Relationships and Astrology of Dating: One Woman’s Experiences
Annalisa on Dating
I have had a very rich dating life and enjoy a lot of friendships with many different sun signs! I happen to have had a career that brings with it the opportunity to date many men as I have been a dancer, model and singer with Grammy winning musicians. I happen to have the body that seems to be the coveted shape in being tall, thin with a dancer’s body that is long-legged. The way you look, unfortunately, has a lot to do with dating and relationships starting so I have had the experience of spending time with many different people. I got it into my mind to date every sign at least once to see what they were like, not taking into consideration their chart, just their sun sign to make things easy! Yes, it was a game of sorts but my thoughts were that if I met “the one” I would luck out and the experiment would prove a great idea! I’m not talking sex with each sign, just spending time, dates or hanging out with each Sun Sign!
I found that my Moon sign being involved, that is men that matched my Moon sign happened to cause me to open up very deeply and, in fact, I had my “first love” have my Moon sign as his Sun sign. I was “family” with this man and found myself wrapped up in his family and he wrapped up in mine. I found what felt like a “soul mate” with my own Sun Sign but found that our lives were limited because we were so much alike it led to shutting out others and we lived in a vacuum! We were both so alike that others could not read out particular language and we ended up shutting a lot of people out! We ended up burying each other can being cut off from the world! We also saw things the same way so managing life became very messy because no one was checking the other side of issues!
My Venus sign turned up men that seemed to be very open to talking about their feelings and they also seemed to baby me and try to protect me. When my Venus was the Sun sign of a man I dated he confided in me and me in him with a lot of trust but we were so mismatched in other areas because my Venus has little to do with my chart that we broke up because of lack of interest! My Mars brought to me men that turned me on terribly and really made me think about sex rather than relationships! I had crushes on men that had their Sun sign on my Mars and the rest was not so compatible because my Mars is in square to a lot of my chart! So – it was about sex and I’m not one to stay in a relationship for sex so that went away fast as well! I had fights that were just to irritate each other often with men whose Sun sign matched my Mars.
I found that those men who were in opposition to my rising were often those that worked against my career in behind the scenes ways which matched my rising. Men who had Sun Signs that were opposite my Sun were the most interesting to me and in fact, I married a Sun sign opposite my Sun in the end of it all! Jupiter being involved, that being those whose Sun sign was my Jupiter sign made me jolly and helped me take very little seriously! I found that they were the ones who made me laugh but that is not the only thing one needs from a relationship.
Those whose Sun sign matched my Saturn were truly hard on me and not likely to give me a break while they would try to manage my career and give me career advice; they were not cheerleaders for me in the least!
I dated men of each sign and took their Sun sign into account to do my study of men and partners. I was looking just at the partner relationship because I was single and wanted to find a partner, as we all do. I found amazing similarities between men of each Sun sign and found myself able to predict how things would go by a man’s Sun sign and where it landed in my chart. I could tell how he would affect my life by what house his Sun landed in, etc. The study was a great success and to this day it comes in handy when I meet new people because I learned so much about how Sun signs alone can affect your relationships!
What have you found when dating people of certain Sun signs and how they affect your chart? What situations have played themselves out again and again when you are involved with a person of certain Sun signs? How do certain Sun signs in partners affect you and where do they land in your chart?

@lili, seems like the air and fire signs tend not to be long term [for you]. Could there be a bias due to the nature of your own chart?
Okay I just lost my comment…
Basically said.
Scorpios they hit my Scorp Jupiter and Pisces Moon, so we are very intense and thats too much committment for me.
Aquarius.. so I got confused and left the building.
Cancer… So insensitive towards my feelings. They are the opposition to my Venus and Asc. But
Sag… Broke my heart, we laughed so hard that I could not breath! Sag v’s my Sag stellium.
Leos? I fight with them!
In 2005 I made the comment that I had never been out with a Leo or a Scorpio… since then I’ve only been out with Leos and Scorpios. It wasn’t planned… it just happened that way. I am hugely attracted to them both but I have Aquarius Mercury and Venus as well as Taurus Mars which seem to be problemataic for them both. Having Neptune in the 7th house I probably see them both through pretty pink glasses anyway ![]()
I used to describe myself as a Virgo magnet but not since the Leos and Scorpios came into my world. I still think a certain type of Virgo would be good for me with my Pisces Sun, Capricorn Moon, Taurus Mars and Virgo Jupiter but my Aquariusness tends to get bored with the predictability factor that the rest actually likes. That’s something I need to work on.
I was married to a fellow Piscean for 20 years and the only long term relationship since then was 5 years with a Virgo. The Pisces and I got along fabulously in the bedroom but nowhere else and it was vice versa with the Virgo – lol.
@Debdeb oh absolutely. My Saturn is in aries and aries is also my descendant. I’ve libra rising and mars in aquarius so they feed my initial attractions. My mars in aquarius squares my neptune in scorpio.
My mercury is cap is square my saturn in aries. My saturn is also opposing my rising.
In the end venus in scorpio always wins. But my venus is square my mars
Lol Annalisa it’s the venus in scorpio I tell you. It obsesses over potential partners
It’s my scorp too! I finally found the perfect partner but I made a study of it, yes I did! The perfect partner I knew all my life but never dated and was my opposite Sun Sign! Who knew? I should have kissed him when he tried to kiss me long, long ago!
@Annalisa my Uncle and Aunt are Pisces/Pisces. They drive each other nuts but cannot live without one another. They have been together almost 30 years. Lol yes the Scorp can make us nuts but when we finally decide it’s usually an awesome choice.
– we were so much alike it led to shutting out others and we lived in a vacuum! We were both so alike that others could not read out particular language and we ended up shutting a lot of people out! We ended up burying each other can being cut off from the world!
When a relationship works for me this is what it freakin’ looks like! I’m single and now that explains why! I thought it just because I’m a lousy hunter … LMAO
I mean, it is limiting girl!
I married a man who has Jupiter conjunct my sun-venus-NN. He is very good to me (and my path) and he says I bring light to his life.
I’ve had the most bizarre yet deeply touching relationships with men whose major planets aspect my moon-neptune conjunction. All sorts of undefined boundaries & merging. Husband has mercury there which I think is a bit safer.
I hear you, Rachael, it’s what happened to me when I dated my own sign, we were cut off and yes, it was VERY limiting! Our own little world, satalite, yes. it was too small, that world.
lilliloves, I was in deep with a Scorp and married him, it lasted 12 years but he couldn’t behave and went to prison!! Yes, they can drive us crazy but there is an upside to the Pisces/Scorp thingy. I think that I have a sign on me to attract Scorps but I need a break from all that intensity! Wow, it was intense, then again, he was Scorp/Aries sun/ Sag rising, just fire and water!
Cool article! I know what you mean about men who’s Sun’s match my mars–it’s all about sex! But thankfully I found my current boyfriend, his moon sign matches my mars which is just enough, and we are both the same Sun sign! Yes it can be limiting but for an Aquarius I think its about finally being understood by someone, completely no questions asked or eyebrows raised. And the effect is I feel freeee.
How about dating someone who’s Sun sign matches your south node/north node? Any thoughts or observations?
Whoa Annalisa at all of that fire and water. My hubby is split down the middle scorp/aries/cappie. The scorps tend to run afoul of the law every now and again
Virgo men are awesome too. Taurus rising(well Taurus everything) is always a bonus
“I found that those men who were in opposition to my rising were often those that worked against my career in behind the scenes ways which matched my rising.”
I found this to be absolutely, positively true for me.
Re Pisces/Pisces long term: I thought I was happy… until I met somebody (a Virgo) who reminded me what it was like to feel special. Strangely, it was my ex-husband’s new girlfriend after we separated who pointed out to me that I must have been very lonely in my marriage. It was a lightbulb moment for me! I had no idea I hadn’t been happy for years until other people pointed it out to me. Damn that 7th house Neptune!
Also, I am pretty sure my ex has Pisces Venus (Venus changed from Aquarius to Pisces the day he was born and we don’t have a birth time for him) so he probably had similar lightbulb moments after we separated – lol.
great experiment Annalisa! sounds like you had some fun!!
Gemini makes my hair stand up..l get bored after 2 weeks
Libra was great!! good understanding on the mental plane, smooth relationship lasted 7 years.
Scorpio freaked me out over and over again…not the intensity just the person doom&gloom
When l was 12 l had my first boyfriend (just holding hands) and l’m sure he was a crab…the way he was and everything..yes!
my first ‘real’ relationship was also with a crab l was 15.
Cancer has been a lot in my life l always had very nice encounters with the crab so that works well with me in a relationship..maybe the moon trine or my moon juno conjunction…
Hi Oanney! Good to see you! Yes, I had a lot of fun doing my experiments! It sounds as if you attract Cancers because of your chart and that is the opposite of mine, usually, because I have Cap so strong in my chart and tend to scare them. Often a Cancer feels my self confidence is unsettling because I am so at home in my body and in front of people and they tend to do better at home while I do not. I had to train myself to be a “homey” type person and had my life all out there with the work I did. I like Cancers but I never fail to scare them! I’ve even had them try to sabotage my career out of insecurity! That scares me! Your moon seems to make you so nice that I’m glad I met you here on the board because you have interesting ways of thinking!
hello Annalisa! good to see you too
l’m having a friend here now a Pisces sun(Cap risign) so l’m bussy showing him the city and talking away…l’ve seen this post and it resonated with me.
l don’t know if l’m a homey type of person either..sometimes l am..my scorpio moon likes to hide and satrun in leo can be a drag!!…if the crabs have a fun moon it will go better l do need lot’s of action like you. l can understand that!
People sabotaging because of their insecurity :/ not ok! l don’t see the point in jealousy etc, but l know the art world can be very competitive, l just retreat and do my thing!
…now l’m gettign lot’s fun here l can melt in front of my laptop sometimes!!
yes, jealousy, oanney, is the root of so much evil! It’s funny about your friend, I’m a Pisces with a Cap rising, (moon/jupiter conjunct in Sag) so I’ll bet we’d have some fun running about! I love Leo in a chart, it makes things interesting and many of my friends have scorp and Leo in their charts. How does Saturn in Leo play out for you?
haha after l wrote this l thougth Annalisa is probably Pisces Capricorn risign..and well l’m right! ah Sadge moon fun fun fun! When my pr. moon was in Sadge l enjoyed myself a lot! When l had my Saturn return l was performing with my music and had the best time ever. So the Leo Saturn is ok at times…at the moment l’m on a low with performing but that’s what l really love doing..this muse of mine can get stuck at times. Now l’m in my least creative period. l wrote a post on lunar phases and this is my low, low. l was bron after first queter moon and l can feel that!
For now l’m learning other things and improving my skills on other areas
but being an artist with Leo Saturn (11th house) is not funny Annalisa.
Yes my friend is pretty fun, bussy, bussy, bussy! sort of working while here fromt iem to time… He is this flying(pisces) rock(cap) !!
that would make you a comet Annalisa(with sadge moon)..it’s you making me write things like this
they just pop in my head lol, l feel very relaxed other wise l would be zipped.
got to go now have a fun evening my guest needs me
weeeee!!

I haven’t dated in a long, long time as I tend to flow from one long term to another but my venus in scorpio tends to rule me.
Aries men-fun only when partying. Aries women-awesome for sporting and house related stuff.
Taurus men and women are paradise. I want them all lol.
Gemini men and women are fascinating to party with but nothing long term.
Cancer women I love. They make me crazy paternal. Cancer men require patience for me.
Leo men are fabulous for outings but not really to keep. I am mush for Leo women.
Virgo men are my stalkers lol. I love them when they aren’t being nuts. Virgo women are like family when they aren’t stressed. Romantically they both require work.
Libran men are awesome for happy fun time. I haven’t bonded with enough Libra women to sort them.
Scorpio men have me completely. Scorpio women are back and forth eternally over their tempers.
Sags of both persuasions are fun for partying nothing long term though.
Other cappie men are a no for me romantically. I haven’t pondered two cappie women in a romantic relationship. It might be the apocalypse lol.
Aquarian women are awesome as long as I can hold their attention and Aquarian men have me completely.
Pisces men and women are a lot of fun but the fighting demons thing is hard for me to picture long term.
