Astrology Meets Tarot!

IMG_1044"Some of the most wonderful parts of my life, the very best things, were the side trips I didn’t plan for," I tell my daughter. "It’s important to have goals, make plans to get where you want to go, but be open to what else shows up along the way."

Wham! Something unexpected has happened, your world veers in a direction you weren’t steering toward, and the whole landscape is wildly different. Successful navigation from here on out relies on adapting to the changing conditions without getting too disoriented by the shift.

Mercury’s preparing to go direct (thank God)! But that also makes this last call to check your course in the middle of this fire-fest.

Today Tarot is the Three of Pentacles, inverted. He’s associated with Mars in Capricorn and we do see his efforts (Mars) directed at his work (Capricorn).  This version from Legacy of the Divine differs from traditional rendition in it’s an individual instead of a group pictured. So it speaks less to the "working together to achieve" than usually part of this card’s vibe.  I most often associate this card with planning. Inverted, it suggests that planning alone is not sufficient. When your work is turned upside down, be ready to scoop up what’s still valuable and re-orient yourself to the new conditions.

cellphone-drivingKeep directing your efforts to the end goals you seek, and by all means, keep working your plans! But make sure you look up every so often. Step back, evaluate, and seek landmarks. Are your plans working for you? Are your goals the same still? Should they be? Is the sense of the greatest good still behind your enterprise? Check-in time!

Are your plans currently working for you?

This is one of my favorite cards in the Legacy deck! It’s actually the artist’s self portrait.

With all this go.go.go energy, it’s been hard for me to focus on the day by day journey, my mind keeps jumping ahead to the finish line. This card is a great reminder for me to not get ahead of myself! Thanks, Dixie!

It is such a pretty deck, isn’t it, CArRiE? I really do enjoy working with it.

I could stand to take this advice myself. I think I’ll try. :)
