Yesterday was or would have been my mother’s birthday. Annalisa and VA settled on my mother’s final resting place, she will be on the grounds of San Xavier Mission which she loved. The mission was built in the 1600′s and is also called, “The White Dove of the Desert”.
Everyone in my family is connected to this mission. We spent many hours there when we were growing up, playing outside while my mother painted the mission or and/or the surrounding area.
My mother’s ashes will also be kept outside (double Aquarius, airy) in a covered shrine (as pictured). I can’t tell you how ideal this is and how grateful I am that Annalisa and VA were able to pull this off. As an 8th house person, it’s very important to me how a person’s affairs are handled after their death. To be laid here for eternity would be beyond my mother’s wildest and happiest dream.
Henry was also left exactly where he said wanted to be and I am deeply proud of this as well.

An additional thought…if this is the Arizona mission, it’s truly awe inspiring. Visited there many years ago and was so moved by the artistry which had an underlying folk sensibility – fitting for a place of worship. And now I know of a woman contributor to that space.

WOW! That is such a beautiful place & your Mother is outside? How Perfect!!! I imagine it would not have been at all easy to accomplish this, but any trial is obviously worth it.
