1 Minute Astrology: Be Happy In Love!

Astrology in real life

There are some things you are better off not fighting over, namely a person’s nature…

Is there something about your partner that you really ought to just accept?

This is so great. I wish I’d found someone (not to marry…ugh – LOL) who let ME by myself and accept ME the way you do for your husband. I’ve always done that for others but they just don’t seem to let ME be ME.

I’m happy for you two :-) These are the kinds of things that make me feel better about the world. Just knowing there is SOMEONE else out there who can let others BE who they are without beating them up about not being what they think a person should be. Oy.

My ex would do both — endure my snooze bar antics, do wake up calls, bring me coffee — as well as flog me for being such a difficult person to wake, lazy for getting to sleep in, etc. Confused much?

Funny how such a simple thing, getting out of bed, can reflect the entire nature of two people and their dynamic.

Thanks, Patrice. I think it’s real smart on his part not to hold me in bed when I want to Go! :) “Bootle” as he calls it. He calls me a “bootler”, says I get up and bootle and I most definitely do!
:)

On the food, he is like a rhino and appreciates being able to eat while still in the mud hole, lol. :)

Nothing can compete with your videos …They are great.Guide to life. Maybe I am dense but it just enters my brain better trough video. Great topic and so true!!! I’m gonna show this to my remaining friends and watch it over and over. It is a choice too to not get bugged on purpose. With a taurus mars and a bff with mars in aries I can so relate. The numerous times I’ve called her stressful and she has called me lazy:)

This is not only great advice for romantic relationships, but for all relationships! What would people rather? That we’re all carbon copies of each other? It’s what makes life interesting!

Awesome video, Elsa! You not only sound smart, but you look great doing it! ;-)

So true! I wonder if it is unwise to expect the same thing from your friends. My friends complain to me that I dont pick up the phone, or I don’t call enough, or blah blah blah. It is soo annoying but, I try to take it in stride. The funny thing is if they wouldn’t complain so much I’d be happy to talk, ugh. Sometimes I just need to do my own thing! If i’m not busy in their sense of the word then I’m doing something wrong. lol rant officially over!

Omg, I’m completely like your hubby. Snooze bar queen. And all I have in Taurus is Mars. Rest of the chart is heavy Aries. That Taurus is some powerful stuff.

This is great. I try to apply this concept with everyone once I learn their nature. It’s a great management skill.
I delegate this way:
My pisces moon dad get to serve the drinks
My libra mom is responsible for the invitations
My virgo sister is responsible for cleaning up afterwards
My mars in Taurus brother is responsible for finding something good on TV, via the remote.
My aries sun daughter is responsible for keeping the atmosphere moving
My other aqua rising daughter gets to keep the conversations from overheating
OH and at work
OK I’ll shut up now

This Taurus Rising thinks you are a great partner!

I set the alarm to include time to stay in bed after waking. It helps with meeting the day, regardless of whether I’m low on sleep or have had enough.

Having so much Sagittarius in me. If people don’t appreciate my ‘free’ and ‘wild’ nature, then they can’t date me and if they care about me, then they’ll accept my nature of needing space and to go outside the house 80% of the time! LOL.

I agree. Sometimes it’s hard and I need to vent about it to some people but I do let the person ‘be’.

BTW my fave is the last part where you say that YOU aren’t the perfect person either, so it’s all fair game :)

I think about that too when I feel like I’m doing all the ‘accepting’ – because it is two sided! Absolutely!

Excellent video Elsa, thank you :) It made me think about things that I could be doing differently.

You are looking so pretty!

I’m a Taurus Rising too… I can’t get out of bed immediately, though once I’m awake, I’m awake and ready to do stuff, but I like that 30 minutes or so to laze in and our of sleep and psyche myself up to get moving.

Definitely food for thought. I’ve been nitpicked and nagged to death by my exes about various things. I’m sure I’ve done it in return at times. I think it’s important to pick battles. What is something you can live with versus what is not?

Thanks, Elsa. Great video!

I’m Taurus Sun but I have Mercury in Aries and I’m outta bed as soon as my eyes open – boom!

On trying to change People’s Nature – I agree completely. People are not Chinese Menus. Where I’ve gotten into trouble is when I don’t understand someone’s nature – either my own or someone else’s.

You’re so cute, Elsa! lol

I like seeing a bit of your house in the background, too. I like seeing how people decorate their houses. Sunny yellow.

I always brought coffee in the morning, picked out the work clothes, made a bag lunch, etc. It was never appreciated. Maybe this next time.

I am excited to see what he will be like. The only requirement is that he loves me for me from the start. Soul connection makes all the idiosyncrasies not only unimportant, but even endearing.

To be sure. I finally told the partner with an Aqua Sun/Venus with Pisces Merc/Mars that “I don’t want to do this anymore.” His Taurus Moon says he wants commitment but the rest of him doesn’t. I had to accept that I can’t resolve the square for him– and I don’t want to be with someone who only wants me in my absence. So, I guess in a way, I finally accepted him for who he is. And I accepted myself too, Venus Scorpio needs intimacy.

Elsa, you are indeed looking very pretty.

Elsa – a great one that is really sticking with me. With Saturn conjunct my sun I’ll cop to tending to be a control freak and having tried to change my partners in the past. But as I have gotten older (ha, Saturn again!) and come to the point of accepting my own limitations (just for example, no planets in air signs, so if you ask me to remember directions you tell me orally you’re gonna be disappointed) it gets easier not to put pressure on both others AND myself. Before, I felt compelled to be perfect and try to make my partners that way, too, even if I knew “intellectually” that that was silly and pointless. It’s so much easier realizing that neither you nor your partner has to be perfect and that’s actually BETTER. Yeah, when I get really stressed I still push too hard, but I’m not perfect ;)
