Transit Watch: Venus Conjunct Pluto – February 9, 2011 – Till Death Do Us Part
My eye on the sky
Venus rules love and money, relationships and beauty. Pluto rules power, death and rebirth and the shadow side. When you put these planets together, it gets real interesting. Let’s see:
- The shadow side of beauty
- Betrayal in love
- Powerful attraction
- Death of a relationship or love
- The appeal of money and power
- The black market
- Prostitution
- Powerful alliances, etc.
Because the conjunction is in Capricorn, business or contracts might be involved and pressure may also factor. As an example, someone with access to dirty laundry (Venus Pluto) might extort money from a person with status, in a position of power.
It’s very hard for anything to be exactly “clean” under an aspect like this. The unconscious runs amok driven be fear of loss of of love or money or power.
This does not mean there is no high expression. Matter of fact, I can’t think of anything that better says, “Till death do us part”. Many people are supported by making that kind of vow.
What these things have in common is that bonds forged at time are likely to have deep and lasting impact. The shadow side of women is also sure to be featured but we’ll also see powerful women commit to supporting each other.
Check the house in your chart where the conjunction falls (6 Capricorn). Expect super-intense energy to be focused there and if I were you, I’d plan to use it.

…oh. Wow. I’m Venus/Pluto conjunct 5th…this transit happens 8th house…squaring my natal conjunction…er…does anyone have a bomb shelter handy???
12th house. Sounds dark, I have no idea what to expect. Kind of excited? ..
In my 1st, conjunct my Moon, trine Mercury in 5th (exact).
Change is afoot. Deep, huge, life-altering, painful change. Days like today I look at my chart and feel overwhelmed.
This is a big deal because its @ 6 degrees Cardinal which is very sensitive after the summer’s grand cross around 4-5 degrees.
Dang my angles sure are getting a workout LOL.
It’s hitting my moon big time. My Pluto-Moon transit has been killing off some relationships. Pluto says, Finally! I say, yeah, I should have done that ages ago.
Maybe Venus will make the process prettier. Here’s hoping! And then I will get ready for the grand cross – my moon’s getting a workout.
7th house. God I hope this means money. Clean money that is.

This occurs on my descendant. I know it sounds significant… but I really have to ask: “so what.” So what? What does it mean in terms of my (non-existent?) romantic life? My social life? My environment, my popularity, my sense of self (or other?)

Wow, just when I started getting over of the transiting Venus poking my natal Venus in Scorpio for 10 weeks or so… This is sextiling my natal NN/Uranus/Venus, squaring Sun, trining the Ascendant to a degree. Also happening on the 4th/5th house cusp with Equal Houses (4th House Placidus).
Welp. It’s in my 12th house, and apparently I have no planets in there. Does that mean I’m OK?
I’m into asteroids – find them fempowering -and that lil ol cj is right on top of my Curie (as in Mme, she who identified the element radium and glowed in the dark ever after) cj Mars cj NN, sq Eris in the 7th.

I swear, every heavy transit happening is ALWAYS sitting on my angles. I’m starting to get really pissed off! My boyfriend and I broke up out of no where and he has stopped talking to me this past week, so who knows if this is involved. I don’t know what transit is affecting what these days… I just know it will be interesting. I am just rolling with the punches these days. I feel like the tennis ball for the universe.
The conjunction falls in my 11th house and squares my natal Pluto at 1º orb, and sextile my Sun at 2º4′ orb, both in the 9th house. Everything Pluto scares me, don’t know why.
Conjuct my Jupiter in 4th House, so God help me!
I always read your board, but I never post. I have a lot of interest. This particular transit will be conjunct my midheaven, mars and venus in the tenth house of capricorn. The orb is within 2 degrees. What could I possibly expect?

Oh! This going to hit my ASC…..dear lord haven’t I been through enough? Between pluto on my ASC, and being in the midst of my saturn return..I need to just go ahead and retire to a cave NOW!
Hitting my 2nds house- I’m guessing it’s not a good time to buy a lottery ticket… or, maybe it is?
3rd house again. I’ve backed off from people who had caused trouble for me, and am just not interested in being around anyone who thinks it’s fun ti cause trouble and spread rumours. I didn’t like it before, and my emotions were caught uo, after I’d warned them I was not in a good place mentally/emotionally they went ahead and just crushed me – now I’m indifferent to them, something I should have been all along. Hopefully by the time this rolls around, I won’t be in a mood that rarely hits me: one that would involve my grabbing their hair, yanking them down into a bent position and warning them to leave me the hell alone, and cut the crap with others. (I’ve actually never done that before, but my tone has implied it.)

The conjunction is in my 12th house, trine Sun/Juno in the fourth. I hope to purge my unconscious fears and move toward the death to us part thing.
2nd house. My Second house houses my Venus and I have had to really take a look at my values and moral behaviours. Monetarily, I could be doing much better to and have been working hard on a financial structure, but Pluto in that house is making sure I am not going to rest on my laurels. Also my 7th and 11th houses are ruled by Venus so there will be some reflections there as well. I am needing to go to court on February 5th to finish something started in November. I also have a friend who is very ill and I fear that Pluto will take him away from me…
It will be conjunct my natal Mercury. I’ve been v ery aware for the last few weeks of my natal Merc/Pluto conjunction, which seems to be inspiring me and making me very ‘quick-witted’, so I hoep I can keep it all under control and not fall off the perch with foot-in-mouth disease!
This conjunction will also square my Neptune, and this transiting planet cluster seems to include the NN as well – so it opposes my own NN late degrees of Gemini. It will also trine my Asc, which is some relief!
I must do some research on trans NN opp natal NN – anyone have a clue?

Hits exactly on my Vertex in my 5th. Not sure what that means! It’s also sextile/trine my IC/MC at 7 Sco/Tau.
It’s going to be in my 7th…natal neptune is at 3 deg cap. I might not notise. I think it will also square my sun,but I’m not sure. I don’t want drama. My bffs birthday is on the 8th.I hope she gets to have a great celebration. She’s cap asc, but I don’t remember at what degree.

Fifth, trining sun in Virgo in first and Taurus midheaven and north node. Wonder what that will mean.
It’s in my 12th also, Elsa… exactly sextile my moon which rules my 7th. AND exactly square Neptune in Libra, which is either in the 8th or 9th, depending on which house system used…. and natal Neptune rules the sign my moon is in, Pisces. Also natal moon could be either in the first or second house, for the same reason. Thanks so much for the heads up… especially the part about “it’s in the 12th so out of my hands.” I’m going to roll with the punches on this one and hope for a silver lining somewhere in there!

It’s in my 11th and Pluto is squaring off natal pluto and reacting with aaall kinds of stuff right now. Hard for me to judge whether that is good or bad right now. I did look up some tips on how to use the Pluto square in a positive light. If you have it and are interested they are here:

This will fall in my 4th house – but there is a nice trine to my natal Pluto in Virgo going on, so I am hoping for the best. I have to go back to Mississippi for a second business trip, but this is for some safety features we are adding to keep people safe at a facility. Project is not going the way I want it to, so I am going to the site. Things always go better when management shows up.
Maybe it will be something easy – I have always had an uneasy relationship with the south (Strong ancestral connection). Maybe coming to terms with some of that. (So far coming to terms has been a decades long process). All the best,

I have had serious knee trouble this week – serious scary knee trouble, and I have to yet again climb towers, so maybe it is with that. I have been doing research all morning, and will finally get it together to loose that 30 pounds (so my knee joint can heave a sigh of relief). stress weight. So – Maybe it is about health.

SInce Pluto in the 12th has been opposing my natal moon in the 6th, just off of my Mars,(this past summer highlighting my natal Mars/Moon opposition and bringing on a still ongoing undiagnosed “mystery” illness( and while I am pregnant limited testing can be done) that has left my life in shambles, I have an appt with my cardioligist tomorrow and hoping for someone to help me out after I have been my head up against a wall in trying to get some real help. What are the chances do you think?
Clarification : Transiting Pluto/Venus in the 12th conjunct my ASC, and opposing my natal moon within the 3 degree orb, and conjunct Mars.

Right on my IC… again. I think all this action on this angle is occurring quietly and subconsciously because I haven’t seen too much trauma manifesting in reality (knock on wood).
This Venus/Pluto conjunction is in my 10th house/Capricorn and is squaring my 7th house/Libra moon (3*) and mercury (8*). It is also squaring transit Jupiter and Uranus that are now in my first house. (I haven’t figured out how to post my chart to this board yet. When I do I will.)

It’s happening on my descendant. But nothing is happening! Nothing’s happened yet! Is something supposed to happen?
this hit my ascendant, square my moon.. my last relationship has been trying to end for quite some time now, but proximity has not allowed this to happen. i hope this will help the tense emotions (and lost love) move along, so i can move on.

My Venus/Pluto conjunction is happening in 5th house Scorpio. Also my Sun is conjunct with Pluto natally in Scorpio. Any ideas… Very intense feelings have been kicked up for somebody in the last 2 weeks – feelings that I thought had disappeared 2 years ago… Its such a horrible feeling… Related to this conjunction perhaps???
