The Composite Chart Ruler

August 31st, 2011 @ 2:57 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I pulled up the old post about composite charts because I was looking the composite chart between my husband and I and it was just so striking, in relation to how we are seen in public. The chart overall is pretty disastrous. It’s okay if you don’t mind the composite Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, Saturn and the Black Moon Lilith involved in a T-square. Most people would balk at that. I’d balk at that if it were really an option but the point I want to make in bringing it up, is that’s a lot to set aside. The chart is hard core but what about the chart ruler?

Our composite chart has Scorpio rising so Mars (and Pluto) rules the chart.  Mars (prowess) is in Leo (showy) in the 10th house and there is no end to the flashing of knives in public.  You can be sure there is no end, either because Mars is trine Jupiter in Sagittarius which is essentially an unlimited source of energy.

I think this funny, just because it stands in such contrast to the rest of the chart.  The whole world knows that my husband and I will fight but other qualities of our relationship, including all nuance is much harder to discern when you’re not here in the room.

For the record, co-ruler Pluto is also in the 10th house.  You can see how these placements overshadow everything else, even when the everything else is profound.

Tell us about the ruler of the composite chart of your relationship.

Synastry vs Composite Charts

August 31st, 2011 @ 9:44 am by Elsa

Just Blathering…

zodiac old horoscope loveA reader asks:

“In your style, do you feel composite charts are more, less or just as significant as synastry? I know that every astrologer has a different style & preference. Just wondering what your take on it is. Are they both different but hold just the same weight of importance?”

I think they are both significant but for different things. Synastry shows how two people interact. She feels thwarted by him. He feels supported by her. They butt heads all the time, or whatever.

Heads Up From Elsa P: September 1, 2011 – Sex, Food and Creativity

August 31st, 2011 @ 5:44 am by Elsa

Excerpt from my weekly newsletter.

From my weekly newsletter (sent tomorrow)

The moon is in Scorpio heading into the weekend. It gets on well with the grand trine in earth which gives structure to the deep emotions of the collective as well as your own.  It’s smooth sailing up until Friday night at which point. At that point the moon collides with Mercury in Leo and we should see some theatrics…”

Voice Of Mars: “Gettin’ Kind Of Itchy”

August 31st, 2011 @ 5:25 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

From 2008.  The graphic is from Cafepress and my husband has it on a shirt.

“Yeah, I went into Walgreens wearing this shirt people looked at me in my glasses and say, wonder if that hog can do anything,” he said. I laughed.

“Yeah, they wonder if a hog like me can do anything; reminds of the time in college where I knocked the captain of the football team on his ass. I mean I knocked the piss out of him. Knocked him right out of his chair onto the floor and knocked one of his buddies too. Big dudes these were, no one could believe it. You know the football players ate the Gods around there.” (swearing below the break)

Client Testimonial: “Accessible Yet Poignant”

August 30th, 2011 @ 8:38 pm by Satori

Recommendations from clients

cheer!DJ writes:

“The consultation with Satori was amazing. I was a little nervous at first when I contacted her, yet as soon as I read the first line of the consultation, my worries were immediately alleviated. One of the main reasons I enjoyed Satori’s insight was because it was laid back yet very realistic. Furthermore there was no condescending tone, the knowledge she provided me with was accessible yet poignant. I thoroughly enjoyed Satori’s insight and she is an amazing astrologer, whose interpretations resonate with the individual’s chart, not just with what she has studied. Furthermore she knows how to find the source of conflicts without belittling her clients and she is very understanding. I highly recommended Satori for whatever questions you may have, I know for sure I will contact her during times of need.”

Thank you, DJ!

Saturn, Fate And Opportunity

August 30th, 2011 @ 6:33 pm by Satori

“Fate leads he who follows it, and drags he who resists.”
–Plutarch

The Little Prince and the BaobabsI have a friend who is starting a new job tomorrow. She has transiting Saturn exact on her IC. The IC is Moon-ruled and the Moon conjuncts Saturn tomorrow. The Moon is feeling, the IC is home and Saturn is restriction. Saturn on the Moon or the IC can bring emotional restriction and fear, which is pretty normal when anticipating a new job situation. The IC is part of the MC/IC axis which signifies career vs. home No doubt this new job will affect the way she splits her energy between career and home, create restriction though not necessarily in a negative way, definitely boundary-setting.

Saturn in Libra – Balancing Your Social Network(s)

August 30th, 2011 @ 8:47 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

I strongly favor twitter over facebook and Google + but I’ve noticed that I really have to keep an eye on my feed. There have been weeks where it’s been blissful for me on twitter. I have just right mix of this and that to keep things interesting and then, WHAM! I add someone(s) and all the sudden, my twitter looks like, Spam Central or Preachy Central or Obsessive Central.

This happened to me a few weeks ago and I’d give anything to have a RESTORE button. I have not been able to get my twitter back to where I really enjoyed it and I only have myself to blame.

Since, I’ve been really aware these social networks play a big part in our lives. I don’t want to go to twitter and be irritated. I don’t want to go to Facebook and be irritated. I don’t want to go to google + and be irritated either.  Reading this stuff impacts my day so I am hell-bent on getting a good mix going on Twitter and sticking with it.

Do you maintain control (Saturn) of your social (Libra) networks?

They Don’t Want You…But Go Nuts When Someone Else Does

August 30th, 2011 @ 5:12 am by Elsa

Saturn in Libra, let’s learn about love.

I would like to understand this phenomena. You don’t like your wife or you don’t like your husband. You complain incessantly, you wish you’d never met them, they are bane of your existence and just in general, you feel they are worthless.

Eventually they leave you and whoops! Someone else snaps them up!

Now why are you so pissed? Why do you come unglued and/or try to destroy them? What do you care? Really. Why. Do. You. Care?

Anyone?
