People Who Are Hard To Gift: Your Theory Around Giving Presents
Astrology in real life
Some people are hard to buy for. They may be like me. I just don’t want much and if I do want something, I have no idea what it is.
Some people have very particular tastes. I can be very intimidated by this because I hate to get the wrong thing. I consider it somewhat disrespectful to get someone something they hate but I have little confidence I can tell the difference between blue-red and purple-red or whatever the narrow interest is. In most cases I think *nothing* is better than the wrong thing as *nothing* asks for nothing.
By that I mean if I get you, nothing, you don’t have to come up with a fake thank you which I would consider a gift in itself.
Some people are as easy to gift as others are nearly impossible. Where do you fall in this range? What’s the astrology?

Oh that’s too funny, I was thinking last week of starting a post about gift buying, but just got too busy. I love to give gifts (moon in cappy?) and the more practical the better. But it’s kinda a game for me, with venus in gemini, I love to get you things you’ve not asked for, but could really use. Or things you’ve said you wanted, but thought I ignored you, etc. I get this from my Mom, Gemini Sun, she’s always done this for us and is hardly wrong. I’ve gotten pretty good at this, and enjoy it immensely.
As for myself, I’m hard to by for, if you know me, you’d know there’s stuff I’d love to have. Venus conjunct Saturn and cappy moon, won’t ask.

I think I’m hard to buy for. I can always think of something very specific, but usually the ‘thing’ would be too expensive and so I would refrain from asking for it. I’m the frustrating person who says ‘nothing!’ when asked.
When I was 17 I asked my parents for the autobiography of a particular politician for Christmas…and they REFUSED because they hated the guy’s politics. I was very interested in politics when I was a teenager.
That was a real eye-opener.
My ex in-laws used to buy me all kinds of things I had no need for. Eg. when I didn’t have a table, they came for lunch and I served them on trays. Well before I knew it, 4 ugly foldable trays found their way into my house. Even more irritating? No receipt!
I am pleased with most.
Exept ugly stuff. Like this huge blue bedcover I got from my aunt a couple of years back. It was awful…but again it was worse on her than me. It cost her money. But she is a sweetheart.Very generous. I like edible gifts .taurus mars , I like to eat.
And candles ,teas, showercream ect ..safe and Satisfying.
I gave a lot of homemade cookies out this year, and teas, redwines, coffeblends, organic handmade chocholates ect ..it’s only those close to me I dear to give clothes ,assesories ect..
A gift is a token of love and remembarance. It does not really matter.
I am hard to buy for. I know precisely what I want, and at this point in my life I just go buy it rather than wait for somebody to get it for me which will not happen. It’s not their fault, just the way it is.
I agree that giving nothing is better than giving the wrong thing. I’d rather get nothing than get the wrong thing. But as far as giving, rather than giving nothing if I don’t know what to give, I give flowers (to women). Can’t really go wrong there in my mind. Or a bottle of wine if they like wine.
The astro has to be a Taurus thing.
With all my Piscesness people never know how to buy for me. A good example would be the fact that last Christmas my grandma sent me a lovely pair of emerald earrings. Only problem is, I haven’t had pierced ears since I was 10! All I want is booze, weed, cash or books but people feel uncomfortable giving all of those as holiday gifts so I usually end up with cash moneys. It’s better that way!
I’m extremely diffcult to gift. I’m particular about everything and I would much rather have nothing and just spend time with a person than be given stuff that I don’t want or can’t use in some way. I hate knick knacks and ‘clutter’ types of things like candles and bath soap.
I’m not exactly sure of the astrology but my guesses would be Libra rising (picky), stellium in Cap (particularly Saturn; Spartan, useful things).
i love gift cards.
because unless i specifically ask for something,i probably don’t want whatever people think i want.
my sister’s the only person who’s really good at shopping for me. though my SO is learning…? and he gets me stuff i didn’t even know i wanted, which is awesome.

If people know me, I’m easy to gift. I’m not a knick-knack person, because I hate to dust! I want something I can *use*. This year I got a nice set of matching cookware. Fabulous! Last year was my Kitchen-Aid. I love cashews, especially honey roasted ones. A tin of those and I’m in heaven. A gift certificate for a massage or some treat I would never get for myself.
People who don’t know me…like a Secret Santa thing at work…I always end up with a candle. In a glass jar. I have to dust glass, don’t I? LMAO
