Yeah, I so get this attraction/ repulsion and liked hearing this articulated regarding the 8th house. I have been repulsed by my own strong attractions before. Drawn to someone like a magnet whose pull I cannot resist but ohmygod do I want to resist.

I draw that very unconventional Uranus/ Pluto energy as well. It was nice to hear this in astro-speak.

this happens to me all the time. i’ve been trying how to figure out how to put people more at ease for along time but there’s only so much i can do, and only so much energy i can put into it, when people have to take responsibility for their own responses when it comes down to the wire….

I’m usually attracted to things that also repel me…in fact, many boyfriends started out as being “that guy I can’t stand”…lol I think that’s my Pluto energy at work, though.

Learning Astrology

About the title, you left out “simultaneously confused”. I’m not sure what the lesson is here, except to say that several people felt simultaneously attracted and repelled during an 8th house transit of Saturn, without knowin why.

I think that the time to post about it is after you find out why, not before, and with definite realizations, not conjectures.

It sounds like you are tryin to define who you are by all this. Why not let that be the subject of the inquiry “who am I”, because that answer must come first, before you can answer the question of “why attracted and repelled?”

Learning astrology, wish I understood what you said about the 8th house saturn since I have that placement natally, but beginning with your paragraph # two it sounds like … um, Greek? In fact, I am not sure I understand paragraph #1 either, re: learning astrology, you must be a much faster study than I am…Way over my head! .

I too loved this video – gave me lots of food for thought, despite intermittent brain blares of “damn, she looks gorgeous in yellow.”

Great article Elsa, I’m so glad you brought this back up(I wasn’t here two years ago).

I get this a lot from men. Women are just plain competitive with me and I’m trying to figure out why. I’m not sure if it’s more my 1st house mars conjunct the asc & mercury, as I have no planets in my 8th house or in Scorpio. I do have pluto aspecting every planet in my chart expect saturn & uranus, maybe that’s where it comes from? My gut says mars is the reason for the reaction from women and pluto is the reaction from the men? I don’t know, will have to look into this more.

As for the story(s), I am grateful that you are open enough to share them and help us all learn, plus I just love them, you are wonderfully entertaining to me(I mean that in the best way!)
