Full Moon Eclipse In Gemini

This Saturday, December 10th the Moon in Gemini moves into opposition with the Sun in Sagittarius at 18 degrees, a full moon. The transiting north node at 14 degrees conjunct the Sun makes this an eclipse (conjunction to either the Sun or Moon during a full or new moon). Lunar eclipses are sometimes said to herald endings, but I like the term “culmination” much better for this. With the Moon involved, feelings are highlighted. Often events happen or information comes to light that brings issues to a point where they can or need to be resolved. That’s not good or bad, it just “is.”
Eclipses carry a more powerful energy than the average full moon. This one has a particularly interesting energy signature as the Moon is the focus of a yod with Venus and Juno. Venus carries the energy of love, resources and aesthetics, while Juno reflects marriage or general commitment. Both are associated with partnering, and the moon represents the emotional body and emotional needs.
The yod is like a bow. It takes strong but somewhat difficult energy (2 quincunxes) and focuses it for opportune use (sextile). The focus is on the Moon in this case. Now you add in the Sun and what do you have? An arrow in the bow. Sagittarius is the archer! How apropos! With the Sun as ego opposing the Moon as emotion loaded onto a bow of love and commitment during what is a highly emotional time of year for many, well, that sounds like big possibilities!
Mars in Virgo aspects Venus and Juno well. I would take this as a good time to take action in a measured and organized fashion. Don’t go all willy-nilly! Saturn widely squares Venus adding support or frustration. Frustration because things go slow or steady support for the bow arm? Either, or perhaps both. Retrograde Mercury squares Chiron. This may be a time for re-addressing old wounds, talking about them or even just rethinking them. You might get some new information about an old wound or a new perspective. In square it’s not likely to come up smoothly, but if it comes up, it’s a good idea to make the most of it, whatever that means to you. It’s good to keep in mind that these areas might come up so that you’re not blindsided if they do.

Hmm, well the eclipse will be fully activating my Sag/Neptune ascendant and Gemini Descendant as well as my beau’s Juno. I may just try to stay out of the line of fire. I know, sue me for wanting the status quo.
I have a Gemini moon in the 10th house, with Saturn in Sag natally. I don’t know what to expect, I don’t know enough about astrology to even guess. I’m hoping it’s good, but I’m a bit fearful too. Fingers crossed…
This falls exactly on my Sun at 18 Gemini.
No idea what to expect, to be honest.
Just took a closer look at the chart. This isn’t an eclipse, it’s a full on assault. I’m excited in that way one gets when they volunteer to pick up garbage along the freeway. You’re all “Yay, I’m doing something good!” but then there’s a lot of swearing involved in the process.
That yod is a doozy. Juno on 11th Uranus, Venus squaring natal Pluto/MC. Uranus is squaring natal 7th Gem Venus and Merc is opposite natal Mars in the 6th. Looks like a recipe for a breakup 
On the flip-side, Saturn and Neptune are forming a grand trine with natal Venus. I guess I better be open, compassionate and responsible.

I have sun moon midpoint at 16 Sag… does that count? Haha. In any case, the 24 Nov eclipse was right on my Sun so maybe I’ll see something in relation to that. Haven’t noticed any big changes there.

The Full Moon will fall within a degree opposite my Saturn and exactly square my Sun. Should be interesting! I am hoping for change in career, so maybe hitting that Saturn is good. The ruler, Jupiter, is making great aspects for me and will head back over my MC early next year.
The lunar eclipse will widely oppose my Saggie sun/merc/juno/sn (at 26d) and conj my Gemini moon (11d) and NN.
It also falls on the Aussies Gemini Sun (19d).

This will be in my Gemini 8th. The yod (and the arrow) are coming from my 1st, 2nd and 3rd houses, and indeed lots of old stuff coming up for an airing. Tr. Chiron squaring my n. Moon and opposing n. Pluto.
More death and decay too: We lost two young men from our community (both alcohol/drug related); also a very wonderful and loving elder I’ve known all my life, her funeral was this morning; also an aunt who’s been married into my family since before I was born, her funeral is Thursday; and now my uncle (my mom’s youngest brother) was just diagnosed with colon cancer – they found it during surgery to remove his gall bladder.
And my older sister is still being treated for her cancer, tho the radiation and chemo have gotten rid of it from her brain – she’s still dealing with it in her left lung. Oh! Just found out my younger brother is scheduled for surgery on his shoulder on the 15th – rotater cuff. And I can’t believe I almost forgot this: my son called this evening and told me his uncle (my ex’s oldest brother) committed suicide in a hotel. Oh my god.
Man! I’m not going to answer the phone or the door until this eclipse is over. I don’t want to hear any more bad news.
The full/eclipse Moon will be in my 11th house, conjunct my venus, trining my natal uranus and sextile natal chiron. Tr. venus will be on my part of fortune and Tr. Chiron is conjunct my BML. I’m not sure about what that last part will mean?

5 and 11 for me. The moon is in my 5th. Not much is happening right now but I expect big changes in that area in the coming months. Maybe an early surprise on Saturday??

How do I figure out where the lunar eclipse touches or will affect in my chart? I am a Gemini with a Sagitarrius moon. Sag in the 6th, Gemini in the 12th. Does that mean it’s those areas it will light up or illuminate?
do you have your chart? find 18 Gemini (for the Moon) and 18 Sadge (for the Sun) in your chart and see if that those points make any major aspects to your natal planets. also, take note of what house the Moon at 18 falls in. it depends on where the house cusp is. this would be a great question to take to the boards.
@tru blue… if you go into Astro & calculate your chart (if you haven’t already!), in “extended chart selection”, you can set the date ahead, to the 13th, or to where you see the Moon is falling at 18 degrees Sagg in your Chart. Be sure to click the “with transits” option too. Then you can see where everything falls for you personally & calculate it yourself! (Read about aspects & degrees- like how many degrees forms a trine or square etc etc)
Well… that’s how I go about it anyway

Thank you for replying Satori. I don’t really know how to read a chart yet. I will try to figure out what you are saying by looking at my chart. I really want to know how. I recently had a lunar return report from the site. Would I find the information I am looking for on the report? (hope my question doesn’t make me sound too ignorant)
I really do think it would be a good idea to ask this question on the boards. that way you could put up your chart, or ask for help in posting it if you’re not sure how, and it’s much easier for people to help! It’s also a great way to get started learning on how to do it yourself! I always hope people don’t think it’s brush off to send questions to the board. it’s really trying to be helpful. the boards are such a great way to explore a question in a way you can’t in comments here.
the info you’re looking for wouldn’t be on the lunar return report… but again (trying not to beat a dead horse ) it’s a great subject to bring up on the boards… to talk about lunar returns, talk about specific things brought up in yours.
don’t worry about sounding ignorant! we all started from the ground up, learning! and there are lots of people at many different levels learning from each other!

Hmm it falls on my natal Mars (Gemini), around the time the June 10 2010 one happened, I was asked to join a local MA class … curious to see how things are supposed to be culminating now, as in the last 2 months I’ve had serious doubts that it makes any f… difference at all how much work I’ve put in that and into myself (that effin anti-self-esteem demon – or hello to you Gemini South Node) when I could just go, wiggle my tail, smile, touch an arm whilst talking and be off better (argh, it’s highschool all over again).
Am I jealous? Yes, I admit it, I am. A part of me wishes I could be comfortably Libraing around “to get ahead” (I say Libra, because my main study point is so extreme Libra, all the personal planets fall there, cept Jupiter AND my SR Asc is Libra but with Saturn rising). But I just have the hardest time getting over/past myself. I am not the type to overly show off the assests. I am not the type to flirt around casually. Or do my stretching exercises suggestively. But all I am ever shown since teenage time is that that’s the way to get ahead. Working off your behind is for desperate dummies.
Can you see that this is falling on my 2nd/8th house axis?

Back on topic, the whole thing also squares my poor Virgo Moon, so I suppose that’s what’s happening … aggressive mental crushing of my tender analytical feelings that had the hope to move towards some higher goals

Anyway, I am sooooo badly feeling this eclipse since a couple of days already. And the frustration of Saturn squaring Venus (buggers are opposite in my natal and tSaturn is also squaring nVenus)
All of that stuff you write about in that post so applies to me, I am this eclipses poster child.
And I hate it. Because I know that half of my problems are selfmade but change is so snailpace that I am having panic attacks about running out of time. Which probably isn’t true, considering I have decades of practice ahead of me before getting close to destination. If only my stupid Mars would stop running my mouth.

This will be exactly on the cusp on my 2nd/8th (Sun/Moon).
Can you say wired? Mars on natal Pluto square Merc/Nep in Scorpio during Chiron/menopause this week – anyone need anything blown up: I can do it just by thinking about it I’m sure! I could fill a pool with sweat and tears. Oh yeah, there’s an Eclipse too!!
Juno conj my Sun & Venus and trines my Pallas.
Moon trine my Pholus.
Mars conj my Pluto, Juno & Vesta and squares Merc/Nep.
Mercury square my Uranus.
All these slow planets in the early cusps plus Saturn is killing me, they are hitting my natal: MC/IC, Moon, PofF, Vertex, NN, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, Ceres and Chiron.
Mantra for the next 8 months:
“I love being a Scorpio, I LOVE being a Scorpio….” sigh.

The eclipse falls in my 4th house, conj 5th house cusp.
I have been invited to a party. This is a big deal for me. I don’t know the girl very well, but with the eclipse trining my Saturn Venus ASC Aquarius, I could meet someone who ends up being important to me. I don’t like parties and am shy in groups (Chiron Pisces 1st), but I’m forcing myself to go.

I have Sun @ 2 Sag (Nov 24 eclipse), the Gemini eclipse will be in 8th (close to Vertex) and opp 2nd.
I gather my worth/value/talents/money/possessions (2nd) will be strong and oppose an emotional impact or loss (Moon eclipse) with regard to information/attitude/thoughts/transportation (Gemini) that is of an intense and transformative nature (perhaps, relating to something where boundaries regarding violation or betrayal may play in?).
btw, My husband’s ASC is 16Gemini, so I’m guessing it might have to do with him in some way (or his ego, perhaps).
Hmm…in my natal chart, it’ll be conjunct my Mars and Venus in Gemini/3rd. In my progressed chart, it’ll be conjunct my Ascendant and Mercury. I guess communication will be a theme for me.

My Neptune is at 18 Sag. So there’s a planet there, but I’m not sure how significant that is, if at all.
Excited? Eh…I will be coming into financial hardship soon via the eclipses and making life changes, so I wouldn’t say that’s the right word.
