Astrology Meets Tarot

hanged-man-invertedWell, heck. We’ve been talking about seeing doom around every corner, dealing with heartbreak, and moving on. Notice the trend here? Addressing difficult situations is evidently on the menu and we’re not quite done with the topic, says Tarot. Ignore what Tarot says at your own peril, says Dixie. Ha!

It’s not so bad, though, really. Because if you know how to weather the storms, you are set in inclement weather and sunshine alike. You have the tools, the strength, and the insight on hand, readily available to handle whatever life tosses your way. And that’s a good thing.

Today’s Tarot is the Hanged Man, coming in inverted. I always chuckle at seeing this card inverted, because it feels a little paradoxical, as he’s upside down to begin with. So is he upside down, really, or right side up, or both? Appropriate for a Neptunian card, I’d say.

The Hanged Man refers to faith and acceptance, so usually, when you see this card inverted, we’re probably talking about difficulty letting go, a lack of faith, or fighting acceptance. In almost every version I’ve ever seen, the man has an expression of utter serenity—a strong indicator of the energy of this card. As advice, the card is related to waiting. The tide comes and goes, so watch your timing.

bore-tide_3389Thinking in terms of tides is a very effective way to address this energy, by the way. This is a Neptunian card all the way, so know whatever concerns you have will roll out just as effortlessly as they rolled in. This is not the time to look for “closure,” trying to resolve, or demanding answers. You won’t find that kind of resolution right now, no matter how much you’d prefer. So why not make peace with the uncertainty?

I know it’s hard sometimes, because I struggle with it myself. I can tell you without hesitation, though, the struggle over controlling that beyond my control doesn’t seem to improves the odds I’ll like what I get. It just makes me miserable though the process. Might as well assume it will work out, because it will. May not work out how you’d like, sure, but it will work out regardless. Life keeps moving, after all, whether you’re going with the flow or swimming against the tide.

The Hanged Man tells us we can’t know all the answers right now. Sometimes, it’s just flat out of your hands. Inverted, consider this a nudge to make peace with that fact. If you’re wondering what your job is now, it’s simple: cultivate your faith. It’s your best bet here, hands down.

How are you are dealing with unfinished business?

Pisces Sun. I’m COOL with dealing with unfinished business… proving your point about Neptune Dixie L M A O!!!!! I wait, I wonder, I think there’s ALWAYS a reason why things are caught up & not flowing for the moment. They’ll come soon enough. Only time I can get fired up is on the Romantic front. That’s Aries Moon girls fault completely though… she takes over & has to brandish her sword =)

Good Morning, Dixie…

Neptune is the ruler of my chart so I have to move to a different level of abstraction in order to look more closely at it so I pulled a clarification card from my new Necronomicon Tarot deck. X the Wheel (reversed). LOL! like the “Hanged Man” the wheel looks the same upside down as it does right side up so the message is clear that I’m ignoring the cycles but not just any cycles, oh no, that would be too easy (so says tarot). Nope. This one’s about the cycles of faith and acceptance.

So I thought about this a bit and realized the opposite of faith and acceptance is doubt and reluctance (at least for me). It’s the faith thing that stands out. I gotta learn to pay attention to “when” I’m in the mood for crafting some good spells. Doubt does get in the way a bit. I need to just wait. Wait for when my “faith” is up and I feel I can take on the world.

Thanks, Dixie!!

Be Blessed!!

(Groans) Yeah. We have to sift through the childcare finances. I have been wavering between being passive aggressive and not asking for the money so that I can demonstrate his deadbeatness…and actually being a decent person and giving him a chance. Ugh. The high road is always the right one, though. Damn my conscience…

On one hand, I have no problem with waiting for the tides and having patience and faith (Neptune conjuct AC and stellium in Pisces), it’s that dang Aries Sun/Venus that sometimes need to be reminded. Thanks for this reminder card Dixie!!

Thanks Dixie, I keep getting Hanged Man reversed regarding a particular uncertain relationship, and the uncertainty has been bothering me. Best I just accept it, because it is definitely out of my hands..

This card has been coming up repeatedly since I got my deck. I always see it as a kick in the pants for not trusting my gut
