Capricorn humor is often overlooked. For one thing they’re pretty discerning about when humor is appropriate. Sometimes their dry wit is dismissed as something else because it’s so keen and neat. Jim Carrey is a Capricorn. While his famous brand of humor is not subtle, he does possess an undercurrent of subtle intelligence and control as well as overblown corn and physical humor. Stalin was a Capricorn.* Nixon was a Capricorn. These are men not known for their wit, but look below the surface and you will find many accounts of their understated humor.

Uranus Square Pluto – Structural Change and Transformation
My eye on the sky.
Mercury is under fire and will continue to be stressed through the first week of May. With Uranus and Pluto aspecting the planet, I am seeing people assert themselves, issuing orders that change (Uranus) and transform (Pluto) the structure (Capricorn) the structure of their lives. In many cases, this is in response to a crisis and it’s a good and proper thing to do.

Open Question: Is It Better To Date People With Astrology Charts Similar To Yours?

Liz asks:
“Is it a good thing to date people who have similar charts to yourself? I’m a late Libra rising and I’ve dated another Libra rising and am communicating with a Scorpio rising. Or is it better to look to people who are opposite rising?”
Given a choice, I would go for the person with energy opposite mine but I have Libra so would be looking for balance.

Mars and Mercury are moving forward this weekend and in quincunx from Virgo to Aries, mutual reception! This means that Mars is in Mercury’s sign and Mercury is in Mars’ sign. While the quincunx isn’t the smoothest aspect of relation, this mutual reception smooths some corners. Go on and sing and dance. Chiron and Neptune oppose Mars from Pisces but that mutual reception is going to put a positive spin on any Urkel move you bust. Not all gaffes are a problem and sometimes they lead to great discoveries. Some of the best relationships start or are solidified by a funny story. If you’re a worry wart, take two immodium and put double stick tape on the bottoms of your shoes, but it looks unnecessary to me.

Mercury conjuncts Uranus on April 23rd, then squares Pluto on April 25th. It then opposes Saturn on May 5th and when you consider this as a series, it’s an safe bet that Mercury-ruled things like thoughts, communications, transportation, siblings and neighbors are going to take center stage. Mercury-ruled Gemini and Virgo will also be hopping.
The first leg of this, when Mercury is engaged with Uranus and Pluto, you can expect surprising and deeply affecting news to come your way. Mercury is in Aries, so accidents are more likely. Traffic accidents but also accidents of the mouth! The accidents may be devastating.

Libra, The 7th House And Partnering

I have 7th house planets and an ego (Sun) need to partner. With that Sun in Pisces, when I’m single I tend to pine for a relationship. That energy has to go somewhere. So I decided to try something new and use it up in a different Libran/7th house way. I’m being extra nice, extra polite. I’m doing my darndest to balance. I’m going out of my way to open doors, be helpful, notice and comment on what is beautiful around me and in other people. Being nice and being kind are not necessarily the same thing, but I find being nice, being polite, often prompts me to be kind as well. It’s a great bi-product.
