Saturn Opposes Mercury Under The Full Moon In Scorpio – May 5, 2012 – Avoiding Mayhem, Maximizing Potential

May 5th is a date to keep in mind. The Moon is full in Scorpio late in the evening around midnight in the US. Realize the Moon is full when it opposes the Sun so this is the first opposition we’ll be dealing with.
The same day, Mercury in Aries opposes Saturn in Libra, exact. There will be pressure to act with this aspect, particularly where partnership is concerned. Last, Mars in Virgo will be opposing Chiron and Neptune in Pisces. This aspect describes an injured animal, lashing out in confusion, to potentially cut the person trying to help.
Clearly there’s a lot to navigate here. What’s heartening is we also have a Grand Trine in Earth in play which should calm people enough to prevent mayhem.
To give you an idea how this might play, let’s say there is a bar fight in the evening, under the Full Moon. The people nearby are likely to be level-headed as opposed to seeing a riot be triggered and if the parties wind up in the emergency room, the staff with be calm and grounded. On the flip side, if the staff in the emergency room is losing it, the patients are liable to be patient, so you get the idea here. While this is bound to be an intense day, someone is going to have their feet on the ground, and that person or persons will grace (Jupiter) the others.
When I see such an energetic day on the horizon, I tend to think the period that precedes it is all set-up for the culmination or finale that occurs on that day. This has been a helpful way of seeing things for a number of year so it’s a proven technique.
In this case, think of May 5th as a day you act with compassion (Mars/Neptune) as you make a decision (Mercury/Saturn), with the lights turned up (Full Moon) and a grounded perspective (Jupiter/Grant trine). Between now and then, get ready to pull this off, test of your ability is coming.

I’d do it, mokihana. Energy is energy and a lot of energy is favorable when you want results. 
This looks like it’s going to be interesting. Moon falls in my 9th Conjunct my Neptune. It Conjuncts my friend’s Neptune Venus 2nd. She’s a Scorpio and May 4th will be her final court date for her divorce. We’re going out May 5th.
It looks to me that she’s going to finally get the child support she is owed, and this will put an end to the divorce proceedings. The income he has refused to pay will be rewarded to her, with back support. This will all go in her favor, and her ex will be royally pissed.
The Moon also Conjuncts his Neptune. Whereas I like the energy and it amps up my intuition, he’ll just be confused as to why the court didn’t see things his way. It’s obvious, but not to him.
This will be a big relief for my friend, but I guess we’ll have to be careful about where we decide to socialize. One of my favorite places to eat is where he also hangs out with his new girlfriend, so I guess we’d better not go there!

That day (May 5th) is my sister’s 53rd birthday. She’d had a horrendous year, with some things just getting resolved now. I hope this birthday is the beginning of better things to come.

Aww, there’s more: Saturn is transiting my natal Pluto, and Mars is transiting my natal Moon.
What do I do?? I am just so excited about that full moon fitting my chart like a glove, I can’t make any sense!
The Sun will be conjunct my Desc, naturally. And this has been a very difficult year relationship-wise, I couldn’t quite move on. Something’s gotta give.

I hated reading the last sentence in this post, Elsa. May 5 is KY Derby day and I hope we don’t have to witness another beautiful animal going down with a broken leg/ankle from being pushed to the max at a too young age. I’m not sure I’ll even watch the race this year….
Saturn is exactly t-squaring my ASC-DSC axis. I’ll be visiting with family in my hometown of Louisville KY on May 5 and Saturn will be on top of my sun in Libra. The sun rules 8th house in my chart. No wonder I’m feeling kind of morose about that day!
It will hit my Sun in Scorpio (10th-cusp of 11th), and the Jupiter will hit my natal Moon in Taurus (5th), Venus will touch my DC, and Juno will sit on my natal Venus…. so this with Mercury on my natal Jupiter in the 4th should be fun I think this is going to be about love.
you did not say what house the conjunction falls in. remember saturn is the last of the personal planets and pluto is generational. with saturn i always think of “the buck stops here.” saturn in libra makes one see both sides more clearly. pluto sees very clearly and has NO gray area ever. black or white are his colors! remember that about him. so you should be able to resolve conflicts you may have with family, friends partners or anyone you have difficulty dealing with and do it with the knowledge that your decisions are right. pluto eliminates the guilt that libra can feel.
