This Sunday, 2PM Central, Soldier Field. The Packers and the Bears face off to determine who will go to the Super Bowl.

I thought it would be fun to take a quick look at the game day and see what’s happening transit wise with each team’s quarterback.

What a way to ring in Jupiter in Aries! The spirit of masculine competition is given public support by Jupiter’s sextile to the Sun-Mars conjunction in Aquarius. If the game starts on time, this is going to be a Gemini rising event. Expect a fast paced and changeable first quarter. But as soon as Cancer comes over the horizon, drawing attention to the late degree Virgo moon as she heads toward hard aspect with Pluto in Cap, there may be significant delays as details are scrutinized by the authorities. By the end, expect some aggressive Leo style drama as the Sun-Mars conjunction descends below the horizon.

I don’t have birth times for the players, so please be aware these are noon charts. The moon signs however are still the same within the full range of possible degrees for the day.

Aaron Rodgers – First Impressions

Here is a chart that says determined focus. Look at that bundle! High likelihood of Moon conjunct Saturn which would add a sense of satisfaction from being an intense hard-ass. The stellium in Sadge makes for a natural sportsman. Sun conjunct Uranus is smart and hard to predict. Mercury conjunct Neptune is imaginative and has an intuitive grasp of things. He may be focused but he always has the big picture floating around in there.

Transits

Mercury/Pluto are square his Mars in Libra. The Chicago fans might be a little rabid, possibly challenging him with jeers and cutting remarks. On the flip side, he could get himself in trouble if he doesn’t watch his mouth, especially around officials. The persnickety Virgo moon will square his Merc/Neptune messing with his spidey senses. He does however get a nice Mars/Sun trine to his Mars that will energize and push him through. Venus is in applying conjunction to his Jupiter so he’s got a little extra luck in his pocket. It will be fun to see if he cashes that in.

Jay Cutler – First Impressions

Another Sadge stellium. Hooray for sports. His Moon is still conjunct his Jupiter/Uranus no matter what time, it is just a question of how wide or narrow the aspect is. This makes him more receptive to the uncertain. He looks for sudden opportunities and takes a gamble wherever he sees one hoping for a big payoff. Sometimes it works, sometimes, well… Taurus Sun opposite Saturn/Pluto asserts himself through willful tenacity and brute force. Mars conjunct Mercury punches you in the face and says “Analyze this.”

Transits

Mercury/Pluto are trine his Sun possibly giving him a penetrating insight into the game or at least life in general. But the Sun/Mars conjunction squares his Sun making him more likely to act rashly out of frustration and anger. The Virgo moon trines his Mercury making his decisions more popular with the critics. Venus is separating from a conjunction with his Jupiter. Looks like he’ll have to rely on skill as his dumb luck card is running out.
