Astrology Meets Tarot!

three-pentaclesHe conquers who endures.  -Persius

Every personal achievement I can think of, I started off utterly clueless about the demands. All of ‘em! I wonder sometimes, how much I would have opted out on, if I’d been better informed or more realistic. Looking at it that way, I guess it’s just as well!

No matter where you start, though, if it’s important enough to pursue, there’s one thing that always seems to work: not giving up.

I like to switch around decks. Each gives its own dimension, another layer to work with. Every permutation leaves a little echo of energy you can access when you see the card again. That’s why I didn’t cuss when I pulled today’s card.

We have the 3 of Earth, i.e. the Three of Pentacles. If seems like déjà vu to you, it’s because we saw another version yesterday! I could whine, but no. I just keep going.

He’s still associated with Mars in Capricorn, and this take from the Psychic Tarot Oracle doesn’t directly address the usual group dynamic of threes, although "others" are implied by public recognition. Here, we see the result of serious (Capricorn) effort (Mars) for achievement (Capricorn). He’s victorious (Mars)!

In this context, it’s about seeing efforts through to the best of your abilities. You may need to occasionally correct course. But the only way you get anywhere is by keeping on. One foot in front of the other. Attend, adapt, advance. Attend, adapt, advance. That’s the super-magical amazing secret to success: work hard, keep going. Tada!

Are you still going strong?

I have tried and tried to increase my income and only recently realized the extent that proper coupon stockpiling (not the hoarding from Extreme Couponing) could save me longterm. The cards have been pointing to decreasing expense for awhile. I finally admitted I didn’t know anything else I could do and was almost immediately introduced to people who had new skills and information ready to teach me.

This week has been insane in every way, except with the couponing aspect. That part has been steady, deep and full of internal epiphanies about misconceptions and stupidities I’ve held on to for years.

Even yesterday with one stupid detour and unexpected crapfest after another, I was given an equal amount of hope, competence increase and understanding in saving money.

So I’m cool with this card in every way, especially since I’ve had three conversations this morning already, all of which have been encouraging and all about smart purchases (from buying a house to just normal groceries). I had no clue this would be such a life changer when I started, wanting to save a few extra bucks. :)

“I wonder sometimes, how much I would have opted out on, if I’d been better informed or more realistic.”

That’s me! It’s best to let me adapt on the fly (mutable joke)

I have Saturn in Pisces in the 10th house. It’s like I’m stumbling around in the fog, but I’m being held publicly accountable for what I’m doing in there?!

I keep that going going. Yesterday was a nanny goat resting day. Early this morning my hubs and I did a Mercury (talk, talking) exchange, course correction-adaptation. Good to get our bearings before the Aries moon energy wanaes. He went back to sleep, and I went to work. My Saturn in Libra is 9th house sextile Pluto through Sept…so the work hits the mark and I rest that Cappy moon so this old gal can keep going for the long-haul.

Thanks Dixie. Great way to start the work day.

Am I still going? Yes! Am I going strong? Honestly, I have no clue; probably not.

The thing of it is, I know there’s plenty of people out there who see me as having given up and some of them have pretty much told me so to my face. What they don’t understand is that every day that I’m on this side of the dirt and haven’t killed anyone is a victory to me.
(And I’m not being cute, I’m being dead serious.)

“Every personal achievement I can think of, I started off utterly clueless about the demands.”

Heh. I feel the opposite way about what I’m trying to achieve. I went into this knowing exactly how demanding it would be, and tried to iterate this to those close to me. My problem was (was, not is)others who didn’t understand how demanding it would be. I tried my best to give fair warning, but like most things, it had to actually play out before they understood what I meant when I said the demands would be tough, harsh, and unlike anything previously experienced.

It’s pretty much played out the way I knew it would. I had to give up a lot of things, a normal life, things I loved, people I loved. I just hope it’s going to be worth it in the end.
