Bridezillas… I’m Just Like Them And Most Likely So Are You
Astrology in real life
I have been watching, Bridezillas and I enjoy it very much in spite of having no interest in weddings whatsoever. I think the women are outrageous, however I’ve seen shades of myself in every single bride profiled.
Irrational? Check!
Demanding? Check!
Unstable Emotions? Check!
Over-reactive? Check!
Blame whoever? Check!
This stuff is on a continuum of course but it’s surely not foreign to me and I’m glad of it. Glad because it means I can see myself in the other.
If you are a woman and you watch, Bridezillas and can’t see yourself in some capacity, you’ve probably got some Saturn in Libra work to do! That is, you’re projecting your shadow.
Are you aware that you too, are crazy?

That show is staged. They’re actors.
You are too funny! Asking a Uranian girl such an obvious question. Many shades of mystical, electrical crazy!
Yes, but
Blame whoever = blame self (regardless of whether I should be responsible or not!)
I have the Sun Saturn thing after all.
I am not any of those things all the time, but I certainly have had moments of all of them.
I haven’t even seen it yet. What night is it on?
I can honestly say I am none of those things, and I’m not just projecting. But I’ve had a different life experiences from most that has humbled me and turned me into the proverbial “Pollyanna.” So my perspective on life is very very different. It takes a LOT to get me to overreact and be demanding.
So given how “hakuna matata” I am, one would think I’m a man magnet. I’m mostly definitely not – men LOVE Bridezillas. So I think I’m going to start watching that show and pick up some tips
.
Okay, Jeannie, I believe you. I act like this so *I* am projecting. ![]()
I should have said this is based on my personal experience. I personally don’t know so much as one woman who does not act like this at times and in fact find it common. Most of us try to hold it together but the human thing or the hormone thing just does us in.
I’m thinking its a good thing to have these traits and that not having them has done me a disservice over the years. I haven’t had them because “the soldier” and I have probably been to same the “garden spots” in the world and that just permanently changes one’s perspective and attitude towards life.
But your article was poignant because my girlfriends who are “bridezilla” types are the only girlfriends of mine to be married or engaged. So I’m thinking that men have a certain respect for Bridezillas – perhaps its that Bridezillas are able to set boundaries. Us “hakuna matata” types are really bad at that one
.
Jeannie, girls I know who behave as trashy as this aren’t married or engaged, just boozed up at the bars.

I’m aware that I’m crazy, but I’m also aware that I’m not nearly as crazy as some/most people like to think I am.
That’s a long way of saying, “I’m aware of people projecting on a handy target.”
