Filtering Content (And Deluding Yourself) Is Dangerous

This is from the boards on the Political Majority thread. The idea there is it seems to me that most consider themselves to be part of the majority at point. They feel they are part of the “sleeping giant” or the “silent majority”.

It’s really easy to filter and delude yourself. For example, I LOVE twitter. But I can easily filter content so all the streams I read are from people who agree with me. I think this is a dangerous thing to do, at this point. Dangerous due all the Aries on the way…
Saturn in Libra will oppose all that Aries over the next two months. It will want to block that which is raw, unrefined or impolite but this is bound to fail. You just can’t deny or control the copious amount of raw male energy that will be unleashed over the next weeks.
You don’t have to be afraid but incorporating reality (not just yours but theirs) is highly recommended at this time.

bill, I don’t motivated to help you out after being insulted like that. Is this understandable?
bill, if you have been reading this blog, or paying any attention to any of the astrology that is going on, you would understand that in the next couple of months, there is going to be a huge pileup of planets in Aries. That is what Elsa means. We have a lot of Aries energy coming our way, especially in April, and Elsa is just trying to give us all a heads up to what we are all, collectively, going to be facing. OMG, she dropped the “to”. Better lash her to a stake, and start collecting wood for that bonfire!
So embrace the raw energy? I do have a lot of Sag which will trine the Aries energy. Plus I do have a couple of Libra planets as well (thats including Saturn). I guess I will need to find a balance. Would that be correct, balance both energies?

Sorry, Bill, but have you considered that it’s not the editing, but your own info/knowledge gaps that may need to be addressed? I often have to do this to come up to speed on a given topic (here or elsewhere)–it never occured to me to consider the author at fault to or responsible to compensate me, an individual reader.
Re: the topic…I’ve noticed lately in my work and informal contacts/communications that people are really posturing things in a more aggressive style–right out of the gate. Is this, do you think, a factor of the building Aries energies, too? I’ve even found myself quickly biting my tongue to cut off an abrubt or cutting remark here and there.
Oh, there’s going to be a giant Aries pileup along with Neptune entering Pisces, which is its home. So lots of headbutting with maximum delusion. Ha.
CP, I too have been seeing a lot of that, and I’ve been chalking it up to the stellium. I’ve just been telling myself to breathe…..
Actually, bill could use a consultation with, Elsa. She could point out his passive aggressive tendencies that cause him problems in relationship. 
It’s the Aries/Libra thing right there. He’s sorry but I am flawed. Well, bill, you’re flawed as well and I’m not sorry. I would be polite (and smart) enough not to point it out if I were asking you for a favor though.
Oh ya…. I’m feeling the energy! It’s on fire! And just for the record, “Dangerous due all the Aries on the way…” makes perfect sense to me.
This could be a problem with reading comprehension that could easily be remedied with a night class in tenth grade or higher english, grammar and reading skills.
I can help Bill out a little:
( Filtering content according to personal preference is) Dangerous due to all the ( planets soon to be in) Aries on the way ( because filtering out what is unpleasant to you could come to bite you on the ass if you don’t see it coming, which it might considering Aries is an individualistic and combative sign, so it might behoove one to pull one’s head out of one’s ass and pay attention to the views of others).
I understood this post because I can read, and also because I do not have brain damage or a head melted by substances. Reading inferences is a somewhat advanced cognitive skill, but most people who read here can manage it Often severely compromised alcoholics have a problem processing higher functions as a result of a lack of B vitamins. Sorry for your mental infirmities Bill, but I have to say anyone who writes online has the expectation that the audience comes prepared with a basic secondary education.

English is not my first language but I can understand what Elsa said in this post.
I have seen many people insulting others through the internet (and especially in YouTube).
They hide behind the computer, acting without respect and consideration towards others.
I wonder if they are doing this in ”real” life. (to their friends,family)

I agree that there is a lot of filtering going on. It is very dangerous. I think that people filter to feel safe. Of course, there is no safety in ignoring reality. We are in a very dangerous place in history. People are using a lot of money, power and energy to create illusions to support their political and social positions.
Let me give you example. FDR is one of my heroes. As you might guess, I am very liberal and progressive. I studied history and my senior thesis class was on the The Great Depression. Now my granny is conservative and she actually lived through the depression. She is not a fan of FDR and she did not like the long term impact of his social policies. However, she will acknowledge that he provide people with work during the depression. She would never claim that he create or extended the depression. My grandmother and I can agree on what happened during the Great Depression, but we are not going to agree on how we view the policies of FDR. This is legitimate.
Now you find people claiming that FDR caused and extended the Great Depression and that he did not reduce the unemployment. They are creating illusions to support their political position that FDR and his social policies were bad.
It is scary to think that history and science are now being manipulated and misrepresented to support someone’s political view point.
Granny doesn’t like FDR? I guess she won’t mind handing you here Social Security check every month, if she’s so opposed to it…
