I’m home from the library with a book, History Of Magical and Experimental Science by Lynn Thorndyke. The book was on hold for me, I don’t remember placing the hold but obviously I did.
I sat down and cracked the book open thinking it was a book on prisons, published in the 1930′s that I am waiting to read. The book is old (published in 1958) and has no cover so I just thought that was what I had in my hand. I just wanted to get a flavor of my prison book and instead I read this about, Bernardo Cesi, (1581 – 1630).

in italy most people consider your astrological sign as important (well, almost) as every other form of identification. i haven’t lived in america for awhile, so don’t know if this has changed.
but here, it’s completely normal to hear “che segno sei?” in discussions between the newly-aqcuainted.
