Blissful Feelings – Rhino and Bird

December 8th, 2011 @ 5:45 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

While we have a lot in common and know we belong together, my husband and I are profoundly different in certain ways.   I’ve got a strong enough Neptune signature, I often feel blissful.   I feel bliss each day for sure. It’s just not that hard for me to feel spectacularly happy.

My husband questions this and says he never feels bliss. It took me aback at first but you see he is a Rhino and look at the Rhino. Does he look like he wants to feel bliss? He does not.

My husband has no interest whatsoever in chasing or experiencing bliss.  He says “regular” is fine with him.

Do you experience feelings of bliss?

this is really interesting stuff. it crosses my mind sometimes but mostly in the way of ‘i wonder how different life is for him or her’. and i never know! except maybe a glimpse of it for my husband.

i have moon conjunct neptune in sag, favorably aspecting some other planets and i can totally bliss out with good music alone, although freedom helps, even if it’s just freedom to go for a short run or go to target when i want (lol).

You can look at that Rhino and see he’s got no interest whatsoever in bliss! :)
“What the hell are you talking about, bird?”

But really, I asked my husband what the rhino was thinking about the birds they interact with.

“Get out of the way, ya moron.”
:)

He says he might like birds flying around by why do they have to land on him? Also, it emerged that he had no interest whatsoever in leaving his mud-hole (marriage). He has to be kicked out or made so incredibly uncomfortable that he has to leave. Otherwise, he’d just as soon stay in the same place for a millennium or more.

Super Taurus, I suppose but also his Moon profile most definitely does not spell “bliss”.

This is one quality of Neptune that I am grateful for. Yes, I have access to bliss. You would think an Ox would not especially with his Taurus placements. But, he does have a first house Neptune and a venus in 12. He enjoys bliss. But, is also pretty fearful of getting used to it :)

no and I wish I did- I can’t remember the last time I truly was happy- my life seems to be a hamster on a wheel with no enjoyment. Work, kids, work… I have no one to hang with and nothing to do- I am about to burst about it too- I would love to just leave and go “live” my life!

I have sag conjunct neptune, venus, mercury and uranus. I can totally bliss out knowing I’m going somewhere new or foreign OR dating someone new and foreign ;)

No bliss here. Moments of happy here and there, but I have had very little bliss and during the brief period of time I did, it didn’t last long. But I don’t think I was intended to be happy by nature anyway. Like Rhino, I feel like I HAVE to put up with shit.

I really love this post because it illustrates the point that we are who we are, that there is an underlying essence that can’t and shouldn’t be changed, but accepted and built upon.

My dad was a Taurus. He had a simple life but it was comfortable, not ascetic. And very consistent. He worked his butt off so that in late adulthood he could make his own schedule which entailed a leisurely breakfast and lunch, a walk on the beach, and the occasional massage. But he wasn’t blissful. “Regular” was what made him happy. Anything beyond that just seemed to not register :)

I am an extreme person (Scorpio) so I either enjoy the bliss full-heartedly or I abstain due to some higher purpose. I’ve been realizing lately that I need to go back to being blissful, welcoming euphoria into my life, because the constant dreariness just doesn’t do me or anyone around me any good.

Blissful moments help me cope with reality. I lack that stable earth energy and have an overflow of Pisces and Sadge so I need to ground myself in order to enjoy bliss.
I haven’t traveled in 6 years and I’m becoming restless so a trip will definitely feel good :-)

My 12th house sun (inconjunct neptune by 1degree) has no troubles being very happy most days :) :) :) While I’d not associate that to what brings me bliss (I think jupiter conjunct my moon & opposite my sun), I do think it’s helpful. When I feel low/having a hard time, if I(sun) can have a little alone time (12th house) at home (sun in cancer) I can usually pull myself up find my bliss again. It’s just part of who I am,

Sometimes. Not lately unfortunately.

This post makes me think of my guy…we are very different. I told him the other day “Poor you, with your overly optimistic girlfriend.” LOL. His Scorpio Moon/Neptune trine Cancer Mars leans towards pessimism. I don’t mind. We balance one another out.

It happens in skips and jumps. Sag rising…but I have Pluto/MC (and I hear that Pluto is only happy half the time–I’ve actually laughed and then cried within a span of five minutes!!!).

My imagination, or distractions seem to generate a good bit of the bliss. (Neptune in 12th?)

I have Jupiter/Neptune so yea, I can be blissfully imaginative and overthetop about it. Not always the greatest signature to have lol

I have Neptune in Scorpio in the 4th. Venus Square Neptune, Jupiter Square Neptune.

Bliss to me is:
A well cooked meal that I made.
Being able to sleep in on the weekend.
Not HAVING to do ANYTHING.
Having extra money for fun things.
My favorite music blasting!

Bliss is feeling the feeling of having those things, even when I don’t have it right now. Just thinking of those things, can bring on momentary bliss.

But, am I happy all the time? Heck no.

maybe that’s a tarusey thing. i gots the aquarisu epxlosive kablooeys but my blisses are blissey…

whereas my near taurus moon … well, he can get morose (think it’s the water sun). but mostly he’s just impervious. it’s surreal, to me.

I have very few times felt bliss…. Rare are those moments and they don’t seem to last very long. Not that I feel grumpy all the time, but just never feel *happy* for no reason or just in a great mood. I have moon opposite saturn so… feeling happiness is a challenge. I have to remind myself to cheer up and look up on the bright side because my mind naturally goes to the negative. I’m more like your husband Elsa, just feeling regular is good enough. The happiest I ever felt was meeting the love of my life. I think that’s been my greatest experience of bliss so far…

I’m amazed at everyone who can feel bliss daily… how lucky you all are! :)
