Juno is most commonly known as the marriage asteroid and in myth the feminine counterpart to Zeus (Jupiter). Taken at its simplest, however, it is the mark of commitment in general. While we are most familiar with the role commitment takes in relationships, commitment is also touted as the determining factor for success in most areas of life.
In assessing your own Juno placement it is important to note not only the sign but also its house position. Juno’s sign will color the type of energy one’s commitment embodies as well as what sort of things one will deem commitment worthy. Juno’s house position represents the area of focus where one is likely to commit. Nolan Ryan serves as a very famous example of a Sagittarian, 9th house Juno. Sports and therefore baseball are Sagittarian (9th house) pursuits. With his Juno conjunct Venus his investment in the game of baseball made him a household name long beyond his actual career.
The aspects Juno makes to other planets and to the angles will flavor that commitment as well as bringing the energy of commitment to the functions of those placements. For example, an individual with Juno conjunct Venus may value constancy. Juno conjunct Mars makes for the kind of person that really “brings it” when they commit to action, because they are “all in.”

8th house Juno in Pisces, and when I learned this and what it actually meant it was a huge revelation to me. I have never truly felt like the “detached Aquarian” in relationships; in fact, I’m not even sure what that actually means. Learning that really, REALLY serious – near-spiritual level – depth in relationship and commitment is my “ideal” made me feel like I was finally coming into myself, because I had always wondered, ‘Why do I care so much? I’m not supposed to care that much – it’s so un-Aquarian of me.”

4th house ,libra.My committment is to my family.My mom(libra) and my brother. In other parts of my life I’m very scared for commitments. I am very attached to them. We will never leave eachother behind…and their quality of life feels like my resposibility. Up and downs , I was also commited to my dad..and despite the abuse …I wish we could have told him we’ll wait for you..for you to heal. I hope and pray we can be a peacefilled family in a future life. Fuck just thinking about this makes me bawl;-/…

I have Juno Scorpio 3’00 in my 5th house. It’s conjunct my North Node in Scorpio,trine my Ascendant and sextile Venus 7th conj.Desc.
I guess I’m dedicated to life,love and the pursuit of happiness. It’s funny cause my Vertex,NN and Juno are all in my 5th house.
My husband’s Juno is in Capricorn in the 5th house and conjunct his Vertex which is also in Capricorn.
He loves his creative work ,he was a model maker/machinest for years,and he loves his children.
hilarious. It’s at 23 degrees Scorpio, and my current partner AND my ex both have their Moon at 24 degrees Scorpio.

Found it! Juno is in Pisces in the 11th house conjunct my Pisces Sun, trine Scorpio Neptune, Quincunx Leo Uranus. I am not really committed to anything much apart from friendships so somehow that all doesn’t surprise me

i’m not sure what this explains b/c i absolutely suck at relationships. it seems the only thing i can commit to is work. i have always been more committed to and worked harder at work or job hunting than anything else. maybe it has something to do w/a very strong natal 10th house placement in libra & mars in capricorn in the 1st.

Juno in my 4th house in Cancer… Committed to to my family and home? It’s also almost exactly conjunct my IC (within 2 minutes)… I have no idea what that means.
oh grandonna, I don’t think placements doom us to anything. 11th house Taurus would be comfortable groups. perhaps it’s your moon that doesn’t like that, if it’s square. you could be committed to 11th house things, groups, hopes, wishes, without living with them (moon).

Virgo in the 8th. Committed to sex in a practical way? Committed to serving through sex? Hmm. I’m sure that could be spun other ways.
20 degrees Aquarius in the 5th house opposing Uranus in the 11th. Commited to freedom of creative expression…I can see that.
Not sure about the opposition by Uranus in leo itself. Hmmm….my commitment to freedom is opposed by freedom itself? This could probably be either a zen moment or an existential nightmare!! This could play into my feeling that too much of a good thing becomes less so quickly…I’m wary of movements I believe in because once they gather steam can be blinded by their own light. 3rd/sag, on nadir, opposing jupiter in the ninth/gemini/midheaven. only thing actually aspecting my jupiter. (juno’s opposing her husband in his own sign, at the nadir/homefront… ;P)

but, uhm, the 9th/3rd house axis is definitely quite important to me.
When I introduced myself to Juno the first time, I found it very revealing. All my life I had been wondering why nearly all my relationships are either full-on secret affairs, or public secrets.

In my chart, Juno is 1st House/Cap. Very appropriate for current revelations: my ultimate goal is to be 100% self reliant and avoid depending on others at all cost, yet to be there, reliable and dependable to those that matter – all of this visible so that there is no misunderstanding… At least that’s what I think it means?
Very well aspected (Trine with Mercury and N. Node, Semi-sextile with Rising Sag) except for a square to the MC… So I read this as career/public achievements require that I do rely on others and this absolutely irks and frustrates my “Never Rely on Anyone Else” mantra?
Plus, Cap: very stubbornly commitment oriented + Juno: Commitments… oh my!
I have just looked at this as Placidus, where people in the past have interpreted, and equal house, which Elsa uses. Everything changes.
Placidus: Juno in Aries in 9 sextile moon in Gemini in 11;
Juno in Aries in 9 opp Neptune in Libra in 3
Equal: Juno in Aries in 8 sextile moon in Gemini in 10;
Juno in Aries in 8 opp Neptune in Libra in 2
For Placidus: commitment to learning, though unfocused, sometimes coming through quirky individuals?
For Equal: I’m drawing a blank, though work is important to me emotionally. 10/8 work as a resource? The 2/8 axis would maybe say something about resources: I’m fuzzy, not focused enough about them. That might fit.

i’ve never had a look at Juno before.
she’s in my 4th, in vir, conjunct pluto: my “home” has changed again & again during last years. monks called me “mister clean” in temple later, i’ve re-worked a big piece of land (though i considered that to be saturn-in-4th). & yes, i try to take care of “home of loved ones” (though i considered that to be cancer rising).
in any case, pluto helps a lot to purify & to transform “home” situations

7th/Scorpio (8 deg away from Uranus conj DSC), and it’s retrograde…. I read somewhere that the retrograde of this means the probability of marriage is not good….and although I’m not really sure marriage is for me, I can definitely commit myself to another person or anything else for that matter….so, I’m a little hesitant to believe that interpretation.
From everything I’v read about retrogrades, I’ve come to believe that they have less to do with being the “negative” or opposite manifestation of the planet/asteroid and more about the INTERNAL-ness of the energy, or directing the energy inward.
So I guess for my Juno placement, maybe it means that in order for me to have or be happy in my relationships, I need to make sure I make commitments to being myself, not changing into what the other might want me to be? or what I think may please them? Make sure I’m true to my core self?
that sounds good to me, Sam. I’d be sure you honor your own need for space as well, as your own need, not as a projection through the other. not saying you do, just saying the placement is prone.
My Juno is in Libra, 2nd house, conjunct my Pluto and very loosely Sun too, squering my Moon. This is pretty obvious to me, I tend to take the traditional “women behind a great man” role. I seem to attract talented men with powerful characters, and am prone to living my Sun/Pluto through them. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always guarantee an emotional satisfaction to me, and this is something I’m currentlt working on to overcome.

I’ve consulted two charts, Both say different things, Its either a Juno in Pisces or Aquarius Retrograde. Does this mean I’ll never marry ?

I don’t think placements say “never” about anything. to my mind, free will, a goal, and persistence can find a way around most obstacles.
Juno 4th house Aquarius with all “good” aspects. Currently trying to arrange things to get me being a housewife. Last week, I had a few days off from work while hubby didn’t and I never felt so much at peace.
Juno in Cancer in the 11th. Unaspected, not even a conjunction to Mars 
My Juno is conjunct Mars, in Virgo (h. 1). I’m the one who ‘brings it’, and I’ve yet to find a partner [or potential partner] who matches my intensity. Even my kids see my determination – and I thought that they were so self-absorbed as to be blind to it !
I have Juno conjunct Mars and Sun in Scorpio. Mars and Juno are in the 4th and the Sun is in the 5th (Placidus houses). All three are square Uranus, my 7th house ruler. I hate to do anything halfway.
An old boyfriend’s Venus was exactly conjunct my Juno… we had plenty of contacts between our charts otherwise as well, and that relationship was very exciting and passionate. His own Juno was in Virgo, conjunct both of our Plutos.

Juno in the 12th in Libra conjunct ASC. Trine chiron in 4th, inconjunct mars in the 7th. This has played out in a couple of ways so far…in marriage I have been the supportive wife behind the scene and in an earlier marriage ignoring my feelings for someone else. Also have been in a relationship hidden from the public.

@surd, I think the placement in the 9th means you need a partner who is philosophical, with whom you can ‘expand’ your mind or go traveling! That sounds pretty rad to me, no?

I will pull out all the stops to get a partner; but I have trouble holding on to one because of battling egos.
I always had a thing for super smart guys (Juno trine Mercury). That always topped my list of what I wanted in a partner.
Funny how Juno mirrors the issues presented by the rest of my chart.
As far as I can get with this one with Juno in the second, cap, is that I am really good with other people’s money. Maybe cuz of my values, too? It made me good at my last occupation and also very frustrated at some of the powers in command. Oh well, water under the bridge. Am trying to do better with my own finances for myself now. Like do I have a choice on that one.
And in my special relationships, I tended to over invest. That must be the sag part of the 2nd house. And of course, Juno trines my sun conjunct jupiter. Overly invested is really the phrase that’s been slamming me in the head lately. What was I thinking? There’s one to grow up about.
oh dear, oh dear, looked at some of natal exoplanet aspects to Juno. Oh dear, at first I laughed at myself, and then realized it was probably really sad. But some truth there. It seems to fall in line with my relationship behavior. What was I thinking? Or maybe I wasn’t thinking seeing as juno and mercury are also square.
After looking at the sextiles, the squares are my only sanity. I almost got depressed about it, but decided not to dwell on it and fall into another dark hole because it’s the past, and I’ve learned from the time I spent in the trenches.
It was a pre-existing condition? How unfair is that?
2nd house Aquarius. I haven’t had many relationships though, so I can’t see a pattern, but with the 2nd house, I guess it means I am attracted to guys who are financially comfortable. Never been attracted to the struggling artist/musician types in that way.
