Astrology-Based Advice: She’s Having Sex With Her Friend’s Son: Pisces Sun, Capricorn Moon

December 30th, 2010 @ 6:12 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

Back in April I started a “friend with benefits” relationship with a Cancer/Cancer-rising man who is 11 years younger than myself… and also my friend’s son.

I had never thought of him as anything but my friend’s son until one night he called and came over and long story short, we became intimate. He told me that he had been attracted to me for a long time. What started out as a friends with benefits situation has spiraled out of control to where I think I have serious feelings for him. But I am torn, because I have always loved him as a member of my extended family, but now it is very confusing because of the sex.

Now I am also torn wondering if I am IN love with him, or do I just love him? He is very tug/pull…ie…we see each other about once a week but he never seems to initiate (since the first time). But my spidey senses tell me he has feelings for me. Why doesn’t he act on them? Is it the age difference? I am pretty successful, he is just starting out in life with an entry level job, has no money and lives at home. Or is he just not into me and I should let go? Because I can’t seem to.

Thanks,
His Mother’s Friend

pisces horoscope 2007 razza jewelryDear Friend,

I hate to do this to Pisces but to answer your question, I will have to hit you with a dose of reality. So brace yourself, would you?

First thing to know is this man is acting on his feelings. He’s a double Cancer, attracted to an older woman (mother figure) and he’s having sex with her. Undoubtedly his Scorpio Moon is drawn to the taboo whether he is conscious of this or not.

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, December 30, 2010: Hope for Mars-Saturn

December 30th, 2010 @ 5:03 am by Dixie

Astrology Meets Tarot

star-invertedWe just got Mars square Saturn and those planets are still in play. Mars-Saturn gets a bad rap overall and it’s not wholly underserved. It can be ugly, but as Elsa frequently points out, what you do with this stuff is up to you. Being aware of it, however, gives you the choice.

You can hold yourself to the highest standard of conduct, or you can find fault with everyone else. You can fight to control yourself, or you can fight to control others. We’re talking about managing drives (Mars) with responsibilities (Saturn) intact to get the most bang for your buck.

Under The Scorpio Moon: Emotionally Riled Up

December 29th, 2010 @ 5:10 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

scorpio italianI isolate when I am upset. My inner circle gets even smaller and if I am inordinately upset it can shrink to one or even none. I hate to talk when I’m truly up in trouble. It’s so irritating, people want you to have words.

How long does it take you to recover from emotional upset? Do you calm down quickly or does it take days or even weeks? Do you have a method to calm yourself?

Astrology Today: December 30, 2010 – Tools Work If You Use Them

December 29th, 2010 @ 5:00 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

With the Moon and Venus in Scorpio and Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces, people with battered planets in Cancer get some support though they’re still contending with Mars, Saturn and Pluto in hard aspect.

Mars and Saturn are in their signs of exaltation which suggests that tools will work if you pick them up and use them. This is true for all.

Neptune in Aquarius squares Venus in Scorpio.  There are endless ways this energy can manifest but we’re likely to see at least one veil drop around love or money and what we find behind it will be disgusting.

Mercury turns direct.

Mars And The Moon: Physical Or Emotional Pain by Satori

December 29th, 2010 @ 1:31 pm by Satori

“Oh you can set yourself into a bonfire and we’ll break out the marshmallows and the weenies but you ain’t gonna be on News at Eleven.”
–Harry Callahan, The Dead Pool

Fight ClubYesterday I got the flu shot. My cousin has the flu and wound up in the hospital ICU with nearly total paralysis. My mother was freaking out and applied extreme pressure on me to get the vaccine. I don’t usually get the shot. I rely on my normally strong immune system and prophylaxis, hand-washing, cleaning and avoidance. I allow my mother to schedule flu shots for the kids as they’ve never had bad reactions to vaccines and I figure the risks weigh out on the plus side for their overall health.

What Do You Teach Your Children About Money?

December 29th, 2010 @ 11:35 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

boy with moneyI wonder what people teach their children about money and how they do it, if they do it. Do you set an example? Do you specifically teach some kind of philosophy?

My son has his Sun in Taurus conjunct Saturn and I have no doubt he is going to be able to manage money. Matter of fact, his Sun, Moon and Ascendant are all in Venus-ruled signs with Venus elevated so I’d not be surprised if he were to become known for his money but in whatever case, he is going on 12 years old and I’ve just come up with the new money rules.

This potent eclipse that will not go unnoticed. The Sun and Moon at 13 degrees Capricorn fall at the approximate midpoint between Mars and Pluto in sign while squaring Saturn in Libra.

In short, get your conservative, grown-up pants on because anything else will be subject to scorn under a sky like this.

Is It Possible To Respect A Man Once You’ve Cheated On Him?

December 29th, 2010 @ 6:01 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

ask the collectiveThis is for women who have cheated on their husband, or their ex-husband or their boyfriend, ex-boyfriend, etc.  If you don’t want to answer under your usual screen name, please feel free to use a fake one.

Never mind why you cheated.  Let’s say you cheated and now you want to repair and/or restore your relationship. Do you respect the man?  Is it possible to respect a man and cheat on him?

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, December 29, 2010: Dropping the Heartbreak

December 29th, 2010 @ 5:03 am by Dixie

Astrology Meets Tarot

three-swords-inverted"If I was moving so far away from home, my mom would have sobbed and told me I was breaking her heart," a friend said to me of my daughter moving off. She was impressed I took a less dramatic stance.

"I’m not big on guilt trips," I replied. "Besides, it would have been the wrong thing to do. I didn’t like it much, sure, but it’s not my call. And I’m not going to try to discourage it, either. It’s age appropriate."
