Astrology Meets Tarot!

IMG_1056

“Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.” –Stephen Wright

Now, Venus is fixing to square Pluto, shortly before opposing Saturn. That means undeniable strife and you can expect ghost sightings under these conditions. The thing to remember always, though, is that you have choices—not so much in the cards drawn, but always in how you play them.

When I drew for today’s Tarot and got another repeat of yesterday, I opted to make it a three-card spread. I mean, what else am I going to do? Obviously, the card wants to be heard, a little louder now.

"I am but your servant, oh inscrutable Tarot," I say, mostly to appease the Tarot Gods. They like that. Consider it’s Mind / Body / Spirit time!

For mind, we have the inverted Ten of Pentacles (Mercury in Virgo), body is the Nine of Swords (Mars in Gemini) and spirit is the inverted Nine of Wands (Mars in Sagittarius).  Mars will have his say! With two nines and a ten, though, we’re into the end of a cycle in preparation for new beginnings. With Pentacles, Swords and Wands all represented, it touches on what we experience, what we think, and what we do.

dreamsThe dissatisfactions, all the ways you feel short-changed in love or in life, the alienation from what you value? This gives you nothing but sleepless nights and, eventually, ill health. It runs you down physically, making it very difficult to endure whatever challenges you face. Trying to think your way out of it isn’t especially effective here, leading to a vicious circle of agitated thought. No help there.

I’d suggest short-circuiting this cycle. Instead of looking at what’s broken and crying over helplessness to fix, look at what’s right in your life and fight to keep and grow it. Defend your most important values. Let go of what’s not serving without fanfare, favoring instead activity and perspectives that help you feel stronger and shored up. That will help keep you from losing it while riding things out.

If you’re dealing with ghosts, you’ve got perfect opportunity to fondly welcome loving memories or exorcise stubborn demons. Your call. Make your choices wisely, and your spirit will endure.

How are you doing, getting through the night?

I wish I knew how to let go… I don’t know how to do it anymore. I would have been so much better off if I’d managed it before other things happened. IO occasionally feel free of things, and then it’s right back. It’s a beautiful day, I woke up to birdsong, but I’m almost flat-lined emotionally (when I’m not crying). I’m also annoyed that it’s still with me. (Although I get reminders of some things constantly – things I won’t go into. More personal that hurt every time.)

I’m sleeping more soundly now than I have in a long time. Aries stellium transiting my 2nd and I’m valuing and defining my values..so that part is in check.

Venus/pluto/saturn, yeah, I’ve already seen this playing out in the universe. Glad I had a heads up about it from Elsa or otherwise my reaction to a few situations would have been a little different.

Being conscious and keeping in mind how much of what I’ve been through and survived was in my mind and my control all along.

funny but I had such a restless sleeping night last night- I tried to go to bed early which I did, but then woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep properly. I kept thinking about work and trying to go over and over in my mind what I should work on next. I have a huge tradeshow coming up in June and feel the pressure now since I had most of my time sucked up the last month with another project, I am now back logged with getting ready. Although I thrive on this me- Aries w/ Sag rising I am feeling like I am not sure where to focus my energy these days.

Ugh. Damn. Damn, damn. I knew this guy would be back. In fact, I knew he would be back on Easter.

But this time, I wasn’t expecting to feel…annoyed. Grown up. Sufficiently devoid of bullshit tolerance.

You got something to say? Say it.

What’s not serving me anymore is worrying WTF is going on in someone else’s head. Either it’s aired, or it doesn’t exist for me. Hooray! It’s liberating…

But I’m still annoyed that I knew he’d be back and I was right. Grrr….

Perfect timing (again) Dixie! While Saturn has been retrograde, it’s been marching back and forth opposite my Aries Venus… so, you know what that means! I’ve been learning the value of ‘traveling light’. ;-) Surprisingly though, this last go-around hasn’t been teaching me to ‘let go’ of things so much, but to ‘take care’ of those things that I value that are left. – No sleepless nights thankfully!
