Michael Lutin, former Vanity Fair horoscope writer, consulting astrologer and the author of several books, is the wittiest astrologer I’ve ever read. His book Made in Heaven was one of my first astrological book purchases, one which I pick up to read again and again. Not only is it a great resource for understanding the energy of each sign, it is also plain and simple a great read. No other book has me laughing out loud like this one while at the same time shouting, “So true! So true!”

Made In Heaven is broken down into the 12 signs of the zodiac, specifically explaining the love nature of each sign. Each sign is broken down into strengths, weaknesses and challenges as well as jokes like gift ideas and suggested reading material. “Gift Ideas for Leo: A banana peel, to remind you to let go and overcome your natural urge to control. When Leo learns to slip up and still laugh there are no limits to how far the relationship can go.” “Recommended Reading for Virgo: Of Human Bondage, by Somerset Maugham.”

This book makes the rounds from my desk to the coffee table to my nightstand and back to my desk again. It never sits on the bookshelf unless company’s coming. Even then I’ve had people pick it off the shelf and say, “Hey, what’s this? It must be a great book; the binding’s all worn!”

I’ll leave you to guess what sign Michael Lutin was talking about: “Those of you who can’t get the balance together cannot get along with anybody. your life is your war. Everybody’s a threat to your personal integrity. You have a new job every five minutes because every boss is a moron. You scream, “Shaddap!” and grab the credit and push people off their crutches to get on the bus ahead of them.”
