Transit Watch: Saturn Retrograde – February 7, 2012 – Nothing To Fear, Nothing To Loathe

Saturn turn retrograde @ 29 Libra on February 7th, retracing it’s steps back to 22 degrees before it turn direct on June 25th. Saturn-ruled Capricorns and Aquarius will be most affected but they’ll also be the most supported provided they abide social (Libra) rules (Saturn). I am talking about things like reciprocity and doing right by others.

People fear and often loathe retrograde periods but I don’t know why. Everyone knows that progress does not occur in a straight line. It is entirely appropriate to review something before moving ahead and these periods should be used to their maximum potential.

In this case, we’re talking Saturn in Libra so hey! Do you owe someone an apology for something that happened some months ago? Now is your chance to make it right. Do you have issues to work out before you come to a final agreement with a partner, either business or romantic? This is the time to do that.

Does this sound awful? I didn’t think so!

Do you have loose ends to tie up, that involve other people?
Is there someone you want to know (social contact) or partner with but you’ve been afraid to reach out?
Could you stand to shore up your partnerships with the other, fully commit?
Do you need to finalize a divorce or other separation
Do you owe anyone money or some other form of support?
Are you still projecting all over people all the time or otherwise a flake in relationship?

We are provided this period so that we can take care of these things. To fare well, respond to the pressure you feel, face your fear and do what you must because you know it is right.

For the most part, I’m the person on the other end of that list up there, so hopefully the balance will happen for me. It’s going to hit my N.Node again when it turns direct at 22 so that may prove to be interesting, it also happen to be right around the time my baby is due, so maybe the father WILL step up….
Either way, I’ve done all that I can do so I guess I’ll just keep aware of how I handle my reactive-ness and try to keep patient and calm.

Trans Saturn (my 9th) will exactly Trine my ASC and Venus Aquarius 12th when it goes direct again at 22 degs. It’ll also Trine my Saturn 12th.

I don’t owe anyone anything, I have no relationship to finalize, so hopefully this will bring me circumstances I like, with a foreign or travel flair maybe. Maybe a beneficial work relationship will appear?

Daisy…what is the rest of your story? Did they oblige….just curious. Its a bold ultimatum.

Saturn Rx for me is 6th house…a time to fix up loose ends in my work.
I am also owned some $$…be nice to have it paid back…in installments is fine too.

Saturn is therefor taken its time (!) to enter my 7th house…and maybe just as well. It hovers over my descendant for ages, the clearly into 7th by end of this year: ‘understanding the reality of others needs’

Interesting!
My birthday is on February 15 and it’ll be my Saturn Return year. In my natal chart, Saturn is also retrograde but in early Scorpio degrees and conjunct Pluto. Actually my Solar Return chart this year is very similar to my natal chart…. I’m no stranger to retrograde Saturn!

I hear ya! Saturn in Scorpio 2012 will be my 2nd SR and my sons 1st. I do so need to get a reading and don’t know why I keep putting it off.

Thanks so much for the clarity and the practical ways to make the most of Saturn’s retrograde. I appreciate the retrogrades, especially the long runs like Saturn’s. Amending and clearing things up in relationships is a great gift. There’s always room for bettering. Hello! If saturn rules my 7th house (house of partnerships), should the 7th house issues take on even more importance when its ruler goes retrograde?

Though I imagine this to be a time to re-visit Saturn issues, it might NOT be a time to start new 7th house ventures, is that right?

What do you guys think about Saturn going RX and direct right on top of a square aspect? When it was first at 22 Libra in Nov something really abominable happened (and yeah, I used a silly word to kinda take the edge off) so I’m wondering … will June be a reversal or a replay?

Caveat: Back in Nov, it was helped along by Uranus trampling all over my Chiron and North Node, so maybe this won’t be quite so bad.

Saturn has been wrecking havoc on me for a bit now. The squares especially.
It is squaring my sun right now. Last year it conjunct my Mars and squared my asc in Capricorn. Out of morbid curiosity, I am actually looking forward to seeing what this RX is going to throw at me…

Tough times, but I am learning a lot, about life, myself and people. It is teaching me to be true to myself, and to appreciate what is really important, like family, children.
To not sweat the small stuff and to eradicate the toxic life throws at you

It is wrecking havoc, but I am growing in wisdom. Good ol’ Saturn, the best teacher ever….

i need to get an explanation of what is going on between myself and a certain someone. by june it will be a year… and if saturn gives me anything it’s a need for laws and rules laid out in plain view..

this Rx will also pass back over my MC, and then lilith before just barely touching my pluto as it stations and turns direct again. i’m actually very happy for the chance to re-evaluate my work life before continuing the long haul forward… and getting a second change to review my inner strengths and wiles is a good way to accomplish all of these goals.
