What Is The Number One Thing You’d Like To Pass On Or Model For Your Children?
Astrology in real life
I was talking to my husband the other day about the success (or lack of success) we have had as parents. It’s not the easiest thing to ask yourself but it’s interesting to ponder anyway. It’s definitely a subject one can spin.
I don’t particularly consider myself a successful parent but in carefully evaluating this, I do think I’ve managed to hit the note most important to me. My kids know about love. They know how love and relationship can enrich your life. They have seen it demonstrated (in spades) and this was a core desire of mine.
I realize this reflects my value. In terms of astrology, when we’re talking about what you value, we’re talking about Venus. I have Venus in the 7th house and sure enough, interacting with others and partnering of all kinds is highly prized.
What is the number one thing you’ve like to teach or share with your children? Where is your Venus?

I wanted them to be kind, honestly care about other people. I guess that was the number one thing. Venus in third house Scorpio, trine Saturn and Jupiter.
Venus is in the cusp of the first and second house for me – in Taurus. I want to teach them the value of self-confidence. This is something I have struggled with all my life (having Chiron conjuncting Venus and all). I want to raise my kids to know that they are lovable, wonderful individuals that are capable of whatever they put their mind into.
But while I’m still working on my own issues, I don’t think I can pass these on to my future spawn – so I’ll work before I can have kids of my own
I foresee the same with myself, Elsa. Venus in the 7th. If there is anything I would want to communicate, it would be the importance of love and communion with others. This is also my Neptune IC.
Venus in 7th cj descendant. Love and sharing.
venus in virgo. if i ever have kids, i would like them to know and be proud of their family history. also, i would like my kids to have street smarts without having to be on the streets.
Self-esteem, self-sufficiency, feeling comfortable in her skin, embracing her uniqueness. Venus in Taurus in the 3rd conjunct NN.
I would like them to be happy with who they are. To have self-esteem and capacity to love and to survive a love.. Venus in Aquarius, sixth house
Independence, self-reliance, self-respect, resilience, confidence. Venus in Aries, 10th
I don’t have a 7th house Venus like you and Missty, above, but I’d like to teach my kids the same thing as you – love and sharing.
The only problem is that I don’t think I have this capacity. I have Saturn and Pluto in 7th, these are the only things that matter, but that I don’t own and I know very little of. So, you are lucky in this regard!
I don’t have chuldren yet, but recently met my partner’s 8 year-old son. The feelings that I got were I instantly spotted he had a love of being creative and felt like I wanted to encourage that – and when tackling the nerves beforehand, kept telling myself that all a kid wants is to be loved and cared for.
Until recently, I always thought my venus was in my fourth house (Placidus) but then found out that in the equal house system, it’s in the fifth. This changed my thinking significantly – and made me realise that a fifth house venus is definitely where it sits right for me!
Oh, and I’ve had a lot of discussions with my partner that we both very much believe that kids should be allowed to be kids and grow up in their own time – not to be rushed. Which I guess is also a fifth house thing – kids should be kids.
To be an individual, not pushed around by what others expect. Venus in Scorpio
Not that I plan on having children, for this reason among others, but… DON’T SMOTHER OTHER PEOPLE. They do not LIKE it. They will HATE YOU if you do not let them have some breathing room.
Yeah, this is the opposite from other people, but if you’re from my gene pool, this is important to learn. Too many codependent 7th house planets that want to cling and smother to the point of mental abuse of others.
to learn how to keep themselves on the paler side of the force….
and to be true to themselves.

My venus is in Gemini in 9th house. I have taught them the value of education, travel, self-suffiency and developing the ability to research/learn about the world. If I could do it all over again, I would have emphasized love and familial warmth more.
