Halloween! October 31, 2011 – Exceptionally Spooky Year
My eye on the sky.
The sky is particularly harsh on Halloween. Venus and Mars are conjunct in Scorpio in hard aspect to Mars and Neptune. Costumes will be decidedly wicked, sexy or gory. I don’t expect to see a lot of Glinda the Good Witch’s out running around under a sky like this.
In the evening, the Moon in Capricorn squares Saturn and the mood is somber. Great Depression-themed costumes are suitable and you can expect to see a lot people dressed as bums, down on their luck.
My son and his friend, the Quirky Aquarian are attuned to this energy in advance. They are going all out with the gore with their costumes and on the depressive end, they report to me that this the last Halloween they will go trick-or-treating because they’re too old (Saturn).

Venus and Mercury are conjunct in Scorpio..to avoid any confusion 
Halloween is not very celebrated here,perhaps we shall avoid the somber costumes..I’m gonna look at Merc-Venus conjunction as an opportunity to be creative with Mars-Neptune giving me drive and imagination.

LOL My daughter wants to be a dead emo! She is only 8. And her friends (who are also 
want to be something dead and gory! Yes this is the theme this year.
Mercury, mercury, mercury!!!
Halloween is on a Monday, so that means it’s a waste here. My office isn’t even having the party on Monday, for crying out loud.
My costume is masquerade ball girl (I made a fancy corset this summer and want an excuse to wear it).

@Sunny…. at fist glance I read that as “Dead Elmo” , perhaps I’m correct? Sesame Street might be upset.
We are having 5-guys over to socialize , two have no kids so it’s kinda gives them meaningful to do.
I’m being one of those Wraiths , as in the Lord of the Rings movies. Dress as it every year. ‘Course my bony gloves needs replacing.

I love Halloween. My wedding anniversary is on Halloween. I haven’t decided on my costume. Likely not too scary, we are giving out candy at the bookstore. It wouldn’t be nice to scare toddlers. But my 12 yr old is going to make her costume. She is going as teen texting fatality. Making her smashed car and a supersized phone.
I just realized it’s my 30th wedding anniversary. Haven’t made any plans, but I think we probably should!

I think I am going to a rap concert as a support person. I really don’t get it, but it’s an auntly support thing. Can I just wear a sheet with two holes in it? Oh three, I mean, I will probably need a drink to get through it. I have some old 1960s print sheets. Which one to choose . . . which one to choose. Oh I have a purple wig and funky glasses too? Does Annalisa have any advice on what kind of costume might appeal to a virgo or work for a virgo?
Halloween was always my favorite holiday. I would look down the street with all the lights on, and wonder how many Spirits were walking with us. I would try to see them.
I used to make a big effort throwing Halloween parties, but it got too expensive.
Notch – You could always dress in all pink, with a pink, feathered boa and go as “Tickled Pink.” I dressed my daughter as that one year.
I’m always a witch or a cat. That’s what I like.
Not into it this year. My kids are over walking for the crappy candy that people hand out nowadays. I can’t afford to buy candy. We can’t do it here anyway because of the culverts and no street lights.
I personally wish Halloween was celebrated as a big feast specifically for our deceased loved ones, with special, unique dishes. More fun than Thanksgiving. I HATE all this ugly gore and crap.
Hi!!! My son will have halloween,s party, he want to be a pirat. And this day 31 is my birthday …. ops…i,m of 1970. It will be a heavy year for me?? Thank you

I am spending Halloween with one of my best friends in New York before he gets shipped out on a submarine for two years. He hasn’t told me exactly what we’re doing yet, so I’m waiting to be surprised.
His costume is Zorro and I am going to be the human form of a dragon from World of Warcraft, Ysera the Dreamer.
