Dixie’s Daily Tarot, December 24, 2010: Moderation Management
Astrology Meets Tarot
It’s Christmas eve, and I draw Temperance for the Daily Tarot. Now, that’s funny. No drinking yourself under the Christmas tree to avoid talking to the relatives or eating so much you need to pull out the fat clothes, okay?
Just saying.
Today’s Tarot is “Patience” from the Psychic Tarot Oracle, aka Temperance and associated with Sagittarius. Number 14 of the major arcana, it reduces to five, a number that indicates conflict and an ever-changing situation. This card can refer to moderation, or mixing disparate energy, like the angel in the traditional version mixes fire and water.
In short, let things happen in their own time and space. I’m no different than anyone else; I get impatient. I can end up trying too hard trying to force circumstances where I want them instead of letting life and individuals organically reach their own conclusions.
Patience advises otherwise. Let people, places and circumstance ripen at their own speed. Growth is most effective that way. Take care of your own business, and leave others to theirs. Instead of fighting, accept the diversity (Sagittarius) for the gift that it is, while keeping abreast of alternative perspectives to keep yourself from getting too far on the deep end.
How comfortable are you with this kind of patience? Got the astrology?

Hey Dixie,
For me, letting things happen so one can capitalize on the outcomes is an act of magic. I “guesstimate” what will “probably” happen and then plan my actions based on that “probable outcome”.
Have a Merry Christmas, Dixie, and a Happy New Year!!
Be Blessed!!
Merry Christmas, Dixie
Merry Christmas most sincerly,Goddess Dixie!
*sincerely
Lotsa Libra, so yes, I can wait. I don’t like being pushed by people, so that means I can’t push them. Same with things in my life – I’m just much calmer.
Merry Christmas, Dixie to you and your loved ones. Thanks for all the Daily Tarot card readings!
Kim
Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the reminder Dixie! Have a Merry, Merry Christmas!
Who was it that said “the reward of patience, is patience”?
what if I’m already wearing my fat clothes? what if the rest of the rellies are already drunk under the tree? then I can join them, right? just being sociable…
Christmas LOVE, Dix.
