Crouching Houseplant, Hidden Chicken: Six Months As A Consulting Astrologer! by Satori

“To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved.”
–George MacDonald

hidden chicken, Gallus ShinycusI can hardly believe it’s been six months. The time has gone so quickly. I want to thank Elsa, HQ, The Mechanic, my clients, The Academy, coffee… This time period has been the most dynamic in my life since having children. Reading charts and working with clients has brought more personal joy than either tequila or observing my ex’s growing bald spot.

I place a high value on the trust each client confers to me. I am genuinely thankful for the opportunity to work hard to validate that trust. I believe that I produce something of value, and I know that experience adds to my life. It produces an energy I revel in and it pushes me to grow. I love this work and I am thankful for all that it has added to my life, thank you!

What part, large or small, does the ElsaElsa World play in your life?

“…has brought more personal joy than either tequila or observing my ex’s growing bald spot.” LOL!!

I think it’s great that you’ve gotten so much from the last 6 months, and hope that you continue for many, many years to come! I’m sure that those you have done readings have gotten just as much, if not more! I can’t wait to get a reading from you myself!

Now, can you please tell me what ‘crouching houseplant and hidden chicken’ have to do with it? ;-)

Well, Thank YOU, Hidden Chicken! :D

What role does Elsa Elsa play… hmm:

1. Elsa Elsa is best for putting Astrology in Plain English. This helps me put my chart into perspective and is invaluable (along with Donna Cunningham’s blog) in analysing my chart.

2. The multiple (dual?) perspectives from Satori and Elsa really helps in coming up with a ‘well-rounded’ way to again, analyse and understand astrology. This could be my Virgo Moon talking, but I find nuggets in details that help really shape my understanding. And my Mercury in Gemini in the 8th luuvvs deep analysis. And my Libra stellium wants many perspectives, to keep things fair!

Hurray for this site!

:) I just wanted to show a pic of my house and luci’s future chicken bag. ever since that movie came out (crouching tiger, hidden dragon) my mind tends to put things into that equation. my personal favorite was my friend’s description of her former man: crouching tiger, preening fuckwit. it’s my haiku.

Hey, I think I was also married to your friend’s ex, preening fuckwit!

Thanks for the explanation, Satori!

“Reading charts and working with clients has brought more personal joy than either tequila or observing my ex’s growing bald spot.” – Indeed! Hahaha

If I started about how big the role this blog is playing in my life, it’d go on for pages, the information here is invaluable and I feel lucky to have found this place.

Congrats Satori, I imagine the feeling is amazing.

In an increasingly polarized world, Elsa and company’s down to earth sensibility and good humor help me stay sane. And the astrology/tarot/iching are top notch!

A very important part right now, both in helping move forward my understanding of astrology, and in helping me feel connected to people in the wider world, since I’m hardly getting out at all. All the blog contributors are a great pleasure to read.

“… more personal joy than either tequila or observing my ex’s growing bald spot”

Hahaha – I really burst out laughing at this. I get the same pleasure when I see on TV the ‘man who ruined my life’, looking more and more like a pickled walnut
