Transit Watch: Mars Square Pluto – April 12, 2011 – Resolute
My eye on the sky.
Mars and Pluto in combination have a bad reputation in astrology, particularly when the planets are in hard aspect. Keywords would include, “manipulation”, “ruthlessness” and maybe even “evil”. This intense energy might be described as dark rage but to me it’s just energy and energy of any kind is always useful for people who can to work with it.
The fact is, this is something you can tap. The collective rage, let’s say. It is possible to tap that and channel it into any endeavor you choose. It’s true, it is highly combustible but so is gasoline and we manage to do some pretty spiff stuff with that.
When I looked at the chart of the day, the work that came to mind was “resolute”.

1. firmly resolved or determined; set in purpose or opinion.
2. characterized by firmness and determination, as the temper, spirit, actions, etc.
There are people who are opposed to intense commitment, not only theirs but yours. However, if you are comfortable with the concept of digging in and getting something done, then you’ll be in your element with this.
It’s true this is dangerous energy so use common sense. Don’t threaten the person holding the gun for example… and to repeat, don’t pet bears, play with explosives, run in traffic or hanging out with psychopaths.
Other than that, finding and outlet for this energy is recommended and it can be as innocuous as digging in the dirt and getting your garden going…

I have this in my natal chart. Yes, I have a goal I am working toward and from where I can see there isn’t much distracting me at the sides of the road.
Getting the (outdoor) garden going sounds like an awesome plan. Also doing lots of spring cleaning over the next couple of weeks. I think I’ll be ok.
I have a project due that day, and this will determine what I will do for the rest of my life!
I think we can call that resolute..LOL
My birthday is the day before — I am seeing this as a theme for my next year — to dig in and focus. Aries is my third house, so with all the energy there, I have to focus my mind. I believe once I do this, bravely, it will totally transform my outward presentation (Pluto transiting conjunct my Ascendant right now)…I have many writing projects percolating, perhaps too many, but I am also feeling energized by all of it. And this activity is helping me feel less bored (restricted) in other areas of my life. Plus with natal Mars in Leo and Natal Jupiter in Aries, I think I’m helped somewhat by that energy and look for this to be a positive, productive time.

Hollly Mollly! Yep, my birthday is the 9th. Looks like a heck of a year ahead of me~ Aries stellium in my 7th house all sitting right on top of my natal Sun & conjuncting my Part of Fortune. We’ll soon see how fortune it brings..:)
With Pluto conjuncting my MC exact, with loads of other aspects trigging off Yods & Grands, I suspect this will be a year I’ll never forget!

How about one natal Mars/Pluto square person dealing with another with same? One (Mars in Scorpio)championing the rights of the defenceless, the other (Mars in Sagittarius) blatantly disregarding them!
well, this transiting mars square pluto happens while transiting pluto is square my natal mars! so i’m getting it from both ends. i am, tho, getting a lot of stuff done and clearing a lot of stuff out. transiting saturn is also conjunct my sun, so many practical matters (that have been put off for months) are now being done.
Aries, Aries everywhere, and not a war to win, Saturn holds opposing reigns and no resolution to any a revolution.
Decision made. Do the Mars/Pluto research and feed the information to someone with a good Mercury/Jupiter/Mars set up. Result = long needed action. This is a child safety issue that was getting to me like an unexploded bomb, which isn’t the best way to feel while trying to manifest as a civilised human being, roaring inside with Mars/Pluto rage = hurt our young through your carelessness and I wanna kill ya! Does it get any more primitive than this response? Elsa may I borrow your Mercury/Mars Libra..just till that Mars Pluto eases off?? : )
On another level, with Uranus\Mars conjunct we have had vicious weather. Tornado’s all around! It’s not always about us. Even though it still touches us in some way.
Oi vey… You’re talking commitment to a Mars opposite Pluto native. Ahhh!
