New Year’s Eve Love Forecast

December 31st, 2011 @ 1:11 pm by Satori

“What? WHAT?? Yeaaaaaah!”
–Dave Chappelle as Lil’ Jon

birthdayfodonOn the last day of the year the Moon moves from the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, into the first, Aries. What a perfect metaphor: Out with the old- in with the new. The day starts in an atmosphere of universal connectedness and moves to a mood of fiery action. The mood picks up fire and speed applying into an aspect of ease with Mercury in Sagittarius and an opportunity for the aesthetic charge of humanitarian pleasantry from Venus in Aquarius. In the immortal words of the song used in the animated movie “Madagascar”: I like to move it, move it.

The Sun Pluto conjunction in Capricorn provides some challenge but also some depth and grounding. On some level it’s a reminder of mortality and a reason to reign yourself in. It doesn’t have to be a bummer. It can be as simple as the reality check of seeing a wreck on the road and realizing you should probably slow down yourself. And that brings us to the exact square of the Aries Moon ruler, Mars, to Sagittarius Mercury. Things are likely to be quick, move quickly, with the conversation lively and intelligent. Everything picks up speed under Mars Mercury. Just make sure your speed does not exceed your abilities, in all things. Check yourself!

The Moon in hard aspect to Sun Pluto can also be a wealth of sexual volcano energy, building and building. Use it on the field!

Jupiter is direct on New Year’s Eve and opposes Saturn. This bodes well for partying. Jupiter direct after all this time of inward reflection is likely to burst out partying! Jupiter conjunct Black Moon Lilith is wild women partying! Saturn opposing is sobering in a good way. “Hey, hey, now, let’s keep this show ON the road and out of the weeds!” Neptune in the mix, sextile Jupiter and trine Saturn, smoothes out the rough spots in the opposition. You can be responsible and still have a lovely time. Dream up the good and dream down the bad. Just don’t Neptune out and dream out the good while dreaming up the bad. Don’t overdo (Jupiter) the drinking (Neptune); there will be consequences (Saturn). Be responsible and the consequences could be fortunate (Jupiter) or dreamy (Neptune).

What are your New Year’s Eve plans?

You are so smart and funny. No plans just yet, but there are still two weeks left in this haggard year, and things can turn on a dime in this astrological climate. No matter what, I’m going to give the new year a big, fat, wet kiss!

You actually just made me really excited about the night. I’m fortunate that a band I’ve really been enjoying is playing 1.5 miles from my home. I can go home during set breaks if I want! Just happy to know that Jupiter is finally going direct! Trining my sun/pluto conjunction while it does!

I’ve got invites coming in but there’s nothing I’m excited about… yet?

Keeping my options open & if nothing buzz worthy turns up, I’m staying home & going to bed early.

Past couple of Years I’ve pushed myself to go out & had a crap time. There’s nowhere lonlier than in a room full of people.

Not doing that again!!

Well, I think my plans fit perfectly with this forecast! We’ve booked a room at a Casino which happens to be in my sister’s neck of the woods, so she’s joining us along with 3 other friends. We’ll be partying while being responsible and spending the night (no driving)! And if Jupiter could shoot us some luck… maybe we’ll even win some money! ;-)

My timezone, we’re almost there by now! Just one hour to go. We’re at home, just had a Tuscan style dinner with amazing Chianti Classico from 2003. We will have coffee, with a good cigar for my Husband, and watch another French documentary on “Dream Rivieras”, places jet set vacationed in the 1960′s. We will go out to balcony to see the fireworks and toast at the midnight.

Satori, Husband (a Taurus Venus on MC) is an aficionado. This is every Saturday, really, since we got an air purifier. There are some great cigar shops on the other side of the bay, where you can get top class cigar half the going price in rest of Europe.

I got invited to a party, I know my neptune, yikes I almost said no. And then a g’friend said I want to go, but have to leave at 10. I told her perfect and asked her to pick me up, now she doesn’t have to feel bad for staying for such a short time, and I have my SAturn figure as my DD.

What are you doing tonight SAtori?

Well the “out with the old in with the new” thing definately applies here. Today I got some closure on something I was wondering about. A man I thought might have been interested in – well, I found out he has a new gf that is ALOT younger than him (figures typical man in 40s thing). He is one of those guys who says looks don’t matter and it all about personality and than you see him with supermodel type. Blah. The thing is I had the Neptune opposition my Venus for a bit now (even though it is technically finally moving away but that Neptune is SLOOOOWWW) and was oddly attracted to this person even though I know personality wise we are opposite and my “too Scorpionic” personality would have been too much for him I am sure. :P – But it still bothers me and made me a bit said – probably because it is also New Years – but hey, maybe that is a last lesson of the year for me with my Neptune/Venus! Probably better off because do I want a guy my age who dates that young – to me that is insecure and shallow. My Scorp is too deep for that. Ok, I rambled – but that out with the old thing – very true for me today – universe sent me another message – I guess THAT pine is O-V-E-R.

Back to New Years – I always hated the pressure New Years put on people (esp. Us singles ones) – so I spit in its face for the most part. Movies are the best thing to feed my Neptune on this volume based night – I can’t stand all the noise and crowds – it overwhelms me. I am all for making new starts etc but I being a Scorpionic type I defiantely do not need New Years for that – I am continually making “new starts” and transforming whether I want to or not. So New Years resolution – bah! don’t need em! :)

We should start a new thread “New Years for Scorpios – an oxymoron?” lol! :)
