Weekend Love Forecast

March 31st, 2011 @ 6:11 pm by Satori

“Let’s, let’s stay together, loving you whether times are good or bad, happy or sad.”
–The Reverend Al Green

Al GreenWith Mars going into Aries and a new moon about to break we’re feeling a movement to new action. The new moon occurs opposite Saturn in Libra so doing the right thing in relating is on the menu. Venus sextiling Pluto presents the opportunity to go deeper in love. Mercury retrograde in effect slows down communications but offers the occasion to revisit issues of unfinished business. This is more likely to be successful if you can go deeper and nurture that connection on a primal level. If you’re gonna fight, fight for love. Mercury retrogrades are rotten for breakups because so often you end up readdressing when it goes direct. Instead, put on “your song” and see if you can’t dance it out.

What are your weekend plans?

Astrology Today: April 1, 2011 – Decorum Is Expected, Regardless

March 31st, 2011 @ 5:01 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

The Moon is conjunct Mars in Pisces. With Pisces-ruler, Jupiter in Aries, many are willing to fight for their beliefs.

I haven’t mentioned Saturn in Libra for awhile but he’s still there. People are expected to act in a civilized manner regardless of the circumstances, otherwise there will be sanctions. Everybody hates sanctions so best to mind your P’s and Q’s.

Is maintaining your dignity important to you?

As Your Life (And Your Chart) Progresses

March 31st, 2011 @ 5:10 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

I was surprised this week when I realised my sister, Annalisa’s chart had progressed to my husband’s birthday, almost. She’s got about a year until her progressed Moon hits Scorpio to match his but the Cardinal T-square in his chart has already formed in her progressed chart and there is abundant evidence of this in her life.

We’re talking about a Mercury, Mars, Saturn T-square here and whenever you put Mars with Saturn (especially in  hard aspect) it’s going to be harsh.  Words like cruel and punishing come to mind as do words like discipline.

Daily Tarot, March 31, 2011: King of Swords and Losing the Dead Weight

March 31st, 2011 @ 5:03 am by Dixie

Astrology Meets Tarot!

king-swords-tarotI make most of my business decisions from my gut. Any work I do, my ultimate aim is to treat people the same way I’d want to be treated. For customer service, that works great! But there are times when you’re best served detaching from the emotional end and thinking in terms of bottom line.

With a hot Mercury Retrograde on, it’s probably not a bad idea to rewind and tally up. You may have to cut through some muck, but it’s worth the trouble. Effectively managing your energy is not selfish or mean. It means you can do more, better for everybody.

Mars In Aries: Beyond Thunderdome

March 30th, 2011 @ 6:15 pm by Satori

“If you can accept losing, you can’t win.”
–Vince Lombardi

Dill PickleSaturn just went through my son’s 11th house and he’s seen his circle of friends tighten. Friends without integrity have fallen away. At the same time Pluto is transiting his Uranus Sun opposition. He’s had a somewhat distant relationship with his father but I see him actively reshaping it. In synastry neither of their Mars aspects anything in the other’s chart. However, they both have Mars in fire, my son’s in late Aries and his father’s in early Leo. They both have an active physical drive. My son’s attempts to engage his father have all fallen rather flat until he hit on this latest strategy: he challenged him to play raquetball. Now they’re meeting weekly and hanging out afterward.

A Leo Mars in the 11th house rarely shrinks from a public challenge. My son, with his Aries Mars in the 6th worked straightforwardly, trying one thing after another till he found a solution. Who will win? Who cares; as far as I’m concerned they both win.

How do you get what you want? Where is your Mars? Does it hunt?

Astrology Today: March 31, 2011 – Saints And Sinners

March 30th, 2011 @ 5:01 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky.

The Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are all caught up in an intense T-square but the Moon, Venus and Mars in Pisces cannot be denied.

Extreme circumstances will breed saints and sinners. It’s not always easy to discern who is who.

Is it inevitable that a person who is raised to cult status will eventually fall?

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go?? Mercury Retrograde in Aries

March 30th, 2011 @ 11:34 am by moonpluto

Transits in transit…

MercuryAh Mercury Retrograde! What is there to say that hasn’t already been said? I love it when astrologers talk about the “re,” you know, re-do, review, revise, remember, and that’s how I look at it too. Something(s) or someone(s) from your past may show up during the retrograde. Could be old thoughts, old dreams, old lovers, old lives, old… problems, old solutions!

Mercury is a trickster and the potential affects of the retrograde are probably more annoying than anything else (say, if he’s messing with your cell phone or internet access) but what he makes us do is pay attention. To the little things. To our communication, which is, really, not so little. During this retrograde period, in Aries, watch how you speak, watch how you think, how you listen. I dare you!

Daily Tarot, March 30, 2011: Stepping Back from that Bike with the 8 of Cups

March 30th, 2011 @ 5:03 am by Dixie

Astrology Meets Tarot!

eight-cups-inverted

"It’s like watching someone learn to ride a bicycle," the psychic said to me in a gallery reading. She was talking about my teenaged kids.

"You see them wobble, and you want to run up and steady them! You want to make sure they don’t fall down. But nobody learns to ride a bike if you don’t let go of it. They have to learn to balance it on their own. There will be scraped knees. You can help bandage afterwards, but step back and let them learn to ride."
