“It’s All About A Feeling” – Leo/Scorpio Style Mania and Found Objects by Nota

Hopefully Coherent Ramblings

I started reminiscing about Aaron yesterday in Third House Venus Dilettante Love Story

I had to put off going to Aaron’s apartment because it started to rain. It rained all through the night and into the next day a hard heavy rain. It was record breaking. We had more rain in that day than we had the entire year. Our lake flooded and the shore was piled high with leaves, sticks, trash and collected north Dallas debris. Hexagram 59.

As soon as the sun came out, my phone rang. “Meet me at the coffee shop.”

“Are we going to look at your files?”

“No.”

We ended up at the lake walking around with paper grocery sacks looking for anything “good.” Aaron said he was searching for these specific curly bits of foam. He had found a piece of it earlier in the day and he needed more. He wanted to use me for my eyes.

Eager to win points with the artist, I hastily collected several pieces of foam that turned out to be the “wrong foam.” He said “you’re getting carried away, slow down, try to feel what I’m looking for.” Then he uttered the words I will never forget. His Scorpionic mantra “It’s all about a feeling.”

So, I slowed down and tried to tune in. I found a battered one eyed Jack in the Box antenna ball that struck me funny, so I threw it in the bag. Ten feet away, I found another with a faded football helmet. And then another and another and another. Apparently the lake had been serving as Jack’s personal Valhalla until the storm purged his fallen warriors with the rest of the junk for one final battle. So, I, the Red Valkyrie dutifully set to gathering them from the field.

About 30 minutes and 20 Jack heads later, Aaron said “Let me see what you’ve got.”

His response to the vision of me shyly opening a paper bag full of miniature mangled heads was pure mania. Sometimes when you mix Leo with Scorpio, you get a subdued black cat. This was NOT one of those times. This was more of a neon yellow jumping spider kind of energy. As someone with a heavy dose of Leo/Scorpio energy myself, I immediately tuned in to the “Let’s go bat shit crazy just for the intensity of it” vibe.

We started rolling around on the ground , literal ROFLMAO in action. Passersby would look at us, unaware they were egging us on, unaware that an audience was all we needed to get to the moon. It just kept getting funnier and funnier. Aaron rolled over to sit himself up and noticed that he had acquired a tiny yellow piece of felt in the shape of a star on his arm.

He gingerly plucked it from his sleeve and held it in his palm for me to see.

“It’s a sign. Must go to synagogue.”

We were starting to come down. The hilarity had run it’s natural course.

After a pause he added “You know I’m Jewish, right?”

I just said “Yeah.” I don’t why I agreed. I didn’t know that before, but I guess I meant that I knew it now. Later, we found three pieces of fake fruit and hid them in the branches of a small bare tree.

Have you ever met a familiar energy? What happened when you combined?

It’s the best! – meeting a familiar energy…someone you hardly know but it just clicks. Mutual brilliance! Restores one’s faith in the universe. Sigh, it’s been too long since one of these.

Yes, I have. Well, because we were so much alike our shadows came into play and the relationship was thwarted. In the end, we learned quite a bit but exhausted eachother. It wasn’t like a strengthening of the good it was more like a spotlight and heightened sense of the bad. Cant say it was a waste or a total trainwreck because there was benefit and validation in the mirror. Just wasn’t what either of us WANTED to see at the time.

We called that “roaring with laughter”, where you laugh so hard from sheer recognition. It was always part of the should I stay or should I go questionnaire – “yes, but do you guys roar?” with huge stay points awarded if the answer was yes. If “roaring” isn’t Leo, I can’t imagine what is.

“Let’s go bat shit crazy just for the intensity of it”. :) _~~

I have a larger than life, “HS Thompsoneque” persona kept heavily guarded under lock and key. Generally, s/he is only able to slip clandestine notes, scribbled on candybar wrappers out the bars and into the other-facing world at large.

Every once in a great while, someone and something=*click*…Issue the weekend pass. “Let the wild rumpus begin!”
Glorious anarchy of thought and convention.

What’s amazing to me is that you did all these crazy things without the help of illicit drugs… Or am I assuming wrong on that point? (razz)
