Weekend Love Forecast

“Do I really feel the way I feel?”
–Marc Cohn, “Walking in Memphis”

Taittinger ChampagneThe Moon travels through Pisces all weekend starting out in conjunction with its ruler, Neptune, winding up in late degrees Saturday night applying into a square to Venus that is exact Sunday morning. Neptune quincunxes retrograde Mercury all weekend as well. All that Neptune/Pisces is magical and casts an aura of magic over the next few days.

This can take the form of a sparkly glamor, smoothing over the rough corners, casting a romantic light on the proceedings. It can also obscure reality and fog up the lense of perception (with Mercury involved). Neptune mixed up with Mercury can totally be beer goggles, with or without actual beer. Things can seem or feel (Mercury and the Moon) either better or worse than they really are. But, there is also a mutable quality that makes it possible to use this to your advantage and “push” yourself to see or feel the brighter side, if you wish. It’s also possible to have someone else work this kind of magic on you if you’re not taking care to see things as they really are.

Sunday morning the Moon Venus square with Saturn involved is indicative of consequences. Stay in touch with reality and/or do the right thing and things can turn out really well. Try to fool yourself or someone else and you could end up feeling really lousy. The Moon square Venus is classic Stones “you can’t always get what you want”, but its ending up in flow with Saturn shows that “if you try sometimes (responsibly)… you get what you need.”

The Sun in Leo nicely sextiles Mars in Libra; ego and action are on board! This is a great bonus for the weekend as there’s an overall flavor of sunshine and movement. There’s also the opportunity and the drive to act in an upbeat and pleasant fashion that offsets the shimmery undertow of that Pisces Moon. When in doubt, keep moving and act in ways you know to be compatible with who you are at your core.

What are your weekend plans?

“Tell me are you a Christian child?”
And I said “Ma’am I am tonight”

Great song, satori.

I’ve got moon square Venus and I’m confused. I can never tell if it’s moon rejecting Venus or Venus rejecting moon.

Wow Rachael, I have Moon sq. Venus, and I never thought about it that way. However, considering it’s Virgo Saturn Moon sq. Sag Venus Neptune…I think I can confidently say it’s Moon rejecting Venus. (Or rather, Saturn getting in there and telling everyone what’s up.)

*sigh* What I really want to do this weekend is take a trip to see my dance teacher perform, but funds are a lot shorter than I thought they were, so I may be staying home. I thought Mars transiting through my 2nd house would mean *more* money! WTF.

I always think of what Sancho Panza says in Man of La Mancha: “whether the stone hits the pitcher or the pitcher hits the stone, it’s going to be bad for the pitcher.”

They work together, both have an effect/are affected. however, it is only the moon that feels.

I don’t look at it in terms of one rejecting the other, more as each having preferences or needs that conflict with those of the other.

I have a Saturn Moon and one thing of which I try to remind myself is that just because something FEELS like rejection, that doesn’t mean it is in actuality. I’m wired to feel rejected more easily than many.

Hi Satori :) I’m thankful for a little neptune/moon play. I’ve been feeling black and blue and bummed all over. So I put my makeup on and did my hair and listened to my favorite music and told myself I look beautiful :) I plan on staying home, but doing a lot of pampering. Hot baths, manicure/pedi the whole nine yards.

I came to same conclusion last night about the issue of rejection, too. I was feeling as my kids say “butthurt” over my perception that people just don’t like me and then I realized they’ve got their own stuff going on that has nothing to do with me so whatevah. If that’s beer goggles that’s cool. I’ll take it. I’ve got a good chart but my own moon is totally the black sheep.

yeah, I get butthurt too (and I also say that!). I think putting it into the perspective that others are not as motivated toward us personally is actually pretty rational. :) but the beer goggle thing can help keep that perspective in place. it’s doing the jedi wave on yourself. “this is not the neurosis that I seek.” :D

Yes! Jedi mind tricks and rationality are wonderful tools when we need to get out of the hole of self-recrimination.

Y’all are making me think this natal moon/neptune thing may actually be a blessing. (And I have Saturn-moon opposite within minutes of each other)

“I don’t know how I feel so I’m going to stop and think about it” . . . heh. Totally me.

This looks to be a good weekend. I don’t have tons planned, but enough to keep me busy and little enough that I will be able to rest.

@Satori:) I love that…”doing the Jedi Wave on yourself” could come in useful tomorrow.

Our Chef is Pisces. I tend to fly under the radar when we have the moon in a water sign.

Neil Young at Red Rocks Sunday evening!! With my favorite man-my dad!

What I really need/want is the love of my life to take at least one brick out of his wall. We are so close…to that final push of communication rising of the phenix.

Thanks Satori & Elsa!!
