I had a client a few weeks ago, she was telling me how she could read people. She’s worked at a job where she encounters slews of people and she’s honed her ability over many years. I was enthralled. I suppose I read people but nothing at all like what this woman has achieved.
Do you read people? In what way? This woman uses her intellect, I’d say. She glances at you, takes in the info and the computer inside her spits out the answer.
What do you know about this? What’s the astrology?

I think everyone reads people to a certain extent, but not in the same way. I pick up on people’s emotions really quickly and generally know what they need to come down / lift up, but I’m notoriously bad at knowing someone’s motives because I prefer to take people at face value.
I think my moon shizz is what gives me a handle on other’s emotions, but I can’t say for sure.

I am the same way, and I was told it was because I have only 1 water sign in my chart, and that is Jupiter is at 28 Scorpio in the 11th house,sitting right next to my 0 Neptune in Sag, 11th house, and that I have my Sun, Mercury, and Venus all in the 8th house.

I´m affraid that happens to me, too. I´ve tried to resist and try not to turn that “feeling” into a prejudice, but again, I´m afraid all those gut feelings have proven to be true, in time.
I assume it has to be with my Moon conj Asc, at 29º Gemini. And Moon trine Pluto in Libra and Jupiter in Scorpio.
People rarely surprise me, so I guess I got it. And I think I do it the way the lady Elsa mentioned does. I pick up certain signs and analyze them. Sometimes, it’s almost immediate, but in other occasions, I need to interact with the person more to get the whole picture. Not all people are open, the same way. And, I must say, I’m particularly good at picking up people’s motives.
I suspect Mercury, Moon and/or Pluto aspects. I have Virgo Mercury trining Capricorn Moon. Pluto in contact to Sun and Moon. My Husband is very much like me (just watch us in social situations, observing people and exchanging knowing glances), and he too has Mercury/Moon (with Jupiter) and Moon/Pluto contact.

Strong feelings on occasion, mostly just subconsciously processing what i hear & see. usually not too far off about people. Lots of pisces & water moon maybe.
I’d say something involving Uranus. Flash of insight. Maybe Neptune too, but you never can tell with neptune. I’m so good at reading people, lol, I give them the benefit of the doubt, when I *know* not to head in that direction. Never fails me. Well, *I* fail me. I *know*, I just don’t trust it. There would have to be something in there where you could trust your intuition.
Too well sometimes. 
It’s getting easier to handle. Even if they were so completely charming to begin with…I back off. Vibes and emotions.
Yep! Neptune in the 1st conjunct to Scorpio Rising and Neptune conjunct to Moon. I can almost tell by the vibes I get what a person is gonna be like before they even tell me about themselves.I can if something is off about them too just from their energy. I got a built-in BS meter too.
I have been proven time and again to be *not* very good at reading people, sometimes bordering on oblivious.
Not sure what aspects are important – Venus square Neptune (11th house) and Pisces on the cusp of 3rd house. Don’t those both relate to friends/acquaintances.
I’ve been told that I read others well and I seem to “know” things quickly without knowing how. It’s typically more of a feeling than a thought which probably is due to all the water in my chart.
I’ve been told my moon conjunct pluto, and my scorp planets in the 8th help me with all of this. Sometimes it’s all a bit much and I have to retreat to a quiet place…
I’m usually more surprised when someone doesn’t have the ability to read people.
Astrologically, I’d say neptune is deeply involved, as well as pluto. Both of those have a tendency to allow that which is hard to pin down to come to light.
I think it’s basically the same skill set as reading a chart. You just sorta go with the “pull” in your gut concerning what it means.
I have to work to NOT read people because in my experience it can cause my own energy to disperse and I don’t like that.
I like being surprised (Uranus in 11th in aspect to Moon/Sun/Mercury…etc). Also I’m aware that they’re energy may be apparent but the root of that energy often is not. They could be sick, pre-illness, grieving, worrying about money, in the throes of an intense love affair.
Also, definitely not a gut thing for me. I’d describe it as cellular and pervasive, not originating from one corner of my body.

One thing I have had a problem with is NOT doing that in a relationship. I have given the men I date way too many chances at redemption.
Uranus Pluto Virgo 7th – I want to believe them and give them the benefit of the doubt, but they have always disappointed me thus far.
My Moon is in Pisces 1st opposing this Uranus Pluto. My Mercury is also in Pisces, but in the 2nd and not conjunct my Moon, but conjunct Jupiter. I naturally know things from Spirit, but that damn Aquarius ASC gets in my way.
This time around, when it happens, I hope to listen to my intuition.
