The Sun has just entered Pisces joining Mercury, Chiron and Neptune. Tuesday the Moon hits Pisces and conjuncts the Sun, the new moon (between 2 and 3 degrees). That’s a lot of Pisces energy in one place. Also, it’s the first new Pisces Moon with Neptune in Pisces in our lifetime. There will be many more but this is the first and it is conjunct Neptune itself. So if you’re looking for a day to set intentions for magical transformation, well, there’s no better moment.

I can’t think of a better poster “child” for this energy than Pisces actress Dakota Fanning who turns 18 this week and has the new Pisces Moon conjuncting her Sun.

Dakota has been a celebrated actress for years, accumulating many “firsts” and a good deal of controversy over the Plutonian nature of several of her film roles. I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, so I’ll just mention a few salient points.

Dakota seems to me a highly iconic example of a Pisces youth, coming of age story in the making. Her Saturn is very closely conjunct her Sun and both are aspected by her Moon (Leo) and Pluto (Scorpio). Transiting Pluto has recently finished its influence on her Sun and now she’s set for the rising from the ashes phase of this phoenix transit. What better way to start that off than with this singularly powerful new moon? I’d bet my bottom dollar on this chick soaring in her new, adult life.
