Back To School With Jupiter And Saturn

Saturn is the teacher, the authority figure, the wise one. Jupiter rules higher education and philosophy. Saturn rules theory handed down from experience. Jupiter is learning that arises from experiential areas. They cross boundaries in places, I suppose, but Saturn solidifies while Jupiter experiments. Saturn is “hmm,” and Jupiter is “hey!” Saturn is time-tested and textbook. Jupiter is just now publishing.
Both have their place and work well alongside each other. Sometimes over time the Jupiter teacher becomes the Saturn teacher and vice verse. I’m not particularly thinking of literal, actual teachers but that works too. Where Jupiter aspects your personal planets one tends to be more physical and optimistically philosophical. Where Saturn aspects these one has a tendency toward conservatism and time-tested avenues.
This holds true by Jupiter or Saturn’s house position as well. The type of learner you are is also reflected in any aspect Jupiter or Saturn makes to your Mercury or having position in your 3rd or 6th house (Mercury’s houses). Saturn in the 9th house or Jupiter in the 10th can signify a more reflexive learning style where they blend well.

They are pretty much totally mushed up together for me. Double Sag with Saturn conjunct my sun, so the two are inextricably intertwined in that learning thing. Old knowledge is informed by new knowledge ALL the time. “Hmm” and “hey!” co-exist completely. Thanks, Satori, never thought about it this way before (that’s a hmm and hey for you!)!!
I’ve got jupiter conjunct my moon both are in cappy in my 6th house. My merc is in cancer, so there’s a flow there, I don’t have a clue how to work that out based on what you just wrote,

they are both highly aspected, and to almost the same planets… Saturn in Leo on the 12th, and Jupiter in Gemini on the 10th.

jupiter on the asc but saturn square mercury. saturn in the 9th.
you know what? these days i feel like i understand less and less and less and less about astrology. like there are a million balls in the air and they are all about to fall to the ground despite my trying to catch them. sometimes i wish i had never become interested. (sticking out my tongue!!!! and stamping my foot.)
I have Saturn square mercury and a Virgo 3rd house. I have sun in the 9th and mercury straddling 9th/10th houses. I definitely learn Saturn style, but my passion for any subject is a very philosophical Jupiter.
My jupiter is in Virgo h. 6 and trines my 10h cappy moon. I taught my patients how to die, and they taught me how to live.

Jupiter in Libra in 2nd house,Saturn in Aquarius 6th house.Saturn squares Mercury in the 3rd.
I dunno,I think I have a more Saturnian flavour,but then again my NN is in Sag…I’m lost now.

Saturn sextiles my merc(which is my chart ruler) and conjuncts my ascendant.
Jupiter squares my merc.
My mind never stops even when I think it has all of a sudden I have one of those aha “hey” moments that turn into hmmm.,.

Mercury-Saturn in the multiple conjunction. Merc inconjunct Jupiter. You know – just to keep it interesting. Saturn and Jupiter are both heavily aspected in my chart.

I see saturn as my base of knowledge. What I learned growing up and what I have become to know as fact. Jupiter is the ongoing learning. That which I am incorporating. Saturn for me is more cold hard fact and Jupiter is my “what’s that up there?”
My saturn is in 4th conj IC and Jupiter is in 11th house capricorn. So, yes they play together. Jupiter allows me to take what I know and expand upon it and my Scorp Mercury will scurry around gathering all the details in the process.
Often tho, I’ll jump to conclusions before all the details are in (I’m a bit impatient) but with Merc and Saturn on opposite ends I really am slow to integrate something to the base.
Saturn in Gem 4 square venus, BQ Merc, trine mars/uranus and AC while opposing MC. Jupiter in Cap 11 sextile moon, square mars and pluto sextile AC
I’m currently under Jupiter transit through my 3rd and Saturn through my 9th. While Saturn is restricting me in 9th house matters, Jupiter is taking me fast into it’s own.
I have Jupiter and Saturn in the 3rd, ruled by Aquarius…
Needless to say, I am a sponge when it comes to learning – both styles appeal to me..
