Notes On Astrology Consulting

July 7th, 2012 @ 6:18 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

I do a lot of consulting and patterns emerge. I work with a lot of people who have Saturn transiting their 12th house or near their ascendent. I also work will a large number of people who have Saturn transiting their 4th house or their IC. I seem to be the go-to person when Saturn hits home or if a person is lost or pressured.

People with Pluto transits to the Sun, Moon or angles are another population I frequently work with. These days, that means Uranus is involved as well and this will be the case through 2015. Their situations are often drastic, but they offer dramatic opportunities as well. I think I am called in these cases because these transits overwhelm and exhaust people. The people around them become saturated so it helps to go outside your realm.

The last group I work with a lot are people who have transits to what are difficult charts to begin with. These people usually have more than one transit going, such as Saturn to a T-square in their chart and Neptune to their angles, or whatever. These are people who constantly have to make an effort to stay in balance. They have a lifetime of experience and they’re often very good at this, but sometimes get kicked over a line.

As for personal challenge, I work with legions of commitment-phobic type people. Being commitment-phobic myself, I understand the problem to the nth degree. I’ve resolved it in my own life so definitively have skills in this area.’

I often work with people who want a reality check or an outside perspective. I work with people who have a lot of power they have to manage, or secrets they have to contain. I work with people who are stuck and people who have become un-stuck, often against their (conscious) will, and find themselves in a fight.

Last, I work with a lot of people who are in a conflict. They may have a legal problem or a power struggle at work and need some kind of strategy.

What’s great about this, is that I enjoy working on every single thing I mentioned. It’s like giving someone who loves math a math class to go to. I am energized by this stuff, rather than drained. This is how I know that this is the job for me.

Do you like your job?

No I don’t :( It’s a low-paying job, and I’d rather be doing what I went to school and got into debt for. But alas, I need the work credentials and I need money to save up for the future. Saturn’s parked in the middle of my 10th house right now.

I have a 12 degree cap rising, midheaven in scorpio at 4 degrees, conjunct neptune at 0 degrees in scorpio, so I just tune into a different radio station, however this has been a challenging spring. I love this life.

Great… Saturn is currently transiting my 12th H and nearing my Scorpio ascendent. Guess I’ll keep you in mind for a reading if/when needed ;-) With Saturn conjunct my sun/chiron natally in the 5th H, I hope this is just more of the same for me…?

About my job, love it! It’s taken 20+ years to go from the lowest paying job in the company to one of the most sought out positions. Ton of hard work… especially for a woman. But my life has really been all work and very little play. Would love to play someday…

Yes, I love my job and I’m grateful that you love what you do so well Elsa! I’m currently in that first group you mentioned (Saturn is in transit through my 12th house) and I got so much from my consultation with you! Thanks again!

Hi Elsa,
I think you should put this essay in the pull down area of your chart ordering blog introduction where people go to order readings or reports. That is so newbies can always find it.
Like I said – your write up is great. Love your blog, all the best.

I’m in a bunch of those groups at the moment. I think my first consultation was when Pluto was exactly opposite my sun and Saturn was conjunct Pluto (and thus squaring natal sun) Funz! Such a relief to have your counsel, Elsa.

I do love my work. I feel truly fortunate in that sense.

I absolutely adore my “job”. I’m an artist and teacher. I also get to travel to work on projects and be a director of an amazing team of talented people. I’m 29 but I feel like age doesn’t matter when you’re following your purpose. Elsa, you are definitely following your purpose and it’s incredibly healing!

Gee I enjoyed reading your post Elsa – it’s so fascinating. Wonderful idea using this post as a prep for newbies ordering a reading!

Yep I’m there with the commitment phobics too and working on it all! (as ya do)

Love my work?
Yes pretty much, I do.
Looking forward to more av gas though, but I understand that is right around the corner. . . . as Saturn moves into Scorpio soon.

This write up is perfect. Brilliance can only happen when you’re completely tuned in and from the sound if it, you’re there!
