We kick off year 2012 with the Moon in Aries and Mars squaring Mercury. Uranus is also in Aries so there’s quite a bit of aggressive energy out there.

On a deeper level, the Sun conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn and many are in a process of transformation.

When I put these things together, it makes me think that if you’re not living, you’re dying. (nod to Bob Dylan)

The Moon is full at 18 degrees Cancer, early in the morning (US) on January 9th.   The situation is striking in that apart from the opposition to the Sun, the Moon is only aspected by Mars in Virgo whose energy supports the Moon.

As always, the lights come up under a full Moon. When we’re talking about Cancer and Capricorn, this means we get a reality check  around our family, security and such. The benign aspects to the Moon suggest that whatever is revealed is not that harsh. Mars in Virgo would be represent a man, available to help.
