New Moon Eclipse In Cancer, 2011

In the US this week’s solar eclipse New Moon takes place at 8 degrees Cancer late Thursday night or early Friday morning depending on your location. This is the last of this season’s eclipses. Eclipse season happens when the Sun is near the North or South Node. Close proximity makes for a total eclipse and wide, partial.
This week’s eclipse is partial but it carries a big stick as it falls in line with the Saturn, Pluto, Uranus tee square creating a cardinal Grand Cross. Wherever that Sun Moon conjunction falls in your chart by house is the area of affect. New Moons in general herald a time of new beginnings and are ideal for setting intentions, particularly those that have to do with related house matters.
In Cancer, in general, this particularly relates to women, the mother, and the home. With Pluto opposing the conjunction, there is a depth and transformative power present. Across the Cancer/Capricorn axis one theme may be the shadow in regard to the parent, your parents and the parenting of your children.

This falls in my 6th house. My kid starts her summer holidays. It’s full on mother time.
9th house, and it hits my t-square between Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto.
First house conjunct my Jupiter.

This eclipse falls in my 12th house and I was thinking my mantra should be, I will stay out of jail, I will stay out of jail, lol!!
By the hair of my chinny, chin-chin it’s out of orbit for all planets. It falls 4degrees from conjucting my sun, 3degrees from squaring my mc/ic and 5degrees from opposing my jupiter. I’m holding my breathe and laying low.

8th House… Great- House of Death, squaring my Aries Sun which is already squaring transiting Pluto. How do you even prepare for that?

House 11, between my NN at the end of Gemini and my Cancer planets at 21/23Ëš. But the Grand Cross sets off a great deal in my chart, with so much in Cancer, Cap and Libra…

Exactly on my ascendent. It opposes my natal moon just inside the 7th house. This ought to be a doosie…

8th house, conjunct my natal moon and square my natal saturn in libra. Think my intention will be about nurturing myself.
@Satori – love your intention! My first thought was, I can see the temptation there, nice and tender, free range and pretty much chemical free, but sounds like yours have gotten to the stage where it’d be too much work for too little reward. I would however urge you to work with what you have and look at the other more socially acceptable options available to you right now. For example, I’m thinking the personal slave route might be a viable one. In this instance, your kids would be benefiting by learning about discipline and hard work; you’d actually be setting them up for life…. win-win situation all-around

This falls in my 6th house…positive health transformations maybe? By then I will have been a raw vegan for about a month, so maybe I will see/feel transforming results.

I have a question & I think its silly but I need an answer now you say US time does it mean other places wont be affected by the eclipse?
This will be conjunct my Saturn by one degree in my 7th house. I know a solar eclipse is about new beginnings, I really, really hope this brings what it promises to into my life.

It falls on my natal Venus, 8 degrees Cancer, 11th House. What does that mean?
I also have natal Saturn at 15 degrees Cancer 11th…
lalola, other places will be affected by the eclipse at the same time, but will experience it from different places on the globe. the US is in night so it’s quite far away from the eclipse (in terms of being on the earth). the US has most of the earth between it and the moon sun alignment. those in the light at the time of the eclipse don’t have the earth between them and the sun/moon. the moon is directly between them and the sun.
those who experience the eclipse directly overhead (midday in their time) are said to experience it most keenly.

Big fun, this is happening basically conjunct my 7th house Sun (just a few days to my birthday). Also, I’m having a Venus/Mars return. I’m currently feeling like my mind is in a blender. I’m looking forward to act 2, so ready to rise from these ashes.
In my 5th while Venus is conjunct my Part of Fortune and exactly trine my natal sun. Ox’s 7th when Venus will conjunct his natal Saturn and his Mercury will be on his Part of Fortune.
Here is my prediction about how it will play out. My mother, my son and my fiance are going to figure out whether they can get along like adults or whether they are going to continue to be impulsive, stubborn asses. And I’m going to let them. That’s right, I told all three of them last night that I’m out of it. I get along with you, I get along with you and I get along with you. This is not my problem. This is a problem between the three of you who ARE CAPABLE of being rational and talking things out on any other occassion and I’m having a hard time understanding why the heck this is any different.
See, the 3 have never gotten along. Never. So, I would tell this one something for that one or ask this one not to do this anymore because it bothers the other. Then, when one side didn’t do what the other wanted guess who everone got mad at?..yep, me.
When the water got deep last night, I said enough was enough. I’m not playing go between for adults who should know better. NO. Here you go, envision that boundary. Guess again who they all got mad at.

Oh, I don’t know maybe because I’m tired of trying to control the situation to spare everyone’s feelings and getting the shit end of the stick from all of ya. Is that a good enough reason you bunch of freakin 3rd graders? Can’t you even get along during recess?
I’m disgusted with all of them and everyone has their sword out ready to amputate someone. All three are under a crazy amount of stress over this and a bunch of other stuff and I understand their frustration.
The Part of Fortune thing..it’s going to be a big deal. I did tell them each prior to this that they were not alone, everyone was under a lot of stress right now and I told them they would have a choice, follow the road you have always followed and continue re-living the ground hog day results of your decisions..or realize what isn’t working and do it differntly.
I love them all. And I will love them all if they kill eachother. But if they don’t come to a resolution soon…even if it is agreeing to stay the hell away from eachother and never speak to me again, I’m going to be done with the whole lot of them. And considering this is 3 of the 5 most important people in my life, it is a big deal.
Given the size of all the egos involved here, I’m a little concerned that each of them will probably choose Pride over good sense, personal growth and the peace that comes with making ammends.
That sounds like a “your” problem not a “mine.” I changed my behavior. Grow up with me, or go play in somone else’s yard. I changed my pattern. NOrmally I wouldn’t know whether to shit or go blind when they are all fighting. Who do I protect? Whose side am I on?

and I just looked at the other two charts involved in this..the eclipse will happen on my mother’s IC (4th house) while Mercury is conjunct her Saturn and all opposing a conjunction at the MC with transiting pluto and natal lilith.
And my kid, 7th house..no major contacts except Pluto is transiting his 1st house and that isn’t going to be fun for a Saturn return..just saw that. But anyway.
I swear, I feel like I’m watching the beginning of a total train wreck and there isn’t a thing I can do about it.

This falls in my 12th house tightly conjunct my Mercury. At the same time transiting Mercury is conjunct my Sun on ASC. Looks like I’m having a double whammy. So I expect quite a busy day communicating with my clients.
Previous solar eclipses on my personal planets brought significant changes in my life so this upcoming eclipse is intriguing for me. However this falls in 12th house.
any comment about the square aspect of eclipse from 11H to Natal Libra moon and uranus conjunction in 2H?

Seventh house, Pluto opposing.
I’ve thought about this a lot because the last time this eclipse happened I had just given birth to my son: obvious, right — moon, mother cancer — etc. This was a massive lifechange and it was all oriented towards parenting, homemaking, breastfeeding, diapers…whole thing. Can’t get more astrologically apt than that.
