasons and seasons. Faux fur is what I recommend and if you have a touch of Leo or a lot of Leo that is influencing you, it is almost your right to wear faux fur even if it’s a touch. Even if fur is not your thing and you have never touched it this is the season to entertain the idea. I bring this up first because of the fashion trends this fall and the ways that faux fur is being seen for the first time. You may find sweaters with fur collars, sweaters with fur sleeves, dresses with fur around the hem and even shirts where the front is faux fur and the back is knit. This makes it easy for you to show your stuff.

The Leo-type dresser needs to highlight their face or more to the point, the hair. No self respecting Leo type will leave the house with bad hair and a “bad hair day” is something a Leo can’t get over no matter how hard they try! So, to get your face and hair highlighted think about a coat or sweaters that help you show up. Fur collars on sweaters look fab. Fur sleeves on sweaters look great to bring the eye up. If you have legs to die for, fur hems on dresses will look great. Stick with faux fur to be correct and find a way to have a blast for the first time or again with fur!

To frame the face and hair is, as I said, key, and the way you dress should involve jackets that have collars that demand notice. The juicy part for Leos this season is that coats and jackets have taken on shapes you have never seen before with collars that are new and just exciting enough to get your attention. Yes, black is big but color and prints work nicely on you Leo types so think about looking at a new coat or jacket this season. I know I always steer you to your neckline but truthfully it is a great look for you. The new jackets and coats come in many weights, many lengths and even prints. The colors of these new jackets are excellent and worth the money. A colored coat in red or green punches up a wardrobe like nothing else and adding a collar that is one of a kind or very rare is even better for Leo-minded dressers! Think when you purchase a new piece for your upper body, “Does this frame my face well?” This question is so very important for you!

Of course there is the gypsy look described in. The gypsy look can be glammed up to work for a Leo very well if that is your game. Remember to use pieces with tons of fringe and think about leather as well. Dresses will be about the hourglass shape, so if you are a dress girl think about dresses with strong waists that have a collar or print that knocks you out. Prints are big in blouses and dresses so think about something with gold or silver in the print. You are either a gold person or a silver person but you are one or the other so keep that in mind. A pattern swirled with some gold or some silver will keep you smiling and make that statement you love to make.

Key to Leo types is to not go overboard with the drama. Well placed drama is the idea so choose one or so of the above or choose something with your hair from below and let it be your statement because using drama from head to toe is not you. If you are a Leo dresser who loves jewelry, keep your necklaces close enough to the face to allow for your signature look to happen. If you decide to go with a happening shoe try to keep the rest of your look a bit tame to set off the wild shoe you are sporting. If you go for a fur collar, keep the clothing a bit simple to keep the collar jumping out and not appear overdressed. A drop of intense drama is all you need to cheer you and everyone who loves watching you! Sometimes people love to watch Leo to see what they are wearing every day. Mind you, this is Leo-type dressers and not all Leos Suns are this way. It’s not unusual for you to have a following that watches every thing you wear and to not disappoint make sure you have your signature look happening. I am simply giving you your new choices for this season in order to pump up your look and make some fun changes.

Jackets in unusual shapes and colors or prints, dresses and blouses in jeweled tones that have prints with gold or silver accents, faux fur as it’s never been done before are all ideas that will fly for seasons to come. The truth is that fashion is making a big change this season and the lady is “in.” “In” however, does not mean boring or “ladylike.” It may mean touches of class here and there in your wardrobe or blouses that have unique prints or shapes with your jeans. Jeans will often have thin leg, not skinny cut but thin or flares. Flares balance hips and will stay with us forever. You will have the choice of dark or light wash. Light wash is being shown because on the street the dark wash rules. However, if you choose all the black I will write about in future articles, you many want to wear dark wash and kick it up a notch.

As I said, if your hair is bad, you are mad. You, if you are Leo influenced when you dress, cannot abide bad hair. Don’t skip your trims and think about your color. Bright auburn hair is very hip right now and so are reds that are soft and light. Blond is blond again, very blonde, so think about going even lighter if you haven’t yet. Wispy layers and long bangs swept to the side rule the day this season. Make the color and cut work for your hair type to keep you happy, or if you are the Leo type that loves to work on your hair, go ahead and think about the cuts that can be worn straight or curly. There are many cuts now that can go between curly and straight, although bone straight is sort of yesterday’s news unless you want to show your color highlights in their best light. Blond hair with different color highlights here and there is a popular look and by color I mean teal, light light auburn and light blue type colors. You may want to have your hair dresser to take just a few pieces of your hair and tint it a funky color while leaving the rest a very modern but classy color. To have the strange strand here or there is very hip right now and works for just about everyone no matter what their career. Color is very dramatic this season which suits you perfectly so take advantage of the new colors available in salons!

Whether your hair is long or short remember that the styles that work best are those that have wispy cuts because they look great whether blown out or left curly. If you have shorter hair think about curling it tight in smaller curls for a funky look. If you blow out your hair every day or whenever you wash it think about adding some product to texturize and use a diffuser to give it a whole new look. The idea is to wear your hair how you feel and think of hairstyles that give you options. If you are a Leo type, you want your hair to work every time and all the time so cut matters. Never forget dreads for Leo types or braids because you of all signs, save a few, can pull them off without a problem.

If shoes are where you make your statement, Leo type, platforms still rule the day while spikey heels make a comeback. The trick is to buy a two-toned shoe or a shoe with a dramatic heel that is bejeweled, carved of wood or otherwise impressive. Wear them with prints and even if you are one to wear flat shoes, try a two-toned flat shoe or even a two toned oxford. Black and white is nice as are leather and faux animal print. The heels are standing out and making the statement in any type of shoe but don’t think you can’t make your feet sing in flat heels. Flat platforms look great and don’t hurt while they may even be padded. Tennis shoes in black or brown are popular and can be worn with many clothes that didn’t look right with white tennies. If you are a heel wearer, don’t be afraid to go a bit crazy with patterns on your platforms, and remember that platform booties are still the rage. Booties will be with us forever for they can be worn with pants or skirts and all of them can be found in a flat platform too. If you have a problem picturing a flat platform do a search on the internet for ideas and you will see some great ones.
